    The face-lifted Audi A7 debuted in 2019, bringing a new generation of technology and luxury! With a 3.0L Turbocharged V6 and a 7 speed S-tronic transmission, the sexier version of the A6 continues to evolve. After spending several days and many miles with a 2019 A7, I have several things that I really love about it, and only a few that I hated. And after I finished filming this video, I discovered one of the things I hated can be mitigated and removed, which makes me like the A7 even more! The new S6/S7 and RS6/RS7 are going to get a lot of attention for being the sporty/performance models, but in my opnion the "entry level" A7 is one of the best daily driver luxury sedans you can buy right now!

    The complaint about the slowing down when the speed limit changes is something that can be easily remedied through MMI! Completely solves that issue, you can make it less aggressive or completely disable that feature of the adaptive cruise control. Learned this after I filmed this video from my service advisor!

      If I could make any two changes to my A7, it would be these:
      1) Allow keeping the existing cruise speed if the limit changes but the overage is within a given threshold or the speed limit increases. For example, if I'm following the speed of traffic going 65 in a 55, then the speed limit increases to 60, stay at 65. Automatically REDUCING cruise speed when the speed limit goes UP is absurd.
      2) Ignore school zone speed limits. I can accept that image processing just isn't able to tell whether the school zone time frame is active, so I'd rather just have cruise pretend they don't exist. I can't remember the last time I drove through a zone during school hours, so it'd be way less annoying and probably safer if I manually took over in those rare cases. Otherwise it's still hammering down from a 40 to a 20 which is clearly unsafe when other cars are following.

    Great review! i bought this a7 2019 wth the sline black optics package. I agree the rear diffuser no exhaust thing looks terrible so I decided to add a s7 cosmetic gloss black rear diffuser with dual chrome tips.Even though its not functional it looks amazing and made the rear look more aggressive and a wider sporty stance

    Adaptive cruise is one of the must have options I think. Just done a 2500 mile road trip around France in my S5 with same system and it was an absolute joy to drive. Though I ended up disabling the auto speed change feature which is easy to do in the mmi. Sometimes useful though in an area you don't know where the cops and cameras are.

    I like the original A7 ten times more. They lost what the 7 was all about by just sharpening every angle and making it boring looking like most current audis.

      Yes, powerfolding is standard on higher-end models; mirrors fold on lock and unfold when you turn the car on

    5:10 - According to the manual:
    "Traffic sign recognition does not adapt your vehicle's speed to match the speed Limit."
    You were probably experiencing 'predictive control' which is where the car uses the GPS map to slow down before "tighter" corners (albeit maddeningly) but it's able to be disabled in the UI.
    VEHICLE > Driver assistance > Adaptive cruise assist > Predictive control > Adjustment to curves along route > (very) off.

    • @EddieX
      @EddieX  Před 4 lety

      Afterwards I learned it's a setting that can be changed. It was absolutely suddenly reducing the speed when it observed a speed limit change. Happened numerous times even when going in a straight line

    • @tim3172
      @tim3172 Před 4 lety

      @@EddieX Sorry, Audi's verbiage is confusing AF. They literally say it can't control the speed based on input from the cameras but then it goes into detail about how speed limits can affect the system. Predictive control seems to use GPS so maybe they were being very literal.
      One option if you wanted to leave it enabled is setting it to 'Within tolerance' which might prevent the harsh braking or, as they say, to 'raise efficiency' AKA not drop anchor.

I talked to my service manager and its a major complaint that they get. You are right, you can make it a bit less aggressive, or disable it completely. which solves the problem!

    Why does it look boring to me, especially up front? I think it’s the part under the headlights not looking finished with fog lights or even aluminum trim to match the grill. Personally I think the A6 looks better in this generation. Even the A5/S5 looks more cohesive. Maybe the S7 will be more interesting.
