old man's desire, it removed the ring.
could it be..... divorce?!
Ioseph Stalin I thought it kind of looked like a cutaway picture of a vagina...
I got my sweet pea this gift, I am already at the plane.
What if the girl is married to another girl or if you gave it to a guy that is married to a guy?
CodedGoat ;3 xx
Ioseph Stalin
I had a similar thought. For an old man to sate his desire he may need to take his ring off for a while.
Maybe it's called 'Old Man's Desire' because you're removing the ring (like a wedding band) from the ball and 'chain'. (:
It means divorce
According to the comments
That was a great thought!
you under estimate my power of forgetting how to solve puzzles
:D
I find looking at your videos soothing. I have never owned a puzzle but still watch most videos ;)
You should try one doing yourself! :)
Mr.Puzzle I don't have a patience. it would be against the wall in no time
willie wonka, I am also finding this videos enjoyable. I really like puzzles like this and watching them being solved isn't as terrible as I thought it would be. Plus his German accent isn't harsh to the ears. Well, I'm assuming it's German. Sounds close enough to me.
Myster Blakk
that's what saws are for
aren't they?
😆
You should try it!
Just to be sure, I meant puzzling not throwing it against the wall!
Found you on the CZcams sidebar one day last week and decided to watch some of your content and I must say I am enjoying every minute. Thanks for the videos!. Keep it up.
Thanks, that's great feedback!
Still trying to improve. I think it will get even better.
Thanks to you, I have spent my last two months pay buying puzzles and completing them. I appreciate the new hobby! I enjoy your videos much more than FLEB...you are very relaxing
Wow, that's nice! I am happy to hear that my videos gave you the motivation to try it yourself.
What's your favorite puzzle of the ones you tried?
I know FLEB' of course, it's a nice channel, too!
watched the impossible box randomly last week, now I've seen all of them lol
That's something I like to hear! :)
Scared agent11 hahaha kind of my case too
Julien Dery there nice n chill Lol
me too. right now i am watching all your videos
This may be completely unrelated, but I think I know the reason why it's called "Old Man's Desire"
There was this puzzle where you had to slide a ring through a rope from one place to another, and this man had been trying to solve it for 10 years and his biggest desire was to get that puzzle solved.
If the name of this puzzle is a reference to that, then that's truly incredible.
Here's the video for those interested: /watch?v=4gWGlr_fHyw
Two times the same story. It must be right!
Very nice guys, you solved another puzzle! :)
Oh, so it doesn't mean divorce.
Haha. The moment he wondered why it was called old man's desire, that exact same video popped into my head. I must have seen it some time last year. I thought I'd read the comments in case some one else thought the same. Kudos and a thumbs up to you good sir.
I wonder? Could be.
the initial move of the ring with the arm is a wonderful
I don't have very many puzzles and as a result haven't had the opportunity for many solutions, but finding a mechanic like that one brings me a great deal of satisfaction/joy.
Do you find that over the years of puzzling that this experience has changed? Or is it still as satisfying when you unlock the secrets of the puzzle's design?
I think the more time you spend doing this, the more you get a "feeling" what to do.
The interesting thing is that no matter how many puzzles you solve there are always new ideas.
The creativity seems to be endless. :)
I like the way u talk about the puzzle and show people how to do it with control
You made puzzle solving so much fun. I kinda find it annoying before but now I love it.. thank you so much sir!!
easier than the girrafe puzzle
Everything is easy compared to the giraffe!
i checked and i was like wtf.
Superb presentation. I echo what Mr Pugliano says. Your delivery is therapeutic. Thank-you for sharing this.
I have always loved these mechanical puzzles!
I love your videos! Keep up the good work!
This is my favorite one of the puzzles Ive seen you show, cool video.
Thanks!
I have no problem picking Locks, but i think it would take me forever to figure this puzzle out on my own.. I love brain-teasers and puzzles, your channel is my favorite puzzle channel, keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Just try it yourself!
"I have no problem picking locks..."
Here's $20. I have a favor to ask of you.
I suck at puzzles, but I love to watch your videos while in bed and trying to sleep. Kinda helps with my Insomnia.
Keep up the great work.
Haha, is that positive or negative feedback!?
I am not sure. 😂
Mr.Puzzle It's positive of course!😁 I love your videos!
You do a wonderful presentation. Very enjoyable. You are a credit to youtube!
Thanks a lot Mark! Enjoy! 👍
there is a video about an old japanese man who asked a tv show to help him solve a puzzle. He had been struggling with the puzzle for about 25 years. The puzzle looks like that; with rope and ball. Maybe this is why its called old man desire. The maker watched that video and got idea from that.
I remember having a large box of these puzzles that my father gave to us kids to keep us quiet during long car trips. It worked. Ours were mostly made of metal and light chains. This was over 50 years ago!
this puzzle was designed to teach young mobile phone and MP3 player users to untangle their headphones...
It's called Old Man's Desire because it is based off an old man in Japan who spent 10 years on a similar old japanese puzzle toy who had help from a japanese tv show on how to solve the puzzle.
awesome! gonna watch this later! Thank you!
have fun!
Nice explanation. You make it look so easy - well, possible anyway
Very cool puzzle love the soft look of the wood and string very nice great video Mr Puzzle
I think it's called "Old man's desire" because it's shaped like a bladder.
Watching these puzzles get solved is like watching magic tricks. I'm just mind blown every time something impossible looking comes apart.
Wow. That's one of the few puzzles you showed here that seemed a lot easier than it really is
if i had money, I'd give it all to you. you are my favorite CZcamsr. this is the CZcams channel that saved my life. i recommended your videos to all my friends. i platoniclly love you.
Great Video man!
The name of this puzzly raises a few red flags.
I never in a million years would've figured this one out, liked your video!
WOW ! IF I ONLY KNEW IT WAS THAT EASY I WOULDN'T HAVE BLOWN MY BRAINS OUT MONTHS AGO ! THANKS FOR SHARING ! NOW EXCUSE ME WHILE I ROLL OVER IN MY GRAVE !
Indiana jones deals with traps and pressure plates. I would be more interested if he was pulling rings from ropes to unlock doors
😂😂😂😂
amazing
Your videos help me sleep at night thank you
Not sure if this is good or bad feedback! :D
damn i love these vids :)
Hell yes !!! Another video !!!!
Yay!
There will be another one tomorrow.
I suddenly feel really smart, I was completely right about how to solve this on the first try. I've always been really good with untangling and tangling things, but I didn't realize it was puzzle level stuff! if only I was this good at knots.
That's impressive!
It is? I just sorta thought I'd contribute to the comments, I didn't actually think I was that smart. Thank you so much, for both the compliment and replying!
I'm not so good at untangling things, but I have a skill for tangling ear buds :)
After seeing the solution I still didn’t understand it. I thought Mr. Puzzle would rate this one as 5 or at least 4 out of 5... so you must be gifted with “untangling foresight”! ;)
Who comes up with these puzzles? Amazing. Great video and as always, very interesting
ur nice sir thank u
all the best
Nice puzzle.
hey I love your videos continue men Im from quebec (canada) and Im learning english with you ! 😄
There are better ways learning English, believe me! :D
Yliot le monde est petit
Yoda - the quality is very good of this one
fantastic
Awesome vid
I had one of these home-made out of 2 old wire coat-hangers when I was kid. Even though I know the solution it still amazes me.
The guy who designed this puzzle... was a bastard genius engineer!
When you give the spoiler break and say that seeing the solution can't be reversed, well all I have to do is wait a short while and I won't remember it anyway, ha ha.
They prolly call it, "The old man's desire". Because you'll be an old man by the time you figure out the puzzle.
Really this is not different in its topology than the wire chinese puzzle . Must admit that the wood with the moving parts makes it more scaring to look at but once the eyes accommodate the situation the cord can be released. Very nice modification with the moving parts, which are loops really.
i have found that squeezing really hard is a much faster way of removing the ring
I actually got this one right by looking at it
I think it's called Old Man's Desire because he wants to be able to take the ring off after tying the knot...
wedding ring???
amazing puzzle.lik it
Awesome
Nice video cool puzzle
Now the real challenge, putting it back together.
Watch until the end. :)
That was cool. I never would have figured it out.
hey mr. puzzle i am miss fan and you are good at them i also like a cartoon called kindaichi he is also a solving master like you
good job
i just need time with stuff, nothing is hard, nothing is complicated
the old man s most real desire is to be recognised by the human beings as a brother.
or as we cn read , the old man begin to spin then.. blast and finally burst.
im amazed wow
Who comes up with these puzzles?! Solving them is difficult, but coming up with them seems to me even more difficult!
I haven't played the video yet but I already know that I want it because of 'old man's desire'😭
wouldnt back myself to solve this in a year
He turned a 3 minute video Into an 8 minute video
"just a very easy attachment to the frame" riiight. Lol it's scary to think of what your definition of 'difficult' may be. I can barely untie a knot 😂😂
There will for sure be some in the future! :)
I wish I had your puzzle solving skills
Practice and you learn!
Well at least I can solve the 3x3 Rubix cube...
This video is twice as long as it needed to be . I can see the wooden ball you don't need to tell me there is a wooden ball
I hope to see some more Hanayama videos in the future too
got it!
An old man, once young. Found a ball and some laser cut gum. the wood was sharp, sharper than he, and the old man wants most for the ring to be free.
I am bamboozled
would be nice if you added how long in days and total amount of hours you took to solve the puzzles, i am really curious to know how long you took to solve this one for example, nice videos btw keep it up ;D
This one took mr about 20 minutes.
You can in clip the metal ring
Btw, the past tense for cut is still cut. Not cutted.
old man's ball buster...
now this is a puzzle
If you're able to solve that you definitely aren't human.
This is video proof that your a wizard.
Could the name "old mans desire" be in reference to the old Japanese man, who once spent 10 trying to solve a puzzle? The puzzle had similar mechanics to this puzzle, both feature a ring, string, and a ball. The old mans desire was to solve that puzzle!
The small oval on the top looks like the lens of an eyeball. The movable arms might be eyelids. the opening in the bottom might be where the optic nerve comes in. The cornea also seems to be there. Could it be that this old man's desire is to see better?
the lemon party desire
there is actually that one old man who wanted to solve similar puzzle for 10y. it's some Japanese show, just search on CZcams old man solves puzzle after 10 y :)
Golam watching this be like: he stole my precious
oh man so close to solve it
I found the answer within seconds of looking at it!
Great puzzle. I would like to purchase it. But, unfortunately, it is "sold out" in the site. I hope it come back soon.
Erarbeiten gute Arbeit.
Very easy!
For me the way he disentangled the puzzle is much more easier to understand than how to solve the Rubik's Cube.😶
Unbelievable
I like that one
How long does it rake you to complete of these puzzles??
This one about 20 minutes.
Check out the video description.
I put the link there if I find a shop where to buy!
Raking a long of time for me!!
Ich schau die Videos, obwohl ich weiß, dass ich mir nie so ein Puzzle zulegen werde. Und wegen dem netten Englisch mit deutscher Aussprache ;)
As soon as I read that title, that old pervert on Family guy came to mind.
why are your videos so entertaining and relaxing at the same time... i dont get it...
Me neither. But I like that you like it. 😊
