- Grinder & paint make me the welder I aint.
Another weekend another hour in the shop. I blued the disc brake mounting jig I made last week and 3d printed some distance pieces.
Today I fitted the Disc Tabs and welded them. I also added bosses to mount the brakelines to the seat stay.

thank you for the straightforward video
Nice jig
I need a welding machine 😮
Dope! I have been wanting to modify/update some vintage frames. This it super legit!
Muchas gracias por el modelo! Recién termino de imprimirlo y quedo espectacular, te mando un saludo desde la Patagonia Argentina!
Slick!
We need that
Name of the guide please 🙏
nice👍
I also want
Would not advise not replicate it. Disc have significantly more torque forces than rim brakes. I've seen Chromoly Steel tubes caving in after a 100km ride.
Put a brace
Yes, for heavy use I would definitely recommend to add a brace.
How much would this cost ? I don't know how to weld. Thanks
Have you any PDF artwork of that guide?
I am sorry - I dont have a pdf: I used this 3d print as a template: www.thingiverse.com/thing:3574514
Bro where did u get that guide tool I would loke to get one of those I want to do the same thing to my bros bike
The tool is handmade based on this 3d print. www.thingiverse.com/thing:3574514
COULD YOU DESIGN ONE FOR FRONT MOUNT?
Where's the link? Company brand? Product name? ANYTHING?!
What product are you looking for? The tool I built myself - see previous video.
@@JPProeger Oooooh, I see.
Do you happen to have a stencil PDF of it, so that one can print it and try to refabricate it?
unfortunately I only have 3d print data. www.thingiverse.com/thing:3574514 - as i had a few requests for the files, I will prepare a drawing. @@MR-backup
@@JPProegerDoes this also fit old beach cruiser frames?
@@Mowaxos I don´t see a reason, why it should not. You just have to be careful, that your frame can take the loads of braking. In some cases a gusset might make sense.
