- Lynyrd Skynyrd played at the Ryman Auditorium in Tennessee in 2022, and they brought quite a few big name guests on stage. Here, they perform Saturday Night Special with Marcus King. This was the final concert to ever be recorded and filmed with Gary Rossington, who also plays on this song. He came on stage after a few of the first songs and then played the rest of the concert, was a spectacle to see. #lynyrdskynyrd #music #fyp

When your from the South, playing a song with Skynyrd is like preaching a revival with Jesus
Not actually Lynyrd Skynyrd...
Excuse me. I apologize. I didn't see Gary up there at first.Sorry. Much respect for Johnny and Ricky but when Gary is gone... ? I'm from Jacksonville. My heart is sad and torn. I want them to go on ...I want them to stop. It's kinda sad.
@@troygunter2848Skynards will never disapear 😁
Some of us up North feel the same !
@@kelseydelrio8636 it ain't a region thang it's a Skynyrd thang. Much respect
the young man to carry the torch to the next generation.....Marcus King....
Agreed.
This!
Marcus was a lucky man indeed to trade off licks with legendary Gary Rossington ,
There it is ladies and gentlemen , there is still young and incredible talent coming out with mind blowing music . Marcus King is the real deal.
Marcus is the next generation, the future . When Skynyrd is gone Marcus will hit his prime and carry the blues and southern rock on for 30 more years or so.
The smile never left Marcus's face ! He knew he just got to realize his dream , and jam with his hero's . F'n Awesome !
Hell yeah!
Marcus King is so good. He can play anything. Blues, metal, or Southern Rock
I spent my teenage years not playstationing but in front of my record player jamming to One more from the road…..for hours and hours……what a record!!!!!
Yep 77-78when the bro came out of music millennium ptown503 with OMFTR (on vinyl) he had a big ol southern grin I knew I was in for something special.. I recommend headphones to anyone who's never done so with that album! talk about ear candy, the whole show epic outstanding performance best live album ever especially t for Texas jam session and freebird stellar!!!
Me too brother. Turned me into a good drummer. Made a lot of money.
Right on brother , 7 days a week 🥁😎👊🏼
I’m 19 and I listen to it now! On vinyl
@@RB-np5mg Awesome! You've got good taste, young fella! Keep on rockin' with the good stuff!
I’m a massive Skynyrd fan and really don’t like hearing the songs played differently, but this fucking kid played those harmony parts in such a creative way. He really found an honest way to play it from his own heart. Also, he’s got huge balls for playing those harmonies with Gary looking right at him and smiling. Well done kid, swing for that fence.
If Marcus ever comes through your town i beg you to go see him even for a 70 mile drive. well worth it.
I waited yrs for them to come to Melbourne Australia. So amazing
70 miles. That's one helluva big town. 🙂
Gary Rossington Always Loved, Never Forgotten, Forever missed ❤❤
Amen!
One of my favorites!
even with all his much deserved success, Marcus looked as though he was so grateful to be playing and trading licks with the great Gary Rossington! He just kept looking over at Gary like he was the only one on that stage with him. What a memory for that young man
@@tomnorris4339 Marcus showed such respect and admiration for Gary
@@ratter531He did indeed,Much Respect.
They were on fire for this one! Reminded me of the old Skynyrd.
Not even close. Sorry..
Daymn son sing it!
I was blessed to be at the very Volunteer Jam when Skynyrd found out how much we loved them. It was their first public appearance since that terrible day. I was a fan before and have been a fan all my life. The body of work that the original band created changed the direction of southern boogie music. The sheer work ethic and stick to it attitude of this band is more than enough to earn the listeners respect.
Marcus is an old soul in a young body. If he was back in the 70’s he would have been fronting band like this. With his guitar skills and vocals he definitely fit right in. Lucky for us that we got him for the future to keep it going. I noticed that he had been playing with some of the older artists. They recognize and appreciate his talent.
MARCUS PUTS ME IN MIND OF ED KING AWSOME🤠
Was thinking that too.
Looks like fun concert awesome
Just saw Marcus a few weeks ago finally live for the first time, and watching this today is giving me chills, Marcus doing that solo looking at Gary, knowing Gary is in Heaven now is overwhelming to me.

[ De Paris] J'ai eu la chance de voir Lynyrd Skynyrd sur sa tournée 1991. J'ai vu déjà 3 fois Marcus. Je ne les ai jamais vus ensemble. Merci CZcams. Du Ryman en plus. Respect.
Wow! Marcus really got the harmonizen going with Johnny.
Wow Marcus king
What a great musician Marcus King is !
He is a great fit with Skynyrd while bringing his own similar but didferent vibe !
Marcus King is one of the best Blues guitar players to come about in years. I caught him at a WTMD outdoor concert in Baltimore about 3 or 4 years ago. He completely floored me, and I've been a fan ever since.
So good🤘
Marcus like a kid in a candy store...

Jonnie sounds great on this song. Marcus is a revelation! Imagine if he and Steve Gaines and Ed King could all be there, jamming with Gary and Allen, Leon, Billy, and Ronnie!

Ladies and Gentlemen, that ain't LS.
That's a cash cow, nothing more.
1977 was a long time ago.
Marcus kills, as usual. The bestest.
Marcus ripping on that Thunderbird. Medlock still full of himself.
They really missed a good opportunity to let Marcus king break one off at the end. He was waiting for it. 😂😂
this has been my favorite skynrd track since I first heard it 30+ years ago. I appreciate that there are only a few surviving members of note. we have all seen new members try to "keep being" skynrd. At some point it's just a tribute band. This is that point. Let's be real. Skynrd has been a tribute band decades longer than they were a real band. Any tracks you would rate higher than the OG? of course not. and if you did you're probably a trumper divorced from reality. 10:1 you'd lose a bet with ronnie on that.
There are no surviviing members
@bankerlies6121 Leslie Hawkins, Artemis Pyle and Rickey Medlocke are still alive.
They weren't originally first band members at all.
Awesome. Where's artimus
He looks like Ed !!! I had to look him up online to see if he was Ed's son!
I thought the same thing. Either son or even grandson. I'm disappointed to find out he's neither.
Marcus is Ed King reincarnated 😊😊😊😊
Man I miss Gary.
Marcus looks like an eight-year-old up there. It is so crazy.😂
I guess that's Ed kings son, looks just like him. I like.
Sovereign
Oops skyward not Ronnie!!!!
Rick just got replaced
Is Marcus related to Ed King?
Marcus has got to somehow be related to Ed King
Ed King so underated😢
Pretty good but he can't sing better than Ronnie and Johnny
At least the kid is trying but Ronnie would roll over in his grave 🙏🙏
O shut up rvz would love this take on SNS
Nice. @ formalguy01 - if you can post "Call Me The Breeze", I'd appreciate it. The cameraman walked right past me filming. Doesn't mean I"m in the shot but would should like to see. :)
I'm the old guy with white hair, big beard wearing the black Skynyrd shirt... :)
who is the drummer here?
