    I have to agree that the Nissan is a more attractive proposition but I much prefer the Isuzu engine. If Isuzu fitted out the Dmax the same as Nissan then it would be hard to beat especially with the already deeper wading depth which would be even better with a suspension lift.

    I got the Pro 4x and the reasons why is because of warranty, 20,000km service (I can do more driving) safety tech, 1000kg payload and of course the awesome exterior look. I dont do crazy off roading or tow any trailer. If I do these things I would've gotten me A Wildtrax X. The new Navara is perfect for my lifestyle.

      The Pro-4x is better off road, and accepts mods way more seamlessly. Reviewers will always skip this, but the Nav has traction control that works at front wheels when rear diff is engaged. The hilux doesnt, and the Nav traction is overall better and more decisive when it kicks in. The Isuzu almost has no traction control.

      You are completely crazy if you are leaving oil in a new engine for 20,000ks. We recently test drove a Pro 4x and would of brought it, however the interior was just too out dated and was a mirror image of our 2015 qashqai. Not to mention the lower model stx has more features. Dropped our money on a new wildtrak instead

    • @Airlxs23

      @@Dyna-mite154 do some research on engine oil change, you dont need to change them evey 3 or 6 months. Check your car manual, it will say once a year or 16000km. Dealership just want more money from you with this oil change scheme. I've been driving for 24 years now and I never had engine issue due to oil change. My mechanic friends told me about this oil change scam. Its all about the money for them.

Rumours are the D Max is bringing the Arctic out in this model. Then do the test again.

    It's also disappointing that having an off road review and not showing the off road mode is pretty ordinary 🤦
    But it's not just $9000 of accessories, it's controlled engineering and tested by premcar world leaders of the WWC
    Not just stickers and a price tag, however it's suspension, dampeners, bash plates with under body protection, bull bar, light bar, Cooper tyres and overall 40mm higher. Goes over speed bumps like butter, absolutely smashes the dmax and that soccer mums would buy based on looks

      Nissan like Ford don't have much going for them in reliability, though the Warrior looks like the better Ute. It wasn't the most sensible purchase.

      Considered the X Terrain, it does look very nice, but the fact that it's traction control isn't great according to all the off road reviews I've watched and I'm not convinced on the durability of its cvs made me go the warrior. I chose it simply because it's a turn key factory backed vehicle that's ready to go anywhere, i love the look of it and unlike the Ford raptor has a excellent payload and tow rating. Warrior and Pro4X got kinda a big gap, it's not exactly the same, even though it is based on the Pro4X.
      Example, the warrior got 260 mm of ground clearance, which is sadly falling at 230 mm for the Pro4X. That's where the Isuzu D-Max is doing better with a 240 mm of ground clearance.
      So if you want the off-roader, you need to go for the warrior, being an improved Pro4X, under that, the D-Max is doing better.

    9k just gets you 20mm (0.79inch) extra ground clearance and off-road tires. That seems a lot, Interestingly even though he said that the D-Max was grounding out pretty much most of the time the 4X with just 20mm more clearance apparently did not, as he did not mention it, who would have thought that a mere 20mm could make such a difference. Either that or someone had an agenda to make the 4X look the better vehicle.

    • @andyg9991
      @andyg9991 Před 2 lety

      The 20mm extra clearance he referred to will be the clearance under the diff. Overall, the Nissan would have quite a bit more body clearance. Having said that, my D-Max arrives in a few weeks, so I made my choice...although Nissan kind of made if for me with its total lack of after sales service here in Australia (at least in my experience and history with the marque)

      9k for upgraded suspension, higher GVM, aggressive AT tyres, bull bar, led light bar, bash plate, tub liner, tow hitch, wider track, fender flares, sports bar plus all under factory warranty is not a value that after market can give you. only unfortunate thing about pro4x is it still misses out on radar cruise control which would make country /highway driving a better experience.
