So where I live (Phoenix) I saw some people working on the cracks in the road. The guy was, I think, riding on this thing. Maybe he was pushing it but it really looked like he was sitting on it. I was just driving by so I didn't get the best look. Anyway, it either had fire coming out of the bottom or was creating sparks that made it look like fire. Do you or anyone else have any idea what that was??
Where I used to work we called them routers. Don’t know the official name though. Heavy suckers to push and the nasty dirt it kicks up is terrible for your lungs
I personally feel like it’s only necessary to use when it’s wet or moist but besides that just high air pressure works fine… no propane… heat lance is heavier than a blowand as well….
Its right in the beginning. They should have included a view of the channel cut.. Ck other videos ,a couple showed the cut,but left out the cutter . as I recall

You neet it cleaned out ensuring the solid pavement only being bonded with the injected crack filler. .The filler needs to adhere to a solid pavement. This mnimises the flex of any repair spot that must endure vehicle travel on its surface,rain and freeze thaw cycles etc..Flexing, water temperature changes esp freeze/thaw cycles will lead to complete separation/break down of the repair much sooner if not done in this manner. An analoygy, of which there are many ,would be what a dentist does when he finds a cavity.. Clean out all the decay,prep the good part to increase adhesion and put in the epoxy. crack/cavity .
No road in the world can survive frost and melt.. ice has more volume than water.. water goes inside the smaller pockets during day and in night freezes and expands.. result cracks and potholes.
@@abhimanit12 it even happens where we get little rain in the Palm Springs desert and no frost. The constant weight shifting that is transferred into the roads from the moving traffic is a primary causeof the accelerated breakdown
GE Advanced Silicone has done a great job for my asphalt driveway. It’s hard to beat 100% flexible silicone.

Why don't they build the road properly in the first place?
The ground is always moving and shifting. Cracks will happen to the best built roads.
