I drew that tag in 2017 and hunted the same unit. I hunted the same mountain but on the north side. Shot my bull the first hour he scored 356 after deductions. I live in that unit and it’s only about 30min from my house. My son had a late bull tag in there last year but could only hunt weekends because football, he shot a 5 point, but his first bull..

The size of those quarters, backstrap, and tenderloin was impressive. Well done, well earned. Beautiful, respectful, joyful hunt.

I met Randy last December waiting in line in the Bozeman post office and swapped hunting stories. Great guy and another awesome video. Great to see the camaraderie among this group of guys coming together to help an old friend on his hunt. Congrats to Scotty and the entire team not only on the great bull but on demonstrating what hunting is all about beyond the harvest. Randy continues to set the standard for hunting. All the best.
Congrats Scotty, what I really like your videos is you make it as natural as possible. As a life long elk hunter myself, I enjoy watching all of what you feature in your videos. The scouting, the conversations at camp and the raw emotion after the success and the defeats. I look forward to elk camp every year and this is the best way to get the juices flowing. Getting my first western hunting rifle after moving to Colorado, going with the .270. This video made me even more excited to get started out here!
Those jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon are outstanding if you smoke them first. Core the jalapeno, wrap in bacon, place in smoker for 1 hour at about 275 degrees, then stuff with a mixture of cream cheese and browned breakfast sausage (1 brick cream cheese, 1 lb sausage for around 20 medium sized jalapenos). 😉

Imagine being a first-timer in those woods. Like someone who just decided to go backpack-camping, not having much idea of anything, and waking up to that cacophony. Imagine laying in bed, in the dark, hearing that sound around you, and then all of a sudden what sounds like a , "GD SamSQUATCH!" running from a dinosaur in the woods behind you. In other news, that's a super nice bull. What an amazing experience that must've been for Scotty!

I hunted 6 years in Colorado and never saw a bull even half of that bulls size. Congratulations to all!! What a bucket list bull!! Amazing footage and my compliments to all! Great view outside of your office, am very jealous!
Colorado has monster bulls as well, but it’s the same type of zones extremely limited access so very few ever get to hunt those areas.
