- After a few days of successful Caribou hunting, Randy is gifted a Yukon Moose tag from the outfitter Dustin Roe. The boys prepare everything to hit it hard for a couple of days of moose hunting. After getting his grouse fix out of the way, Randy makes the most of his few days to moose hunt!

That is very kind. I learned to smile from my Grandmas. They always coached me that I had a lot to smile about. And, when in doubt, smile - it makes other people smile. So, I'm usually in doubt, and thus I smile a lot.

Hey Randy, this is the old Montana cowboy, Frank from Livingston, MT. Back in the late 1970's & up to 1989, I lived & worked in Dawson Creek,B.C. & Fort Nelson,B.C. I ended up working for the B.C. Fish & Game as the subsistance hunter for the Northeast quadrant of the Province of British Columbia. I was charged with taking moose for people who were on Social Insurance, ( ie Welfare) for those folks who were unable to get out & hunt for moose due to any number of circumstances including those folks who were disabled. What a satisfying job that was. One of my favorite employments of my entire life!!!.... Randy, I hope that you & Markus & the entire crew had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. Yes Randy, I have questioned myself many times as to why I moved back to the States when I did. I really miss living in B.C. Although, I really enjoy the beauty of Montana.
If you happen to listen to Elk Talk with Randy and Corey Jacobsen they talk about this adventure. One of the best podcasts episodes with this video really captures the experience Randy has been looking for. But there's more to this than that; acts of kindness and a lifetime goal for Randy-a Yukon moose, something Randy has saved $200 a month for since the early 90's it what makes this relatable to so many of us. What's even more impressive is that the outfitter gave the moose tag to Randy, just for being Randy in so many ways in spreading the conservation message and getting people excited in hunting and the message and responsibility we need to make contagious.
I listened to the podcast before I watched these verifies and it was hilarious seeing how the “nest” in the back was actually set vs listening to them describe it 😂

Congrats on the moose I seem to have picked up a case of moose fever after my first hunt in 2022 and now I think it's dam near incurable.
Yup, there is no cure for that disease. More moose hunts are known to lessen the affliction for short periods.
@@Fresh_Tracks Tried going to Newfoundland this October for a second chance but it was a total bust. I told myself I would take a year off and maybe go elk hunting in Colorado. I made it about 30 minutes scouting on Google earth and I found I was looking at southeast Alaska.
Congrats to Randy, the Fresh Tracks team and the guide! I live in Ky and was fortunate to hunt and kill my first mule deer in Montana last season and a big part of that is because of your mule deer hunting content! I’ve said it before, your content and the Elk101 guys are the absolute best! I hunt everything except whitetail deer, vicariously thru your videos! Excellent video and way to go!!!

Love how your show doesn't push long range shooting and for proving you don't need magnum cannons even for large game.
I get called a few names for my conservative approach to things, but it was how I was taught. The pleasure of hunting is closing the distance. And as grandpa said, "Beware the man who hunts with a favorite rifle; he likely knows how to use it."
