Wake Forest vs. Georgia Tech Championship Game | ACC Men's Basketball Classic (1996)

For the second year in a row, the Demon Deacons are ACC Tournament Champions, this year having beaten Georgia Tech, 75-74. Georgia Tech had cut a 16-point Wake Forest lead down to one at 71-70, but Wake's Jerry Braswell hit four clutch free throws in the final 47 seconds to ice the game. Tim Duncan was the unanimous selection for ACC Tournament MVP, finishing the championship game with 27 points, 21 rebounds, six assists, four blocks, and two steals. Rusty LaRue added 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists. For Georgia Tech, Stephon Marbury led the Yellow Jackets with 26 points, four assists, and two rebounds. Matt Harpring had 19 points and four rebounds.
