Juliana Peña has had an impressive camp, sheâs put all the hard work in, sheâs been on a great run in the UFC the past couple of years and has all the tools to dethrone Nunes. Having said that, Nunes by 1st round KO. Edit: HOLY FUCK, THAT WAS WILD. Congrats to Peña

Couple things: Watching Porier getting his meal during weight cut reminds me of watching him on Fightville, which is where I started rooting for him. Dom has the craziest footwork, hope heâs able to put it all together for a vintage performance. And last, I like Pena and she is damn good, but no way that fight makes it outside of round 1, unless NĂșñes wants it to.

@@gunnerstar99 tell me you know nothing about the division without saying it. Had Eddie not fought Conor at 205, he would've fought Khabib. Then Conor went MIA for two years. Realistically, Conor hurt Khabib's legacy more by sitting out than he helped it by getting his ass stomped by him. Khabib was the consensus best in the division when he tossed RDA around. The first time he was turned down for a title fight was Pettis. That's how long he could have and should have been champ.

The funny thing about Dom Cruz's Everst analogy: is that it was completley wrong. You do actually climb up half way, get acclimated, then climb back down. Then you keep doing that until you can push for the summit.

The same people who signed off Megan Anderson to fight Amanda Nunes. Boy was that a mismatch, and an embarrassing one at that because the UFC promoted it as a new challenge to Amanda, they wanted Megan to win. Yet you'd be hard pressed to find a more dominant, one-sided performance by The Lioness then that.

Mike Brown is such a nice guy. But after watching Dustin's fights with Mike Brown, I don't think Mike Brown has been a factor in helping Poirier with his career. I am not saying this to insult Mike Brown. But I watched him almost ruin the Poirier vs. Holloway fight with really poor coaching. In that fight Poirier was the better striker, easily going to a one sided decision in a fight where he was dominating. Then Mike Brown told Poirier to suddenly "go for a takedown." Max Holloway has cast iron wrestling defense, and nobody can take him down. And when you try to take down a guy who doesn't go down, it zaps your cardio completely. Attemping a takedown is how people gas out. And of course Poirier gassed out and almost lost the fight after his failed takedown attempts. I am not a coach, but even I knew not to tell Poirier to "go for a takedown."
