Shum is an Old Slavic god of the forest and at the same time this is a ritual song for invoking spring after a long winter, and at the same time an allegory of getting rid of a long covid anxiety. А в мене сльози навертаються від захвату. До того рідне й близьке мені це звучання, ця манера, цей істинно український народний стиль співу. А від того, що поряд з цим стилем є сучасна обробка, ефект пісні ще збільшується. Тим паче, в поєднанні з такою актуальною тематикою, як пандемія. Дуже радує кінцівка пісні, яку я зрозуміла як початок звільнення від вірусу.
Ці звучання пробуджують те, про що ми забули в теперішній час. Але, варто нам лише почути давні українські мотиви, як із глибини душі виринає те величне та істинне, що нагадує, хто ми є. Дякую вам за це неперевершене відчуття

The song "Shum" interpreted by Go_A is a modern rethinking of an archaic spring-game with elements of ancient magical rituals. "Our ancestors have always had a close connection with nature, and this has influenced their worldview and outlook. Calling Shum means waking up spring and speeding up the process of awakening all living things after a long cold winter. Today, this story takes on a new meaning. and is in a state of prolonged self-isolation and each of us felt how a person needs society and the need to feel part of something bigger. When creating the composition, I was inspired by spring-game from Polissya and dark techno, "says Go_A soloist Kateryna Pavlenko.

That's my big worry, I love this original version, I don't know how they can cut it to 3 mins without affecting the flow of the song, the gradual pace increase, and the 'pause' in the middle, are really effective at the moment.
