- Kenneth Branagh's most recent Poirot mystery had so much going for it, only to fall short in the first few minutes. As a film colorist, visual texture and storytelling matters immensely to me. I've now seen the film in theaters, and both the HDR and standard versions at home. To their credit, the SDR version was the least problematic, but there is still a lot to be desired.

Thanks!
You described our entire pipeline for Reflection 😂
I have so many visual gripes with Death on the Nile to be honest, and this is just fuel on the fire for me.
That is very true haha!
This is really good Barrett!
Thank you!
In terms of cinematography and storytelling, I think Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express is definitely the superior film, although it does make somewhat the same mistake with a certain black and white flashback. But due to its short length, it’s rather harmless
I agree 👍🏻
Long time no see - you still working the channel? I hope everything's fine on your end? I'd love some color analysis on Mad Max Fury Road, btw... should you want to get back into it soonish. ;-)
Thanks for the message! Yes the channel is still in the works! Last 3 months I've been slammed with work which is a great problem to have, but content creation took a temporary slow down
The next video has been written and recorded, just need to find the editing time haha
