I remember my rabbit passed away when we was driving him to the vet. Think he passed from G-stasis or whatever its called at age 13. Haven't had a pet since and that was like 8 years ago. Sorry for your loss

my rabbit passed away today and it’s been one of the most difficult things I’ve ever had to deal with. My boy Casper was the best bunny who loved to binky and hop on my shoulders. We listen to music together and he helped me through my depressive episodes. He was the thing that kept me going. Bunnies are the most amazing animals.

I can really relate to that, my bunny helped me through tough times as well and when he died last year it was horrible for me and I spend the whole weekend bursting into tears..

My rabbit died the same week we put my dog down and I'm still thinking abt her every day and that was in July of last year 😭

I was literally taking a break from drawing to make overnight oats (my mom said they would be good and to try them, so I made some with her) and I came back to see the video. Thanks for the information even though you didn’t have to. Lulu was an amazing rabbit, and she had a great life and got great care from you. You are an amazing owner, and you made sure she had the best life.

I’m so sorry, I’m literally crying lulu was a beautiful rabbit and she hade a great life rest in peace lulu we love you
I'm so sorry for your loss. The fact that you felt like your rabbits quality of life was more important than your happiness and made the right decision for her makes you a great pet mom and person. I had to make the decision to put my 13 year old cat down in 2019 and it was one of the hardest things I had to due but I knew it was the right thing for her, regardless of how sad it made me. It never gets easier and I will always miss her. R.I.P. Lulu
i just put my 9 year old lion head rabbit down yesterday afternoon....... he died in my arms listening to his favorite song on loop and hearing me reassuring him that im staying till the very end. ill never have another rabbit as protective, and loving and goofy as him.

I’m terribly sorry for your loss! I lost both my buns last year and I still miss them. I was left with nothing as they passed within 3 weeks of each other. Please remember you still have your other beautiful buns! She shall be binkying pain free and as nimble as her young self was! Grazing and playing with Mocha and Bell. The beautiful Lulu will always be remembered. You will meet her again

Thank you for making this video, and for sharing lulu's "update" with us. I understand how hard it must have been. Especially to talk so calmly while fighting back tears. I think the same thing happened to one of my rabbits. I had a mini rex named Chester. I adopted him when he was 8 yrs old from the SPCA. He ended up living until he was about 15. Chester needed special care in his last few years as well. My vet called him geriatric. He said Chester had a will to live, that he had fight left in him. So he was put on meds. They helped him live 3 more years. He had a chronic respiratory illness. I always had to clean his eyes and nose. And he saw his vet when he needed to. I was out when" it" happened. I found him on his side... Looking like he'd been stuck and trying to get himself up. (Like you mentioned how lulu was). I felt horrible. I wish I'd had Been there. I wish he didn't have to die alone. He was my best friend. I loved him so much. Chester will always have a special place in my heart. I lost many rabbits throughout my life. Danny was my Holland lop. I had him as a child, until I was a young teen. And they stick with you. Sorry to talk about myself. I just wanted you to know... I understand completely. And I loved your tribute to Lulu at the end. Those were really good pictures of her :)

My bunny Sam passed away a couple of weeks ago. He was 14 weeks old and had a condition called Max Factor. He had an eye infection and I cleaned his eyes everyday. (He’s blind so he wasn’t scared of the eye wash) his back legs weren’t paralyzed but they were splayed so he would drag them and eventually his bottom got super dirty. He got weekly baths and I brushed him every night. I took him to the vet because I didn’t know how to keep him clean. The vet said that he needed to be put down sometime in the next week. I chose to do it the same day so he wasn’t suffering and it wasn’t harder on me. Poor little Sam. You’re binkying in Heaven and you can see!
Haylee, I am so very sorry for your loss. My bunny passed away 11 days ago as well, and I have been struggling with things in my personal life like you mentioned too. This year has been hard enough as it is. I really feel your pain. I wish the best for you, Sterling, and Ebony. You all are in my thoughts.

When our dog had cancer he was eating, moving, and pottying on his own up until the day he passed away naturally, it all happened within like a day. Our vet explained that when older pets get sick they compensate for it to try and maintain their lifestyle, get sicker, compensate more, then they hit a point where they just completely decompensate and it can seem very sudden and drastic.
My new lil bun Artemis is living an absolutely lavish life of free-roam, a giant custom litter box, and a balanced well-read diet all with your help! You have a positive impact on more bunnies than you could ever count and we love you sooo much! ♡

omg i'm so sad. and ngl, i might've cried a little. she was such a sweet rabbit and as i watched your channel and saw how much older and older she got, you always did the simple things to improve her life. like when you removed her ramp so she wouldn't fall in her old enclosure, moving her to the spare bathroom so she would be warm, adding all the layers of fabric to her floor. you have been the best rabbit owner i've seen so far and i've watched and subscribed to a lot of bunny channels. we will all miss lulu, and i'm sure she is binkying in heaven with the other bunnies

I know how sad you can be. My lop died in my arm from GI stasis while I was calling emergency vet to see if they took bunny during thanksgiving week-end. It been 2 year and I still cry. I was lucky that since he was mine and my husband first pet together the decision of cremating him and keeping his ashes was made. It's hard and no words will help but you are not alone. You created a community and we are grieving with you. Bless you, and your family.

Lulu had the absolute best life and that’s because of you. You are a wonderful rabbit mom. Lulu was the first and she loved you!
I love that you have been considerate to Lulu’s feelings that is in lot of pain at that time. And if I were in your shoes, I would also put her down for the sake of ending her pain due to severe arthritis. You have been a wonderful rabbit owner, always putting your rabbit’s best interests, continuously improving your rabbit care, spoiling your rabbits with a huge space as their area, giving different types of hay and providing a lot of enrichment. Most importantly is that you give all your love to them. I wish you would take Lulu’s passing well and think about all the happy moments you had spend with her to overcome your grief of losing her ❤️
Lulu lived an incredibly long and very happy bunny life! She was very happy. She’s in bunny heaven with Mocha and Belle 💕
Id also like to add, I think as not only rabbit parents but just a parent of any pet, it’s hard to realize it’s the end and have to put them down, but forcing them to live a very uncomfortable and awful end of life for our own benefit. Forcing them to live for just a few more months horrifically for us is awful, and while it is SO hard to do, it’s what is right. You did the most wonderful thing you could, and I know that Lulu truly appreciated you making her last days as comfortable and relaxing as you possibly could. You did everything right, and are an amazing rabbit mom.
I have a bunny named Lulu too!! unfortunately, Lulu got an inner ear infection in late August. Which made her very unbalance and her head is now tilled to the left, we took her to the vet as soon as we could which was 2-3 hours away. She got medication and antibiotics it did help with her head being tilled, after about 2-3 months she was all better. But she got the inner ear infection again but on her right side, she still has her inner ear infection to this day, it does affect her balance, she has gotten a bit better with her balance... it's hard to see my bunny flip in her cage non-stop... it's like she does a death roll but worst... she doesn't stop rolling in her cage when she does stop rolling she's exhausted.... sorry for your loss your little baby Lulu is in a great place now 😔😊💖💞💕🙏

Haley, do you think that perhaps she had had a stroke? Her symptoms you describe towards the end of her life sure fit. I’ve experienced this with senior cats.

My rabbit passed away this year. He had to be put down because of a tumour in his lungs and it was very hard for him to breathe. He fell asleep in my arms and I think about him every day. He was a wonderful rabbit and he will stay with me always. And Lulu will always be in your heart.

This video hits home with me right now...I had to put my cat of 19 years down the day after Christmas...I had to make the decision a few days beforehand and it made Christmas a bit difficult knowing what was to come. So sorry for your loss. She had a wonderful mom and a life full of love ❤ wishing you the best with everything you are going thru currently.

Your dedication to her is amazing to me. Most people would not have the patience that you had with her to tend to her every hour like that. And yes you are right that the vet would have done the same things you did. You don’t have to justify your actions or your final decision. You did what was best for her and you took GREAT care of her. I have a lot of respect for you.

Sorry for your loss. I have a 6.5 YO Lulu. She has some arthritis and occasionally loses her balance in a strange way. I will be facing the same thing you just went through. You had many good years with her - remember the good days.

sorry for your loss.. when my first rabbit died (he found me in my yard under the car)..it was devastating to the point where i couldnt have any... and rabbits were always my spirit animal...i literally researched rabbit health for 6 years after.. before the next 2 found me..they are each approximately 2-3 but im still terrified..and i cherish every moment they give me.. and im terrified every day so thank you for sharing because it makes me feel less crazy
