    Hey everybody, welcome back to my channel! In today’s tutorial I am showing you how I create my snowglobe tumblers. This has been a highly suggested tutorial that I thought I would share with you.     -24 oz Starbucks tumbler or any double walled acrylic tumbler
    GLITTERS USED:
    Good Evening bats, dark as night bright as day both from Glitter makes it. (see discount code above)

    Green Fabric paint- purchased from walmart
    Snowglobe solutions: Lava lamp- Vegetable glycerin and Baby oil Traditional snow globe- vegetable glycerin and water.
    To add solutions i used a party syringe you can purchase in the party section at walmart, you may also want to try a funnel or pipette
    Alcohol inks used for coloring: Indigo, Amethyst, and Wild plum

    I actually liked that the bats were sticking to the sides! The green drip cup is my favorite out of the two. It’s kind of like the Starbucks mermaid is the evil queen of the town and then the bats are like surrounding the castle. It’s really nice!!!

    Love these especially the witches brew one with the purple solution. I couldn't find the trick or treat glitter on the site though :/

      Trick or treat was a subscription box color I believe so it may take a little bit of time to get it on her site. In a pinch though you could mix a purple green and black glitter and get the same effect

    Love love love! I tried and my glitter chance the fluid color in my cup, I used veg. Glycerin 50/50 with water. Any tips?

      Hmm so weird I have not had mine do that. It sounds like it could be the glitter that you use? Not sure other than that. Maybe try another glitter brand that you have on hand just in a cup and see if it changes your solution color

      Hi there! So this is actually layered vinyl. So a white circle and then the Skeleton cut out but you could totally use a print and cut image in printable vinyl as well!

      Yes so directly in the hole and just around it so it holds

      Yay so glad yours turned out! I just clean my cups really well with rubbing alcohol and apply my epoxy. I don’t sand as I have had experiences where the scratches from the sanding block show through

      Hi there! Thank you so much, for how much glitter I use typical around 1-2 medicine cups full the one with the bats those I only added like a palm full so they could still be easily seen

    What would you use to seal the vinyl on the witches cup or do you even have to seal it? Also do you wash the cups by hand?

      Yes so you could use Polycrylic to seal if you don’t want to epoxy. I usually just leave the vinyl as is and hand wash only

      It has a slight glow but very bright. If I had added glitter and a stronger glow powder I think it would have looked much better.

    Was that alcohol ink that you added for the colorant? I absolutely love these! I have purchased an “off brand” acrylic double walled cups and I may try this!!❤️‍🔥

      Yes I added the alcohol ink to color the solution before adding it to the tumbler

    Hey love, so do you just cover the original logo up? I find that mine will still show through when I do that 💔

      Yep I just covered the logo up with the other. I can’t see the original logo through the new one unless I’m looking at the inside of the cup

    Can I use the alcohol pearls instead of the alcohol ink to fill the tumbler? I have one but not the other. These turned out so cute. Thanks for sharing 😊😊💜💜

      Hey there! Yes after the fabric paint dried I epoxied over the entire cup minus the very bottom where I applied the UV resin and epoxy to cover the dip

      @@lyshabcreative2659 would there be anyway in the near future you would be able to make a video of you showing us the steps to epoxy this type of tumbler. I have seen the typical stainless steel type. but never the snowglobe double walled cup, with the vinyl adhered. I need to make sure from a professional that I will be doing it correctly. I would feel better that once I have finished my snowglobe tumbler and place the vinyl in it appropriate locations that putting epoxy on it would make me feel better that the vinyl will never be able to lift and peel away. thank you so much.

      I did epoxy over the drips. If you didn’t epoxy over it then it would probably last a decent amount of time since you are using fabric paint as the base

    How can I get the bubbles out? I use the 1cup warm water 1 tablespoon of elmers glue.

    How do you deal with the glycerine and glow powder separating? What do they look like after sitting for a few hours?

      I haven’t had an issue when I use glow powder in my 50/50 solution of glycerin and water separating, I just make sure to mix everything really well! I’m this one I used baby oil and didn’t like how the glow powder looked after I put it in the cup. For the baby oil one it all ended up settling and not longer flowing with the rest of the solution

      @@lyshabcreative2659 Thats baffling. My glow powder just sinks straight to the bottom in a few short hours. I'm doing straight glycerin so I'll give the 50/50 mix a shot I guess.

    I have a problem with my snow globes getting cloudy (sometimes, not always) before giving to the customer .. is there any ways to prevent that?

      Hmm haven’t had that happen. But I would try to use distilled water and make sure you are stirring your solution up really well until it’s clear and there’s now strings of glycerin before adding it to your tumbler.

      I buy my Starbucks blanks right from Starbucks but you could buy dupes from Hogg tumblers and some other places that sell the dupes for like $5!

    I have a total cup fail how can I restart this? How do I take out the water/glue I used to maybe try glycerine? My glue looks super stuck at the top doesn’t flow pretty 😩 help!

      You should be able to just rinse it with water until all the glue and glitter comes out so you can start over.

      Hi there I believe the original size I made this logo was a 3.5 in circle for the logo. It was slightly over the original logo. The way that I figured out what worked best was just measuring the best I could with a measurement tape and then playing with the cut setting and adjusting to get the best fit

    Please help!
    How do you keep the vynil from lifting? I clean my snow globe tumblers with alcohol before applying the permanent vynil but I always end up with it wanting to start lifting few weeks later.

      Normal wear and tear is normal so lifting of the vinyl after hand washing will still happen. If you don’t use or want to deal with epoxy you can try applying heat from a heat gun to really get your vinyl adhered doesn’t mean it won’t lift ever but helps it better stick down

    How much of each solution( glycerin and water) do you put in if you have a 24 oz cup

      It’s a 50/50 mix of the solution for a total of 2 cups for my 24 oz give or take a few ounces

      I just made a “test” one and found that I added too much glitter. I find it hard to gauge so it has a good flow

    Is there a reason that you don’t just use the UV resin for the whole bottom instead of uv resin and then epoxy?

      In this particular tutorial the UV resin I was using was not the best and o still felt it was a bit tacky in larger ours so I opted to use epoxy to finish the bottom. You can certainly use UV to finish off your complete bottom!

      So the different solutions are used depending on how you want your glitter to float. Clear glue solution tends to float slower, baby oil creates more of a lava lamp style. I just prefer the way glitter floats with the glycerin and distilled water solution

    Can I epoxy my cups the rim is leaking and I want to make sure they are in phenomenal condition before selling them to customers

      Oh no! If your rim is leaking you must have a broken seal at the rim. They may not be the best ones to sell. You could try to fix the rim by adding some UV resin where you think the leak is to seal it. I wouldn’t epoxy until the leak though is sealed

    I’ve feel like I’ve tried everything …my glitter keeps getting stuck at the top of my tumbler..and I’m using chunky glitter.🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I’ve been watching video after video and it is not working for me lol

      Are you only using chunky glitter? If I use a finer like medium chunk with my chunky glitter I find I have better movement and less glitter chunking together.

      Try a flour sifter to sift out the fine glitter from your chunky mix

      That was def not my favorite solution either! I do wish I would have gotten that solution to work better for me to make a better lava lamp style tumbler.
