Dark side of high stakes, you gotta be able to make these bad "concessions" to stay in the games unless you really think its affecting your poker, very unlikely to find another game like this in the world. Definitely not great to see on a televised program.
Mikita the type of guy that always said he didn't learn for exams and still passed in one take.
Koon and Badzia doing a very good job keeping the table fun. You need to do this to make the rich fish coming back , many HS players forget it ...

Mr head massage guy is the reason this game exists. All the old Chinese guys are at a disadvantage, but they're willing to gamble for fun. So the pros try to keep them happy, so they can keep taking their money.
I would play instantly standing on my head naked if I could play heads up pots vs. that guy, pretty sure there is a reason Mikita didnt complain too much. Dont tap on the tank...

Really like lex on the commentary, very good knowledge and good at explanations. Also, he knows when to stop talking. Really don’t like the guy who called time after like 25 seconds but took forever to make a call with a set

Hello David! In Short Deck poker, an Ace can act as a 5 in a straight, thus A6789 is a straight. Still five cards 😉

Agreed. the best triton cash games I’ve seen involved Tony g and I’ve seen most if not all of them.
These guys especially the Asian bunch are not right for televised poker. They have zero personality and add nothing to what is sadly becoming an increasingly formulaic and boring format; raise, 3 bet, all in, call/fold. They don’t have big enough stacks for these kind of raises, blinds, and antes.
Please keep Lex as a commentator

I don't understood. Why Wang Jun won the hand with a straight holding an A/8 agains two pair for ESTI Wang with two pairs anda 9/7 on the hand? The hand starts in 9 minutos and 06 seconds and finishes in 11 minutes and 35 seconds
🃏 Short deck: 36 cards (2’s thru 5’s removed). Flush beats a full house. Ace acts as high (TJQKA) and low (A6789) for making straight (so acts as A and as 5). No blinds, but ante only and double ante on the button.

Lex did explain it at the start of the video. In short deck the Ace can act as a 5. So A 6 7 8 9 is a straight. Just like in Holdem A 2 3 4 5 is a straight. And Straight > 2 pairs

Nah there's no way he gets paid off here. The moment he calls Liu Ming knows he has the King and from other players he couldn't have gotten value either. There was nothing more to get, might as well raise.
Probably got more value against the field checking, he bets and Qhigh flush will just call a bet of maybe 20k, wang jun doesn’t bluff. Probably got more value with multiples opponents in the hand. If Wang jun doesn’t bluff he gets paid by Q high flush every day. Qhigh flush cannot call against a river 3bet 3 handed
