Not because he took drugs, not because he ran this pistol into the ground, not because he acted like a psychopath, but because his actions caused another Rockafire Explosion band to be destroyed :,(. A channel called 'The Carpet Bagger' uploaded a video of him exploring the remains of this roadside attraction, and scattered throughout, you can see characters of that wondrous band, not unrecognizable, but not operational

Out of the blue, which is the official color of Kentucky, I googled Guntown Mountain (memories of yonder years) and explored the caverns and taverns of Will Russell's invention and imagination. This place is going to be HUGE for Cave City and southern Kentucky! Just skip Glasgow and bypass straight to his place. In two years this destination with Mammoth Cave is going to be over flowing with cotton candy dreams and mountain memories you can share with your children, family and friends for years to come! LOVE IT!
Really a shame to see this end up failing. I followed all the progress on Facebook and was so excited for the opening. Luckily it's been auctioned to another person, so hopefully the "3rd time is a charm" so to speak and they can make this a successful roadside attraction that people can enjoy. I sincerely hope all those restored animatronics are auctioned off and not demolished, because I know for a fact that Aaron Fechter worked hard to get the "rockafire members" ready for this. That's a lot of hard work wasted on his part, even if Will paid for it. I'm sorry, but personally, as an artist myself, even if I made a successful sale to someone, it would crush me to see my stuff sitting in an abandoned property or find out it was destroyed only a few months after finishing it. Money compensates for time but art and creation is something you hope people cherish and I know Aaron has a hard enough time living with the reality that Chuck E Cheese took over his franchise and built downgraded models over his animatronics. It's seriously no fair to him to have to go through all the work of restoring and rebuilding only to have this happen. And before people go "oh boo hoo he makes enough with his tours and so on", MONEY ISN'T THE POINT. I watched his videos, he spent a lot of time getting them ready for Will. My heart seriously goes out to Aaron with this. Another place with his animatronics that failed. It's like the past came back to haunt him in a less successful fashion but all the same, this would dishearten me if I was in his shoes. I guess in closing, I will just restate that I hope all the animatronics that are still in good condition are saved from this place, even the ones Aaron didn't make. :/
I love what you guys are doing. This is going to make such a difference. It will appeal to a TON of the people visiting Mammoth Cave too who are looking for entertainment.

you need a place that someone can stay. A place that would be like it used to be back in the day serving dinners as they used to . I would make reservations then. That way the people that do stay can really experience the whole cave city experience. Maybe camping spots too. Cabins, An Inn of somesort like they had back in the American Fronteer days. Would be really cool.

It was changed from gun to fun like you said why? Cause the gun it didnt want to affend anyone. Yes guntown did bring in a lot of travelers and revenue but after it closed cave city was drying up. Yes sir you prob had good intentions about the place. you owned a lot of dept in the past so somehow you took out a loan to buy this place but then after you opened it then afterwards there was drug selling up there don't know if you was involved so some how you lost this place and foreclosed on it you ended up in a hospital or something so now guntown just sits up there on the hill rotting away until someone brings it back to life of course it won't be like it used to be. You shouldn't have changed it to fun town it should've been changed to drugtown
I'm pissed off some spoiled little talentless jerk bought this property just to boast about all his "visions" just to throw a tantrum and ruin it. What a waste. What a complete waste of a lot of people's time and money and passion.
