"Thank you to everyone for their heart-felt support during this difficult time. Your calls, social media comments, emails and wine orders are very much appreciated. I am thankful for your support of the Castle and honored that you continue to purchase and enjoy our wine which will help sustain the castle during this horrible time.
I am thankful that no one was injured and want you to know that we are strong and resilient, and we will overcome this tragedy. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors, some of whom have suffered great losses. We are forever grateful for the hard work and dedication of the brave fire fighters and the first responders.
While the Castle is currently closed, we are already hard at work repairing systems and getting back on our feet. We expect to resume shipping your wine orders by the end of the week and to reopen the Castle within a week for wine tasting.
I am looking forward to putting this disaster behind us and hosting you again at the Castle soon. "
- Dario Sattui
Wish you all well!
Castello di Amorosa sending love and prayers your way! We loved our visit to this gorgeous wiinery castle! Everyone must go see it as soon as they rebuild.
0:18 - "It was going quite good."
Where do they find reporters like this?!
Absolutely tragic. My heart aches for Dario, and Napa/Sonoma counties.
I spent 33 years in the wine biz and the highlights were visiting Napa and Sonoma. Sad to see this. Keep safe.
alcoholic >.>
Infuriating!
My heart is broken! I grew up taking trips to this winery and to V. Sattui with my family. Praying for everyone!
Don't be sad. My dad built this castle almost singlehandedly. When he died, the owner didn't even put up so much as a single tiny plaque commemorating my father's work that made him so obscenely rich. Watching it burn is darryl sattui's shitty karma, plain and simple.
Looks like arson. The building seems to have been targeted considering the brush and trees and fence surrounding the property are untouched
Why? Who would do that to him? I'm in tears!
Thats a strang arson..... More like microwave arson to me.... Only thing that gets really affected are man made things.... and isnt it strange how the wind magickally starts right before fires break out? Even in Oregon here where we don't diablo winds or santa anna winds.... first winds pick up, then fires break out!
Perhaps Ex CIA Robert David Steele was right when he said "Directed Energy Weapons without question... MICROWAVE ARSON..."
Saddened by the continuing devastation. Just when we thought it was over. Please stay safe everyone. And THANK YOU to all the fire fighters who have been working so hard thru all of this. 🙏😞
As a Barossa resident this breaks my heart. Stay safe everyone.
I've got the smallest Violin in the world playing 'my heart bleeds for you'!
This makes me cry. This castle is one of the main attractions of the wine country. They should have guarded it with their lives. This is the Eiffel Tower of the wine country.
$40m invested into their castle.. They could have fire proofed it
Ce château ... c'est mille fois mieux que la tour Eiffel ! Nous prions pour vous chers amis face à cette terrible tragédie, soyez assurés de nos fraternelles amitiés de France.
So much work 😢😢😢
Heart breaking 😔
Yup
How so? That is beautiful. Don't know why that guy is wearing mask though, DON'T WEAR MASK
I was just there yesterday! Can’t believe it!!
What a shame. Nothing like it. I did numerous wine demos.samples. sales. Mondavi. Etc..
Absolutely heart wrenching for all of the businesses lost.
Me and my dog loved that place! He made sure he owns that castle by the time we left and now we may never going back there.
A time for compassion and not hateful comments
Oh no...this is (was) really great winery, we enjoyed it while my family was there.... so so sorry .
I’m looking at all the pictures we took there just few years back.
My heart goes out to all over there in beautiful country!
I’m so sorry. My heart aches for you. I can’t imagine!!
Sadly..... i visited here last year (2019) early August. Nice vineyard and beautiful building. Hopely soon it can be built and repaired again. Keep up the spirit. I love you Napa. Greets from Indonesia🙏
Oh no! That’s so sad!
It's so sad seeing a man cry it's even sadder seeing an old man cry😩😩😭😭
So sad
I’ve been there and I even have pictures of them....
It’s very sad, sending love and prayers for you to overcome this tragic situation
Would he file the fire under home owners insurance? Or would it be filed under small business insurance?
So sorry for your losses, may the rest be saved, keep safe please, may the future hold good things and rebuilding of your dream.
Loved going here!!!!
Noooo. 🥺😭
So sad. I've visited a couple of times from England. Hopefully it can get rebuilt and back to its former glory.
Oh no! ): i have been meaning to return here because of my membership!
My family visited last summer. So sad and heartbreaking.
I love going to this place.
No one deserves their hard work to go into flames. Prayers and love sent yr way.u are wished a quick recovery of all lost.GBU.💕
I heard that many 2020 vintages were already spoiled due to fire a month ago. The grapes smelled of smoke and toxic fumes from august fires in Napa and Sonoma counties. Especially the more delicate and thin skin grapes. SO SAD for all vintners in the area and for their great losses. WE MUST ADDRESS GLOBAL WARMING WITH MORE REVERENCE.
Until you understand the science, no productive action can be taken to address the current changes in climate. The planet is NOT warming and hasn't been for a decade. Temps were much hotter in the 20s, 30s, and mid 1900's. There are much bigger scarier issues at work here. None of them are caused or controlled by humans. Pls study the real science. The warming propaganda is dangerous to you and all of humanity. I suggest you start with a bit of astrophysics. Go to the Suspicious Observers yt channel and watch the video Catastrophe Cycle for starters. That will be very eye-opening. Best to prepare.
It isn’t global warming it’s agenda 21 demolition
@@imd1b4u - That proves absolutely nothing (or exactly nothing).
Such a beautiful and fun place to go. Sad to see this happening in California. So much love goes out to all the people, businesses and residents having to face these historic disasters.
I can’t believe...😟
Same .
Oh No! What a tragedy! So sorry for your loss.
😢
So sad to hear ! 😔. We had the wrap party there for the Pixar movie Brave.
Can't see without tears...My thoughts and prayers...
So sad, sorry for your loss 😞Mr. Sattui
A Brick building and many trees around and the lawn still green!!
I’m guessing arson
Arson or roof caught an ember. But seems somebody could have protected the place. What a loss...
How.
Man, that owner's interview really tugged at my heartstrings. Gonna have to help support him and ensure his business stays alive by buying his wines.
C'est terrible, c'est terrifiant ! Nous soutenons et nous sommes solidaires avec ces malheureux sinistrés ... Nous prions pour vous chers amis, que Dieu vous vienne en aide !
Well, there is still lots of wine produced all over the world just as good or often much better..................
I’m blessed Ridge Vineyards is safe as of now 🙏🏼 please keep ridge in your prayers!
I bet Governors winery is just fine.
oh no😭😭😭😭
I am so sorry
We are praying for you, Dario!
So sad.
The Castillo is safe, it’s the warehouse and lab, records and the current entire year of wine that was destroyed.
Tragic especially when it is targeted manmade destruction
@@thisistheworldtoday antifa boogieman? laserbeam? insurance fraud? Take your pick nutso

I cant believe i never been there.
Oh no 😦
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

.
that really stinks... so sorry for them. neat building.
Quedé griga con las noticias no se inglés
Nancy's house burn yet or did the huge wall stop the fire
😢😢😢
Incredibly sad
Poor guy spent his heart into this winery and now it is on fire...burning up. Sale that hot wine. cooked winery grapes, smooth and fine, now hot new salers! WoW! I will buy it! Put a new label on it and then go sale it. Come to my house first.
Live in fire country, you rebuild with no thought to some kind of water protection. House burns leaves a pool full of water, why? Instead of directed energy weapons I am seeing another type of directed energy at least for some.
😢😢😢😢😢
Yesterday the media ran pieces that the castle was saved and now its 180 less than 24 hours
You just have a dense skull, nothing to worry about. Here sweetie, the REST of the building was saved last night from this fire from spreading. They successfully isolated it to this one building, and it's clear only "damages" as per title and content. You are welcome for the extra brain activity today you geriatric nut
Ummm, another thought , defensible space would be the wine grow, unless well watered moisture vines burns. Plus, a stone castle burns, were all in trouble. I wonder if Spain has the same problem, castle in a similar fire environment for hundred of years burning down, from nature, not man, thoughts to ponder....or another theory is there an agenda...
There is definitely an agenda. But thus-far, there is no evidence one way or the other, as to what or who caused these fires. I will say though, that it's very suspicious, that several fires started at the same time, in the same area, and then presumably "merged" as the media has reported, because of wind/ weather conditions. Not to mention the fact that there have been devastating fires there every year. Whereas in the past they were rare. Brainwashed fools will say this is because of Global Warming or Climate Change. But neither of those are responsible for fires.
The land was maintained it was not fire danger this has to be arson. All the property around was well maintained. The people must protect their property forced evacuations are causing fires to burn. The fire department is doing nothing to protect property.
Ummmm, any signs of lasers...
Remeber a few years ago this happened. Fire behavior did not make sense, engine blocks melted ect....at the time did not make sense. Prior Hotshot.....has Fire changed from 1996 to 2020? Just a coincidence that some of the most valuable land in the country is on a 2nd run for destruction..
The fire was giving off lots of heat due to the size of it and being fueled by the winds and the winds that the fire itself created
@@RM-od6hg there is heavy fuel loading near houses, Sonoma County has alot of tax money, like Marin County, should invest in vegetation inspectors, county hotshots, county brush management, helitack, as well as surrounding city's. Santa Rosa ect. The city of San Diego has a brush management crew , all winter does defensible space around homes in high risk areas, its all in priorities
All praises to the MOST HIGH
Why does it look as though bldgs are burning, but there is so much green around them. It is very strange!
umm, because water doesn't burn??
@@tjts1 yeah I don't understand why city folk (I'm guessing that's what they are) can't get why dried out old wood burns but fresh wood filled with water and alive doesn't. Must have never gone camping. Trump should go camping. Like for a week. no showers. no running water just dig a cathole like a real human. He'd be about as comfortable as I am around skyscrapers.
A Di Da Phat🙏🙏🙏
Oldies music
Sorry so so sorry!
Rebuild
Sorry folks..gavins wineries are all that matter
It is Very Sad God Bless You All to Move Forward with Strength and Courage🍀🌼🥀💙🤍❤️🇺🇸
How could the owner let this happen!! That is a fun winery to visit!
Maybe if they rebuild this place, they can correct the name to proper Italian: Castello dell'Amorosa.
Damn A-21 to the hell of wence is came.
Noooooooo
Insurance scams...... That's not a conspiracy theory either, these people set some of their own shit on fire to get paid.
All BS. Where was Cal Fire?
Ohhhhhhhhhh we lost humans HUMANS
please don't hit mayacamas. please...
I wish they had moved those animals far away already
Climate change requires a new mechanized fire fighting strategy. We need a whole squadron of fire-fighter aircrafts to bomb these fires before they get out of control. The excuse to let small fires get big because the terrain is too steep must be deal with. It is happening month after month and year after year. More ground fire fighters is NOT the solution. We don't need more human fire fighters, we need many many more fire-fighter aircraft and the support and air control network. California should ground all commercial airplanes in the the fire areas and only let fire-fighter aircrafts to dominant the sky and dominant the fire. Status quo of Calfire is NOT acceptable.
Scrotiemctrevorballs Arsonists caused it
while reading about the
Oakland fire 20 years ago I saw airplanes going in the wrong direction bad communication which cause the fire to grow quickly. There needs to be a better response. I also want to know how fires were started
I agree that we need more firefighting air tankers. That is a good strategy. However these fires have zero to due with "Climate Change" (or so-called Global Warming). The Climate has always been changing for 4.34 Billion years and human have nothing whatsoever to do with it.
I'll bet newsome's winery doesn't burn !!!
SPRINKLER SYSTEMS SAVE LIVES AND PROPERTY!
Isaiah 63:3
"I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me, for I will tread them in my anger, and trample them in my fury."
It is only going to get worse. Turn to Jesus while there is still time.
Isaiah 24:9-11
"They shalt not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. The city of confusion is broken down; every house is shut up, that no man may come in. There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone."
Where are the fight fighters to help putting out that damn flame!!!! Oh no.... the things that make California so special have gone up in flame this year. Damn 2020.
Okay California people quit your crying .so we had a little fire. You lost your house home family I didn't lose a damn thing, suck it up and get it together let's rebuild California
So sad that there are so many fires going up. Arson for sure.
THIS MAKES ME SICK
