AAP should hand over the entire CCTv footage to the police. Why are they trying this case in press? Imagine if this had happened anywhere else, Barkha would have been the first one to say arrest first, inquiry latter.

Ashwini Shahi should stop coming to these debates. He is neither articulate nor able to figure out fixed matches between Barka and some of the other guests. This is an internal matter of AAP and not sure why Aswhini is not able to point out that simple fact and question why she talks about other incidents while discussing this issue. The facts of the case are yet fuzzy but I would not put it past Modi-Shah to stoop to any level. Recall how they tried to frame Jignesh Mevani of trying to assault a police-woman when he was in custody. And the court dismissed the case as devoid of any merit.

Been following Barkha for a long time now. But it seems that She is one of those "journalists" who is more interested in platforming voices from both sides without any regard to what the facts and reality is. Let's understand some facts. The top leadership of the AAP are in jail. Their principal opponents are the BJP. The charges against Bibhav is under 308 and 354 IPC. The videos are in stark contrast to the narrated incident in the FIR. The Delhi police didn't confiscate the CCTV when they went the next dat to re-create the crime scene and 2 hours later, swati maliwal tweets tagging the Delhi police that CCTv is being fabricated. Her medical report is out. There are allegedly injuries. We don't know whether they are defensive injuries or not. Either way the BJP has capitalised on it, at the expense of remaining the voter of their own miserable track record of women safety. Maliwal is an influential, ambitious woman with power and a deep and close knowledge of the legal system involving the misuse of the sexual crimes. Common sense would dictate that in this situation one remains a bit skeptical, unlike any other instance of sexual crimes.
I got hurt on my head recently.... that night I fed my animals and slept peacefully. Next morning my head was swollen like a pumpkin. And it only got worst in the next few days. I am not very inclined to believe SM. She is used to sensationalism, but just because she walked out properly doesn't mean she wasn't hurt.

In my view, AAP/Sanjay Singh might have made the statement initially (that Bibhav Kumar “misbehaved” with Swathi Malival) in order NOT to exacerbate the issue in an election season, knowing well that she was not assaulted at CM's residence. They might have thought that Malival wouldn't further precipitate the issue, especially because Malival returned from the Police Station without lodging any complaint. Later, when she filed an FIR making serious (unbelievable, according to me) allegations, they have no choice but to counter it with facts.
