Oh my god you actually got me, I got through 3 minutes before realizing.
How it got me:
- was not thinking about the date
- was not looking all that closely at the thumbnail, just thought "oh sweet an operations room video" and clicked without looking or reading anything
- was open-minded enough to think "ah when they get into the video it'll probably jog my memory as to which operation this is"
- was not watching too closely, mostly listening while making wifey's breakfast.
- I must have been 14 or 15 when I last saw that movie and I was not paying much attention to the plot or opening scenes.
What got my attention
- hearing "Freedom" I actually chuckled and said "Freedom!" to myself in the manner of the Team America theme
- hearing they were going into France without alerting the French, I thought, jeez that's pretty wild, think I would remember hearing about that, I look at the screen and see a red chopper with a light bar crossing the Atlantic and have my "omfg" moment of realization 🤦
