For the Gordon family, there is no timeline, dimension, or reboot, where they are not cursed.
Born in 1882, John Roderick Gordon committed his life to researching, understanding, and defeating the occult. More than a passion, this obsession was fueled by the desire to avoid the dreaded fate that befell so many of his ancestors. This obsession tore his family apart. In 1904 he and his wife gave birth to a son David William Gordon. The boy was born in India, estranged from his father and shielded from dark past of his family.
After 22 years of living his life away from his family, David has has learned that his father has taken his own life, and must now go to his family’s Scottish highland manor, Black Mirror, to settle its heritage.
Like all family matters, it’s complicated. The matriarch of the family, Lady Margaret, is unsure David is fit to take over the house, as is David’s cousin Eddie, who grew up in the manor.
Even more, David is having a tough time uncovering the true nature of his father’s death. And ever since he arrived he’s been having terrible nightmares. Perhaps he’s going mad, like his father. He can’t be sure. He knows less about his family than the appropriately creepy staff that maintain the haunted grounds.
