- This video will teach you How To Fight Multiple Attackers using a combined system of MMA and very brutal self-defense techniques… for the next videos visit: howtofightnow.com/how-to-fight.... If you watch this video and pick up the techniques, your fights will end quickly, and you will look like a superhero in front of your friends... or whoever is watching. Watch the video, pick up a few moves, and then we will go deeper into the strategy.
The rest of this crap is just for the sake of having keywords in my description box:
Fighting multiple opponents will never be easy. The fights will be fast paced, and exhausting. The trick is having the best techniques to eliminate opponents quickly, so you can finally end up in a one-on-one. Comparatively, that's a lot easier to deal with.
The secret to beating multiple attackers in a fight is POSITIONING. If you don't focus on your relationship to your opponents, they will be able to sucker punch you in the side of the head. That is the absolute fastest way to lose a fight and get stomped on.
We start this video by introducing the Muay Thai clinch, which is in my opinion the best way to defend yourself against multiple attackers. Watch this video and you will see why.
howtofightnow.com I have a HUGE pile off MMA technique videos which can be found free at How To Fight Now .com - The Fight Smart Training Program.
Lot's of people want to learn how to fight, but they have no idea where to look. You can find a lot of street fighting videos on CZcams, and a lot of videos titled "how to win a street fight", but most of them are crap. I personally don't want to learn from some dude punching a couch cushion in his back-yard, with his twitchy girlfriend holding his IPhone camera... but that's just me.
I created the fight smart training program to teach people how to fight with REAL TECHNIQUES that work... I gathered them in my career as a professional fighter. If these techniques work in the cage, they will certainly work in a street fight. A lot of times, I had these moves used against me... and it hurt.
I don't care what your purposes are: self-defense, a personal quest, or just to be a more powerful bully... it doesn't matter. My job is to provide you with the realest fighting moves out there, and to teach you how to fight and win every time. Be sure to check out my website... I have far more video on howtofightnow.com than I have in my CZcams channel.... and they're free.... because I'm cool like that.
Check out the website and good luck learning how to punch, how to kick, how to do Jiu Jitsu, how to do Muay Thai kickboxing, and how to do any of the other Keywords that I'm trying to target by writing this channel description.

Legally carrying a concealed firearm that holds at least 15 rounds is the most effective self-defense tool you can use to defeat multiple attackers.
Ayandolos Nope. Google "Situational Awareness," it's the most important self-defense tool a person can hone. The only person that would ever be in a situation to "sucker-punch" me would be someone I trusted dearly (my wife, my best friend, etc.) Otherwise, my situational awareness out in public is always on high alert, especially when in close proximity to strangers.
TANK SHERMAN well said!!! I like that response

Gun jams don't happen like they do in the movies. The take 2 seconds to clear.
TANK SHERMAN whats happens if you get sucker punched then your weapon becomes theirs?

Im getting bullied and i have a second round tomorrow. I punched the "boss" in the geng and now they are coming back with around 14 people

My best strat is to not piss of a group of people into attacking me
+Master Splinter right lol ppl dont think at all when they comment on youtube vidoes ha
+12x12surface If you were out with a girlfriend you can't just leave her and run away.
You can try to make some king fu moves you’ve seen in movies and start dancing for like an hour till they leave
Happened to me beacause my friend pissed them off
I’m in 7th grade and a kid bumped into me in gym class so after gym he got 2 of his friends to go beat me up.
*We don't usually discuss martial arts, but this strategy is an outstanding way to keep yourself safe*
Guns wouldn't hurt either ;-)
FightSmartTrav dude can u post more often? btw i live in PA wanna train?
Gun Runnerz i concur but when the guy that is clinched hugs ya and then tries to pin u down or ect? Thats trouble. I dont think real street fights would be like this. But The heel & knee strikes are very effective
@@jimmyherrera5164 ya wanna see real street fight with multiple opponent? Go type a prison fight when 2 guys attack 1 inmates and from there ya gonna know what real fight looks like
No it really isnt
fortunately, in a real street-fight everybody is smiling as in a sparring with friends and not being hyper-aggressive and rather freakish...
Lol
EXACTLY!!👍
I got jumped by 20 guy layed 3 of them out with this the rest ran away
I got 20 peole coming to. Jump. Me what do. I do
Evak Ceqsy Stay calm, focus on one opponent at a time. Try to take the biggest one down then the other ones are scared
@@yt_channel2943 shall I just knock the biggest one clean out
Evak Ceqsy yes
@@yt_channel2943 OK thank you for letting me know what was the highest number of people u came against
Great advice- a lot of these fundamentals are taught in military, specifically for melee combat using a rifle/bayonet.
He didn't mention this in the video, but I think it's because this is common knowledge among self-defense communities: If you have a situation that could become 2 on 1, *running is your best option.* But knowing and practicing the techniques in the video is still important, because running might not be an option; or you can use some of these techniques to create an opening to flee.
I wish I could sign up for this guy's classes

I Love your video's.
Thankyou
RKO is still more effective lol.
I concur
True true

If you give an RKO on roads may be you get at least 8 stitches on your head
Rko hurts both of you
Thank you so so much I'm soon doing my red belt grading (the way to advance to a red belt) and I'm fighting 3 people alone. This has really helped a lot. Also I found out, that if an opponent tries to lean in for a punch get on the ground and sweep their leg then do combos whilst their on the ground.
Thank you Travis for all you do! Your a incredible teacher that brings inthosiasm and humor to your classes and truly makes then enjoyable and informative!
You kick ass!
100% agree Trav, all of this stuff works. Ive used it before in real fights.
Paul Vunak created something he calls the "RAT", rapid assault tactics, that utilizes the Thai clinch, elbows/knees and headbutts as a finisher. While RAT isn't perfect, its simple, ugly, and brutally aggressive....just like my pre-morning coffee voice.
Thankyou fight smart for taking the time to do these videos for us
Excellent strategy vs. multiple aggressors. We need more such instruction vs. criminals whose cowardice precludes them from one-on-on. Thanks, Travis.
You're fucked already if you find yourself surrounded by 2 or 3 people. All the techniques here demonstrate how to be ethical with your fighting but a true street fight is brutal no holds barred simply because you do not know how far your attackers are willing to hurt you. Even to the point of killing you. You don't want to score points with good looking hits like knees or clinches or punches. Every action you do should be to maim, injure or disable the attacker as quickly as possible. Gouge, scratch, bite, stab or break something on your attackers. Hopefully you'll convince the attackers you're a crazy mofo and they'd rather not mess with you anymore.
Man i was in a fight against like 8-10 guys but most of they were drunk. What i have done? Just guard and punching every one in front of me. The other were hitting me in the back with chairs (thankfully plastic) or in the head. I took out two maybe, there was blood on the asphalt. All develops lighting fast and this clinch bullshit will get you beaten for sure. Your hands should be free to defend yourself and to keep fighting. The moment you grab one of the crowd, the others will smash your face. And you have to stay on your feet. Dont try to kick, you will get unstable and they will push you on the ground. If you fall on the ground its game over, their kicks are much stronger than the punches and you will not get up again. All this is experienced, not gym/mma bullshit.
And one important tip: Never start a fight, do everything possible to avoid it. One of the crowd WILL HAVE knife.
....then you woke up
Tarek Ahmed I don`t live in first world country :)
Good tips my boy !!!
David Alcrow What is bullshit? My own life experience? If you say so ...
I was really very lucky because they were drunk as shit and nobody took stone or brick. They used plastic chairs, they were so light i didn`t feel them at all.
+kiba BG Finally someone who actually makes some sense. ive clinched in 2 fights and had my ass handed to me because of it.
I practice Karate about 6 years ... and i still need youre Techniques Brother ! Yor're the BEST
Nice work Trav, you're entertaining and you know your stuff thanks.
If i was the friend trying to reach for that punch i would just tackle both my friend and the guy down LOL

You make awesome videos, keep it up man
You are amazing and I love you. You have such a great attitude for a fighter, somehow noble, fair, yet ruthless and strong.
You obviously care a lot about people/life, and that is admirable. I wish more people (fighters) were like you.
You also have great technique and advice. Thanks for everything bro x
What if my opponents are serious about hurting me? What do I do then?
+Sabata Moffet Monnane run forest run. i just watched it
+Sabata Moffet Monnane Try to get into a doorway. Only 1 person can fit, so it will be a one on one fight, just that they take turns to get knocked out
The Joker at a park or in a street look for a doorway . its funny to picture 😂 but good advise
Sing like Michael Bolton and they’ll stop.
What if the guy you clinch grabs your knee?
이치고 try kicking his legs rather than the body with shin bone blows , this will definitely make him immovable.
Its not easy to grab someone's knee if he throws it hard, and if he does it would land either on his hand or his body which hurts. If that happens, balance yourself with one of your hands and elbow him in the face or the top of the head with the other. This will cause him to free your knee in order to protect his head and there you go, you are back in control.
I am happy that people liking your videos creates a feeling of satisfaction within your self.
So glad I found this channel.
Wish me luck tomorrow, I'm a trained fighter but I might be up again 4+ people. Studying hard tonight..
I know iam late how did it go ?I think i might go to 3 v 1 fight cause im returning to school and bully shitalked me so i shittalked him back.
Great minds think alike, but i appreciate that you confirmed it. :>
Great and hard work . thanks so much 😀😀
so useful.. thanks mate.
Ok I'm not being stereotypical it's just more common but you know when girls getting in a fight they're other friends jump in how the heck to u protect yourself in that
You know how they can be petty and get u when you're down
I'm just trying get all this cuz I'm being bullied n things might escalate then her friends might jump in cuz they seem like that person SOOO I just need to know as soon as possible please
Their** not they're
SaltyToad bite the hell out one of them and the other ones will be intimidated
Damn, did they at least have to decency to oil up first?
This is GENIUS!
Nice work bro.. Thanks
Very good information and very well explained!! Thank you!!!
Never mind the guy in the clinch going for your balls - how about a demo where they're *actively* trying to get out of your clinch, fight back, or drive forward for a takedown? The guy in the clinch here just stood there and took it. In a real fight it's freaking hard to keep a clinch going.
I love your vids but this one has me wondering about how applicable this is - especially if the fighter isn't as big as you are.
Aiphiae they might be shocked by the knees
So true. Even if its not the balls they can grab your knee or roll into it, they have support from a friend they walk backwards and friend has free reign. Plot holes.
The key is to be unpredictable. You have a dominant, controlling position, you need to control the attacker. Getting pulled around by the clinch is extremely disorienting, especially if you're being pulled into knees. A knee doesn't have to go to the head to take you out. A knee to the abdomen or the chest can cause serious damage and knock out your air supply and limit your capability. If you're worried about your attacker trying to take down, try and learn a sprawl technique. You've already got your forearms clinched around his neck like a nutcracker, using those forearms and your weight to drop on a shooting takedown can lead to a knockout by concrete. If your attacker tries to grab your legs, you need to be vigorous and extend the grabbed leg and try and push your opponent away with your forearms. This can work into the push/pull reaction counter and you can follow up by pulling your opponent into a knee.
Jacob Wiles-Ortega intelligent response. Unpredictable all the same. And although you may try to limit your circumstances, still the result is unprecedented. I still find in favor of the numbers. If its 2 v1 with that strategy in theory you have a chance. Slim all the same. Unless youre kickass or someshit some kinda trained fighter etc, ods are against you. You dont know who is skilled out there, so they (the attackers) have the same chances of beinf relatively skilled fighters. If they know even slightly What they are doing one needs to observe and respond just as the subaggresser has tried to defend themselves unless that adrenalene kicks in your odds in that are still 1 in 3 i dont play with those odds unless i intend to lose. Just saying for the sake of arguement
Christopher Nwogu I agree with your points. You never know what your attacker may know, and gambling with your life isn't really a good idea. I've had quite a bit of training previously but it's been a while, but if it fell down to it I could maybe handle my own one on one, but only if I really had to. But if things went down, these tactics shown can be good to better your odds.
last month in east village mahatton i saw a street fight involving bunch of people attacking one person. they surrounded him and kicked him while hes down and when he got up one of attacker returned and hit him with a bicycle lock..dude got knocked out unconscientious.. .i just dont think street fight can be placed in any preconceived scenario for anyone to react. i'd say the best way is to pack a gun... btw dude was accused of swearing to a disable person
holla vince Now that guy is disabled.
Thanks for this idea
Dude your videos are so informative
Thanks Trav for another great video. When I use to do self defense classes (half Muay Thai ring set up, half designed for the street) our instructor couldn't stress enough how important our footwork was and to always try line your opponents up with one behind the other. I will now take this into consideration to add to it. Cheers!
What if the guy in the clinch hits you in the balls?
Knee the living FUCK out of him
He shouldn't be able to reach
DarthRambo lol
Complete Fidelity And why is that? Everything depends on your height and arm lenght... Also if you're lucky you can even jam your fingers in the guy's eye...
ChuppaChuck Emphasis on *shouldn't*
Wow it works thanks for the help!!!
great stuff!
Looks good. Except wouldn't the guy in the clinch just punch you furiously in the balls? Professional fighters aren't allowed to do this- hence why the Thai clinch works so well in the ring......would appreciate your thoughts on this Trav- love the vids :)
Then hit him quickly, before he figures that out. Speed and power is key. Give them no time to react.
A nice stream of brutal knees usually stops people from reaching for anything. However, your forearms will stop the guy from really rotating his torso to reach, and if he DOES reach his arm out enough, you can just pop your hips back with a little hop of your feet, and bounce off of that movement with a very powerful knee. I have some footage of at attempted nut grab in action and how to deal with it in the full program on the website!
i already was in this situation and like Kinos141 said, hit him quickly but in the nuts as soon he grab your head/backhead and the one clinching you will step back letting you to down a little your head and get free, the faster one will have the upper hand in this clinch situation, also if you can quickly gain access to his thumbs in your head, you can have total control of his hands and luckily the whole arm, Krav-Maga style
"train my balls to fight back" that made me crack up
Anyone else thinks he sounds like that top 5 guy?
Thanks for the clinching info,Trav
You really help with this short lessons! Thanks
this one guy wanted to fight me and i did a RKO on him lol

what happened next ?? :D

then he wake up
what if i help the guy u captured?
Did you not watch the video?
Great video, We need the next three soon. :)
Awesome techniques!
I assume if you're being attacked by multiple feral animals they aren't exactly going to be fair. Any sort of grapple van result in damage to soft targets like the eyes and groin. The solution to this is train with a firearm. Successful humans have always relied on tools, fighting should be a backup. Don't let your training slip up, but don't rely on it solely.
Not everybody lives in the US you know..
I'm not living in America right now, and I carry knives not living in America is not an excuse for not being armed.
Always loved your videos Trav but I've got mixed feelings about this one. The clinch is nice for a one on one but when you're also concerned about the second guy what makes you think that the first one won't grab your balls and crush them? I mean that's the first thing I would do if I'm trapped in a clinch..a good hard punch in the family jewels.
Yep. Solid JKD tactic. Why not finger jab the first and then the second one? Or as bruce taught it, longest weapon nearest target. Side kick to the knee, injuring or breaking it, but that could lead to legal problems and maybe you don't want to cripple someone. Groin kicks obviously work very well. All you need is a little snap and any guy will succumb to the pain. Close the gap with a groin kick, sidekick or hook kick and regardless of whether it hits follow it up with a finger jab or lead punch. High/low combinations work very well and are one of my favourites. My favourite being fainting high or low followed by the opposite kick or punch/finger jab.
nothing is absolute. But this is one of your best options given the scenario.
Unless, of course, you feel threatened enough to use lethal force. In which case, you can almost immediately incapacitate the first person in the clinch and deal with the next.
Multiple people vs 1 is never ideal and lots of things can go wrong.
Whammer79 Read again..I can see it work with one guy but when you're trying to avoid punches from the second dude there's a short lapse where it's hard to keep kneeing the one you're holding and that's where there's a chance to get your nuts punched into oblivion. There are no rules in a street fight..I've been kneed in the face one time (still have a crooked nose because of it) and with the adrenaline you may be in shock for a couple of seconds but it doesn't hurt that much. You don't need training to have a survival instinct. My advice for more than one? Kick or punch the first one really hard and gtfo.
Whammer79 Look, I hate those internet arguments and the keyboard warriors that come with it too. But the video isn't about Trav defending himself..it's about the average Joe against multiple danger..and that's why I have mixed feelings about it. I can't really put a number on it, but you won't feel confident against at least two dudes after trying these techniques in your garage with a couple of friends.I like Trav but for the first time I thought it was irresponsible. I don't know if you're living in the US, but I don't and in this part of the world people carry knives, brass knuckles and all sorts of other shit..
Whammer79 What if the grab fails? then what? Best course of action is to run, but when left with no choice the only two tried and true immediately incapacitating moves are a poke in the eye and/or a kick in the nuts. Those techniques are as simple and straight forward as simple and straight forward comes. Side kick to the knee is the theoretically more efficient move if you take longest weapon nearest target into account, but it can fail if you're not trained and/or flexible enough to hit it properly.
Awesomr man...big fan...luv u...stay strong...
Awesome. Thanks
Guys, what is a good martial art for beginners? I've never done any fighting sports but I want to be able to defend myself if someone attacks me on the streets.
Muay thai? Jiu jitsu? Karate? Judo? I'm a bit lost..
What is your goal? To get fit? To learn how to defend yourself from bullies? Karate isnt very effective in street fighting situations, jiujitsu won't help you much if you're getting jumped on by multiple attackers, muay thai is really really violent and their practices aren't easy to widthstand. Also what do you like most? Grappling fighting styles or punching styles? if you like more punching and kicking you can go for boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, or even taekwondo. if you preffer grabs and locks, then you might preffer Jiu jitsu or judo. I personally like kick boxing a lot, it's a very "safe" martial art, as you can stay far from your oponent and still do major damage with those leg kicks, i also like jiu jitsu a lot because it prevents a lot of weapon attacks like sticks and knives with some wrist and anckle locks as well as arm bars.
LichCrow Be able to defend myself from bullies, become a bit stronger physically and stronger mentally.
Then i'd say jiu jitsu, by the way how old are you?
LichCrow 20
Ok, but I heard it's not a good thing to go to the ground in a street fight, is it true?
It is, but in a playground situation there isn't any broken glass on the floor and most likely it will be a 1 v 1 situation. also jiu jitsu teaches you to defend yourself, not to attack which is imo what you need the most.
I may or may not have caused some bs with my ex's bf so these techniques will definitely be helpful she ends forcing me to meet him 😂

Nice vids man
Hey! Stop picking on the black kid!

he could pick you up and slam you.
Exactly what I was thinking just go straight for the take down. Then you are fucked multiple attackers stamping on your head.
People that know wtf they're doin will sprawl the takedown
Your awesome man!
Amazing video! iv been a fan of ur channel for about 6 months now a buddy of mine turned me on to ur videos first one he showed me was the effect of head/ feet movement. you were on the street and let people try and punch you as you used good foot work and good head movement to avoid the attack. Every video iv seen since has been just as good. Iv train in some form of martial arts from the age of 5 and for the past 3 years or so iv trained mma in san jose out of American kickboxing Academy. Just wanted to drop a comment and let you know all the advice and instructions you share is extremely helpful thank you for your work. Keep them coming my dude!
