đ„ PEPPER STEAK SANDWICH - THE STEAK BOMB
Shaved steak or steak tips (approx 1 lb or as much as you need)
Onion
Peppers (green, red, spicy, you pick)
Cheese (White American from the deli or provolone is recommended)
Genoa salami
Hoagie rolls
On a griddle or flattop, cook the sliced onions and peppers in 2 tbsp oil over med high heat until the veggies have softened and onions become translucent. Remove onions and peppers and set to the side. Now throw on your shaved steak (and maybe a little extra oil) and cook until steak is browned on all sides and done. Add the salami as well. Once the salami has crisped up just a little bit, remove it and layer the salami on the bottom of the hoagie roll.
Mix the veggies back in with the steak. Portion out enough veggies and steak for one sandwich and lay a few slices of cheese on top of each portion. Let the cheese melt and then, using a spatula. remove each portioned amount of steak, veggies, and cheese and lay it in the hoagie roll. Add your favorite condiments and enjoy!

Ive lived in new england my entire life and never knew these were really popular here. I always loved cheesesteaks but since my buddy put me onto a steak bomb from our local joint in Rhode Island, I've never looked back, great video. Looks delicious too.
Looks really really great. Thanks for throwing us in there and letting us be a part of that masterpiece.
We are really enjoying your seasonings! đ„đ„đ„đ„

OMG ! Beautiful steak sammich Zen Master ! How did you like the Smoke Bomb ? It is one of my go to seasonings. Hoping all is well with you, Martha and Gravy ! Cheers!
Smoke Bomb worked really nice! We have busted open quite a few of the rubs and are enjoying them. Looking forward to featuring them in upcoming vids! Thanks again for the connection!! đ
Great change from a Philly cheese steak! I like to toast the bun to, to keep it from getting soggy lol. Thanks for great idea's!
The bun really held up this time, no soggy bites!
Looks good! Smoke on, Brother.

This looks ridiculously good, but then again all your cooks do! I love my cast iron and have a similar griddle but have yet to use it. Iâm thinking this would be a great recipe to break it in!
Quick question? How much charcoal do you recommend? Half chimney, 3/4 chimney? Do you spread the coals out on the charcoal grate or use baskets?
Hi Rob!
I recommend using a full chimney. If you have a basket or two, use those. The baskets elevate the charcoal a little bit so the heat is that much closer to your cast iron. If you don't have any baskets, I'm sure just dumping the charcoal on the grate would be fine. Maybe instead of spreading them out you could form a little pile that matches the shape of the cast iron you're using. Make sense?
Thanks for getting in touch with the great questions, and thank you for watching!

@@BarlowBBQ Awesome! Thank you so much for the quick reply! I do indeed have baskets that I love as well as a couple of Slow n Sears and a stainless Drip n Griddle. Iâve used all extensively and for some weird reason I prefer the baskets. I tried using the DNG on top once but was so afraid of it warping that I donât think I got my fire hot enough.
Thank you so much for your quality content and your humble delivery. I really appreciate your channel!
Now that I know you've got a Slow N Sear, that's actually what I used. I moved it more towards the middle of the grill so I'd have room for my griddle above. But the Slow N Sear is just the right size for a griddle! đ
@@BarlowBBQ Matthew you rule! Thank you sir!
Can we please make these in March? Iâll take some mushrooms on mine.
We certainly will!
