    All you need to make Almond milk is almonds and water. Salt should be added after the milk is separated from the pulp. It enhances flavor, but mostly acts as a mild preservative. Other flavors or sweeteners should be added at the end to control consistency of flavor. Don't waste good vanilla by having it all absorbed by the pulp.

    You can add the pulp to meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs. It's delicious, moist and tender.

    I got an almond cow for a relative for a gift. She now is living with me and I am using her almond cow. I made almond milk for the first time yesterday and it is good. I've been buying oatmilk but when I'm out I will be making that also. The almond milk was so fast and delicious, had it on my granola this morning it's a fantastic machine. No more money spent for inferior milks that have additives I don't want and cheaper to make. Everyone should have one that uses non dairy milk regularly.

    I am struggling making creamer that is thick/creamy enough to substitute the grocery store creamers. I've tried making it, but it's just so thin. I've tried the collector cup method, warm water, running it through 2 times and none work. Do you have any suggestions about what I could add to it afterwards to thicken it up? Maybe EVOO, coconut oil, avocado oil, a clean protein powder? Any other thoughts of what to do? The main reason I bought the Almond Cow was to make a healthy creamer and so far I haven't had any good results. I even tried making coconut milk to hopefully skim off the top cream and add that to my creamer that I make, but when I make it the coconut flakes get into the milk and it's not separating. I do plan to make Unsweet Almond Milk but waiting until I'm almost out of my store bought one as I don't use the milk everyday like I do the creamer. Please, please, please I need some help. I have called in and tried what was suggested, as listed above. Btw, I use the leftover pulp to make granola. :)

      Thanks for your feedback! You can try adding avocado oil to the top of the ingredients in the filter basket when making milk or you can add 1 tsp sunflower lecithin to the filter basket with the other ingredients. Hope this helps!

    • @AlmondCow
      @AlmondCow  Před rokem

      Hi Dina! We recommend soaking whole grain oats (oat groats) as this softens them and brings out the most oat flavor when using them to make milk. We also recommend giving them a good rinse with cold water after soaking. We don't recommend soaking any other type of oats, just a quick rinse is good. Hope this helps!

      @@tubbysza Yes it seems pricey, but it is an investment that will eventually save you money in the long run (assuming the machine is of good quality and well maintained). Buying nuts, oats, etc in BULK is cheaper. Buying already made milks from the store eventually adds up and you end up spending more money in the end. Fingers are completely bruised because the tiny handle doesn’t provide a safe grip for turning. The only way this basket is coming off is with tools, and that’s ridiculous. Wish I could tell you how my milk tastes, but unfortunately I don’t own a blow torch to get this piece of garbage free.if I had 3 hands I give 3 thumbs down...
