I would have add " Pretty Savage " by BlackPink as a sample of KSHMR's " KSHMR Vol 3 ^^ (for the first extract)

A lot of people would say Kshmr is like the foundation of kpop songs but I am more impressed with the producers like how are they able to transform the song into something new. That requires experience and creativity as well, you know
if they are creative, they will not use samples
@@verlidestriawan6658 I disagree. It's like saying digital art is not art or good enough because it's easier... you still have to put an effort and be creative in a way to make all of these things. The sample is just a part or the song after all, not all of it.

Twice's producers were genuinely obsessed with that snare roll for all of Eyes Wide Open
and it was used in some itzy songs in 2020 too. It's so good!

@@IrisesAndViolets that one too. It's a fantastic sample for sure

@@tien137_ The one in More & More
i'm amazed at how many times KSHMR's samples have been used, it's so cool and interesting to see the same sound used differently
The only "interesting" thing about it is how repetitive and uninspired the kpop music scene actually is with all these blatant sampling. Lmfao
@@justajakefanboy5409 it is actually cool and interesting, sure in some cases it is just a blatant copy from the original sample, but when it’s changed and changes the vibe it’s super cool. Sampling is not a bad thing whatsoever

6:27 THE TRANSITION BETWEEN LUPIN AND WHO DIS 🤨😫
The grip Arabic instrumentals have on KPop
Arabian music/musical instruments are just the finest and most elite
Indian instruments too! ^^
Basically it is a Indo- persian style he uses ..
@@sachinvenugopal6926 both arabic and indo-persian music cultures have great influence on one another’s composition and instruments, which makes them sound so similar :) the Oud, the Tabla or Riqq sometimes, the Qanoon (son of the Egyptian harp), all have extremely distinct sounds that are produced in Turkish/Indian music too. Arabs also use the kamanja (Kamancheh) and Naay (Ney) which originate from Persia. They all sound so heavenly when combined in a song

I'm glad sampling is becoming normalised in kpop and channels aren't dragging producer's that use them. because when I first got into K-pop whenever a song was "exposed" for being sampled (there's absolutely nothing wrong with sample's as long as it's credited), the group would immediately get accused of plagiarism (completely different from sampling).
I enjoy sample's because it's interesting to see how producers in K-pop use them to create a completely different feeling then the original. Next level being an example (even though it's a remake) it's so cleaver how the producer's managed to completely 180 the song by adding incorporating different genre's such as jazz.
favorite sounded a lot like "are re are" from "dil toh pagal hai", a really iconic and famous bollywood movie!! the instrumental is just gold and i can never get enough of it ugh
Yeah it's a amazing song 😍

I was noticing Bollywood type music in raise in Kpop recently, now I know why. By the way NCT 127 Favorite sample was used in a 1997 Bollywood movie Dil Tho Pagal Hai so I am not sure whether K$hmr is original sample creator since his came in 2018 but I do think his was used in NCT.

@@mayax107 yes they are different but maybe kshmr was influenced by the og one? Cause other than a few beats they seem very similar. plus kshmr is indian so he must have come across the song once to get inspired by it?

The second one was also used in woodz song called buck
2:09 is also Mamamoo’s 2020 MAMA intro, before aya
I just found your channel and omg, I am so fascinated. The fact that there's these producers who just make these short little samples and then kpop producers just find ones they like and put the SAME THING into a bunch of different songs without even changing it! it's not a bad thing, it's just so wild that I never knew this is how they made these songs
They indeed pay the sample if all the sample are non royalty free sample
nah it is a bad thing bc it shows you’re not creative enough to make the sample your own. jhope’s ‘ego’ is a great example of a sample being used right
