- Lynyrd Skynyrd performed a concert at Ryman Auditorium in 2022 for PBS. It was the final concert to ever be taped and recorded featuring Gary Rossington. They brought out a bunch of guest performers throughout the show, including Jelly Roll. This is my personal favorite song that Skynyrd ever wrote, and let me tell ya something, at the end, when Jelly Roll was bowing down to Gary, and just smiling and embracing Gary, it genuinely brought a tear to my eye. Gary is my idol, the guy that got me to pick up a guitar and start playing, and I'm so grateful that they recorded this show, and gave us one last time seeing Gary absolutely shred that beautiful Les Paul. #lynyrdskynyrd #music #fyp

God does not tolerate sin, he hates it, he will not allow you to have eternal life in heaven, living that way.
Jelly Roll is Phenomenal. I just love this Song and what it stands for. Lynyrd Skynyrd is One of my favorite Southern Rock Bands of all time.

I saw the original band when I was 17 at Soldier Field in 1977, at the Superbowl of Rock. Johnny might have been there, but it was his older brother Ronnie, singing at that time. Ted Nugent was the main attraction at that one, but Skynyrd rocked! 38 Special, Journey and Reo Speedwagon were there too.
My first concert, PARIS, OUTLAWS, LEONARD SKINNERED, SPELL CHECK, AT WINTERLAND, circa 75.
I remember it well hitchhiked from Hammond Indiana over to the city for a wild party at soldier Field Ronnie's leg was broke he said I bet you think I'm a hillbilly cuz I'm barefooted the crowd chance noo Ronnie said but it's hot Chicago and it was very 🔥 he said but by the time we leave here it's going to be smokin 💯🥵 and when the girl gave him a rose on stage he said what song is that you want to hear lil mama and she said Free bird with her voice tremblin and Ronnie said fuck it we played it pretty for Atlanta we'll play it pretty for Chicago and everybody went ape shit good times good dope good people good music shout out to my connect at wampum lake connect at wampum lake 💯‼️💯‼️❌❌

Never heard of the guy Jelly Roll, l almost scrolled by, but hey that guy can sing wow he can sing.. What also held this for me is Gary, his playing remains true Skynyryd in feel and sound. Now passed I will always miss his awesome guitar presence. For me Skynyrd finally passed with Gary, but the legacy, and the music will remain for all to enjoy.
Glad this was posted to see. Last dance for Gary as on March 5. Rossington, the last original member of the band who was 71 at the time, played his final gig on November 22, 2022, at Ryman Auditorium, Nashville.

It makes me so sad to see Gary lookin so frail but he was doing what he loved. I think he has always been underrated guitar player & people who try to play like Gary really can't duplicate his sound. He was always doing some weird trick to make his guitar sound different & playing slide as well with his Coricidin cold medicine neck that he learned from Duane Allman. I miss him so much. Definitely end of an Era, the Last Rebel & my Prince Charming was the last to fall. It is strange feeling
