    Hi Siah. Thank you for this video. In regards to your presser foot struggling getting over the hump by zipper tab, you may want to look into adjusting the height of your center foot. I believe your machine will have an adjustment you can make. I know I have that capability on my 1541S (same issue when it came to a hump in the seam). Check with the store you got your KingMax. Good Luck.
    PS... your tutorials are SO helpful. I tend to get confused when reading a pattern and watching you go through it helps a lot since I am more of a visual learner. THANK YOU..!!!

      @ParchCraftAustralia Před 3 lety

      @@MelissaH05 hi Melissa ...I've made a few since then and I must admit that the thinner I make it the better it comes out. I've done a couple that were just so thick with the vinyl I used in that area that the line of attachment was dreadful looking. Also I did stitch through the side edge of the flap once too!! If it's too thick the zipper tabs just won't be able to pull out and look nice either. Learned only cotton for those after wrecking with vinyl ...and just the sheer act of turning the wallet out the right way is a killer if its too thick too. I found doing the inside lining from waterproof canvas helped...not interfaced..its the imfacing that makes that flap to body seam too thick too.

    Great video! THANKS! New to bag and wallet making and am so confused when it comes to snaps (all types), rivets, etc and the tools to install. I see you posted the KamSnap link but that shows a tool and plastic snaps and I see you used a manual "rod" and "hammer. If I'm wanting to set myself up with a simple starter kit that would have a variety of everything I would need just for personal use sewing, is there something you can recommend? I appreciate your input!!

    • @SiahSwag
      @SiahSwag  Před 3 lety

      I would recommend an actual hand press, it can do anything. you can purchase from multiple places, amazon, kamsnaps.com/collections/google-adwords/products/kam-snap-press-fastener-grommet-rivet, Just be sure that you need the extra dies for the different hardware you are installing.

    I just watched your video, I am going to be making the Mia wallet and it was very helpful to see it from start to finish. I do have a question regarding your marking pen. This may sound silly, but I have bought so many marking pens, chalk, etc. that either doesn't work well or especially on darker fabrics show up at all. right at the beginning of the video, you were marking the card pocket slots, and your center line showed up perfectly. Would you mind sharing what brand you use? Thanks!

Should I recut and make them a little larger?
