All you need to make Almond milk is almonds and water. Salt should be added after the milk is separated from the pulp. It enhances flavor, but mostly acts as a mild preservative. Other flavors or sweeteners should be added at the end to control consistency of flavor. Don't waste good vanilla by having it all absorbed by the pulp.
I make it that way in a blender all the time and then squeeze through a nut bag.
great advice, thank you!
based info bro. thanks
thanks!!
His profile picture does have a suit, yet I am still not sure if I should trust what he says.
You can add the pulp to meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs. It's delicious, moist and tender.
I got an almond cow for a relative for a gift. She now is living with me and I am using her almond cow. I made almond milk for the first time yesterday and it is good. I've been buying oatmilk but when I'm out I will be making that also. The almond milk was so fast and delicious, had it on my granola this morning it's a fantastic machine. No more money spent for inferior milks that have additives I don't want and cheaper to make. Everyone should have one that uses non dairy milk regularly.
Love this video!! It’s clear, easy and a quick watch! Selling me on it with that mango pulp yumminess!!!
Great ideas for leftover pulp woo! No waste!
I've had my almond cow for over a month now and love it! This video provides some very helpful hints on how to use it, thank you!
I checked their website & info in Instagram. I'm going to purchase one. I like the easy use & so many options. We go through through so much almond mild & would love to make my own.
Looks Brilliant!! Thank you for the demonstration.
Can't wait to start making my almond milk. Just got this!!
Excellent video, thank you.
This helped a lot today. Thank you.
I just LOVE MINE 😍😍😍
Thanks for sharing. Im trying this tomorrow ✨️
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Hi, do you ship to Europe as well? I live in Belgium- and if so, does the electricity power cable fits to our system? Thank you!
The “collector cup” does everything lmaoo it’s the hero o💪🏼😁
Where doyou Buy te almond cow un Colombia-south américa? Please answer me. I like so mucho.
I want one!!!! I make cashew and oat milk with my blender but it's such a hassle!
How much wattage does the almond cow use? I would love to grab one for my camping trips!
No soap when washing? Just rinse with hot water..? I am want to buy one.. and am enjoying learning about it!
How would you make the granola in the oven?
Need video do this with oatmeal
Yum
Super helpful video! Thanks! I want to make a thicker milk to make kefir and yogurt from. Is there a way to do that using the Almond Cow?
@@AlmondCow Thank you for the reply! Can you explain what the "creamer method" is? Or is it included in instructions for the Almond Cow? I just ordered mine!
Where do you buy the Almond Cow?
Other nut milk machines heat the ingredients is there a reason why amount cow doesn’t?
Do the almonds have to be presoaked?
I think the hard part is preventing water from getting into the electrical part , thereby rusting out the motor.
Yes, I think that might need a redesign. Make the parts that can't come in contact with water, completely detachable.
Can I make pea milk with this machine?
Can you blend it for more cycles to make creamier milk and less usable pulp?
Looks like a great product however was concerned about cleaning it. The top part has electrical components how are you supposed to wash that with dish detergent?
Okay great thank you!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Can you froth the milk made in the Almond cow for cappuccino?
@@AlmondCow is there a video on this?
So it’s a blender?
What about the flax and/or hemp seed - did you soak them as well? And, if so, for how long?
Hi! How many days last this plant-based milks on the fridge?
2.5 - 3 days if stored in a sterilized glass bottle in the fridge
where did you find the glass jars? thank you
Mason jars from Walmart, Target, grocery store. They also sell the white plastic lid she has on her mason jar.
@@kimward-dazzlenailsdiva477 thank you
I am struggling making creamer that is thick/creamy enough to substitute the grocery store creamers. I've tried making it, but it's just so thin. I've tried the collector cup method, warm water, running it through 2 times and none work. Do you have any suggestions about what I could add to it afterwards to thicken it up? Maybe EVOO, coconut oil, avocado oil, a clean protein powder? Any other thoughts of what to do? The main reason I bought the Almond Cow was to make a healthy creamer and so far I haven't had any good results. I even tried making coconut milk to hopefully skim off the top cream and add that to my creamer that I make, but when I make it the coconut flakes get into the milk and it's not separating. I do plan to make Unsweet Almond Milk but waiting until I'm almost out of my store bought one as I don't use the milk everyday like I do the creamer. Please, please, please I need some help. I have called in and tried what was suggested, as listed above. Btw, I use the leftover pulp to make granola. :)
Thanks for your feedback! You can try adding avocado oil to the top of the ingredients in the filter basket when making milk or you can add 1 tsp sunflower lecithin to the filter basket with the other ingredients. Hope this helps!
The love soy machine is the best.
What do you do with the pulp?
What is the maximum amount of soaked nuts that I can put in the container to make almond milk?
I want to order one of these, but I cannot consume dates. Do you know if monk fruit sweetener can be used instead?
You don’t need to add dates, it’s simply there as a sweetener. Monk fruit works just as sugar does. You don’t have to add anything, it’s delicious on its own.
Kathy W thank you! :) I saw the other replacement as maple syrup so was concerned it added something to the creaminess or so.
jam 168 Happy to help! Not sure if she went over this or not......I usually just watch, not listen...my bad! Anywho, I make mine in a Vitamix, the more water the less “creamy”, so, additions don’t have much to do with the final product other than flavor. Best.
@@kathyw7451 I appreciate all the info! :)I hope to get this soon and try it out
Hi. Thank you for the video. How smooth is the milk you make? My handmade milk is quite gritty even after I filter it through a cheese cloth.
@@AlmondCow No need to strain? For me the really really small pieces of nuts in the liquid (milk) makes it hard to swallow.
@@drac124 I make it by hand and there's no small or minuscule particles if nuts in the liquid ...the secret is to strain the nuts through voile fabric not cheesecloth the cheesecloth has holes in it...try it
How long roughly does this recipe keep for?
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💪🏽❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve always made nut milk effortlessly in my Vitamix. What’s the advantage of using this machine?
It strains the pulp for you.
I've done the same in a vitamix. It's annoying having to strain thru a nut bag. And u have to strain it bc otherwise it's gross. Makes me not want to do it. So I was so excited to find the almond cow...easyyyyyyy😌
Thanks for this video. It was very detailed. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
Hi, this reminds me of the soy milk machine maker I purchased years ago. Is this machine loud? Does it make your house smell of almonds? I couldn't tolerate the smell or bean taste of the soy beans and had to return it.
Your almond/oak milk mentioned "rinsed oats" as opposed to soaked oats for four hours. Is that correct, you just rinse them?
Hi Dina! We recommend soaking whole grain oats (oat groats) as this softens them and brings out the most oat flavor when using them to make milk. We also recommend giving them a good rinse with cold water after soaking. We don't recommend soaking any other type of oats, just a quick rinse is good. Hope this helps!
Is there a recipe for soy creamer?
@@AlmondCow I get a "404 Page Not Found" error when I click into the second link.
Can I make half of that recipe?
@@AlmondCow Thank you!
yes great video there are seriouslly 30 minute videos less informative-thank u
Do the nuts need to be raw??
Yes
Can I make butter for toast with it?
@@AlmondCow amazing thanks. X
Can I make soy milk with it
the blue light is not coming on. I just received my almond milk.
Please contact us at info@almondcow.co (not com) and we'd be happy to further assist you.
Hi there the website is not so fresh and look like a scam😩 is that the official channel of the brand as I’m looking to buy the full package from France but no such products is available online no extras as the full package, could anyone send me a proper link for overseas THANKS!
So expensive tho! 😕
Not compared to buying almond milk at the store each week, which doesn't come anywhere close to the quality you can make yourself.
You can do payment plans! Also think of all the plastic that wont go in the trash.
This is not for poverty people.
LorenzoNW BINGO! Not to mention all the chemicals and endocrine carcinogenic ingredients in most store bought! I’ll invest in my health at ANY AND ALL LENGTHS ... if you don’t have money to splurge on convenience items like this .. there are always alternative ways - you can either save up then buy or seek how to make the old fashioned way.
@@tubbysza Yes it seems pricey, but it is an investment that will eventually save you money in the long run (assuming the machine is of good quality and well maintained). Buying nuts, oats, etc in BULK is cheaper. Buying already made milks from the store eventually adds up and you end up spending more money in the end. PLUS, your not ingesting extra preservatives = health is wealth
Love the idea, but it's way too expensive!
Got it as a gift!! Free!!
Why does it cost so much?
Close to 200. May can find it on sale somewhere...I haven’t researched it that far yet.
I make it in my vitamix , why the need for a 200 dollar gadget?🤔
Definitely, but the draining part is a PITA. Also if you don't have a Vitamix, I guess it's $400 :/
compost ohno
It doesn’t really seem any easier or faster to use or clean than a blender and a nutmilk bag
Food. Health. Fit. Right lol just use a nut bag and blender. I felt like it took a while to make it
It says less than a minute. Pretty easy compared to a milk bag and blender!
I received my unit brand new as a gift. I can’t get the filter basket off at all. Turning it the correct direction, but it’s like this thing is welded on and doesn’t move even the slightest bit. Fingers are completely bruised because the tiny handle doesn’t provide a safe grip for turning. The only way this basket is coming off is with tools, and that’s ridiculous. Wish I could tell you how my milk tastes, but unfortunately I don’t own a blow torch to get this piece of garbage free.if I had 3 hands I give 3 thumbs down...
😂
