    can I make only one cup of milk at a time or do I have to put minimum of this much water and other ingredients each time?

    • @AlmondCow
      @AlmondCow Před dnem

      Each batch makes 5-6 cups of milk! The minimum is 5 cups of water in the base. We recommend to use 1 cup of ingredients per batch (this is also the max amount of ingredients that fits in the filter basket). Cheers!

    I've had my almond cow for many years now, almost since it first came out. Very happy with it. I can have whatever plant milk I want when I want, and I love using the leftover pulp as a cereal or baking.

    Hi! Where do you recommend purchasing the dragon fruit and watermelon extract? And what is your favorite brand? I am having trouble finding the extracts. I am only seeing the powders online.

    • @AlmondCow
      @AlmondCow Před 4 dny

      Hi! We recommend online as both dragon fruit and watermelon liquid extract can be harder to find physically in stores. They may be also listed online as concentrate syrup. We don't have a favorite brand so any one you'd like would work! The powdered form can also be used as well - we recommend to add the powder to the filter basket rather than in the base in this case. Cheers!

      Hi! Here are some tips to help make creamier milk: Use warm water in the base of the machine (we do not recommend using warm water with oats as it can create slimy milk). Run the Almond Cow through two cycles. With this suggestion, you will remove the ingredients in the filter basket after the Almond Cow has completed its first cycle and replace it with new ingredients, but leave the milk in the base of the machine. Press the cow button and run the machine through a second cycle. Please do not do this more than three times consecutively. Use less water in the base! You can use less water, but you must use ice to offset the water to reach the minimum line if using this method (we do not recommend doing this with coconut as it can create coconut fat clumps). If you are not already using oats or cashews, adding either one is a great way to make the milk more creamy. You could also try the creamer method when making milk. It makes less milk but is creamier. Check it out here: czcams.com/video/1LDeW8Fyjms/video.html

    Do you have to soak oats over night?

    • @AlmondCow
      @AlmondCow Před 5 měsíci

      We only recommend soaking whole grain oats as these are the least processed form of oats and soaking them for at least 4 hours in cold water helps bring out the most oat flavor when making oat milk. We don't recommend soaking other types of oats (rolled, quick, etc.) as these are a more processed form of oats and can create a slimy oat milk.
