Father Thank You for waking us up this morning, and starting us on our way. Please continue to keep us safe In Your Strong, And Loving Arms where nothing can harm us.
Father I pray for us all that You will continue to lead us where You want us to go. Help us to impact the society in which we live in instead of watching it be influenced by the power of darkness. We must continue to be confident in speaking about You in an ever increasingly hostile environment when it comes to evangelizing. We know that You will protect us from all dangers seen, and unseen.

I recently heard a commentary on those rules for slaves. Slavery was usually a result of owing a debt and not being able to pay it back so had to work it off and a recently free slave would not have the ability to care for wife and children so it was the responsibility of the master not to free them to go hungry.
8 years ago today, March, 10 i had my hip replaced!

Bee, we have free will to choose. When sin entered the world humans devolved and did unspeakable things to each other...still happens. Human trafficking and slavery continue to this day.
Most of the Biblical "slavery " is actually what we know as employment today. And there are laws regarding how an employer is to treat and deal with employees.
Jesus said we are to serve each other. He said if we call Him Master, we are to do as He does. A servant...slave...is not above the Master.
We are either slaves of sin or servants of Christ...take your pick
You'll notice that the slavery that God allows is not the same as the slavery that we think of today, or in our recent past. As we read in Exodus 21, kidnapping (man-stealing) was punishable by death, which would mean that the slave trade we are familiar with is condemned by God. But the slavery within Israel was more like "employment." A man who would otherwise be destitute would be able to attach himself to an owner for food and shelter.
Exodus 21.32 If the ox gores a slave, male or female, the owner shall give to their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. Matthew 26. 14 Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests 15 and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver.
Can anyone tell me what Bible version this is? Almost seems the Old Testament and New are two different editions?

Does anyone else feel like the speed is a tad slow? I listen on 1.25.
I listen at 1.25, as well, but I watch most YT vids at 1.5 or 1.75, so that's just me.
Luke 24:32 needs to be changed to 'hearts', not 'ears' "burning within us". When recording this for audio, can you simply say that one sentence again and have them splice it in? (I know "splice" is an old fashioned term for cutting tape, then putting another piece in between and taping it in place to run as one piece, and may not at all be accurate.) I am curious, and that is all. I know I've seen Ray Comfort repeat one sentence in a video that is unedited so that they can just cut out the sentence that he said in some way they don't feel is exact. I'm growing curious about how hard it is to do all this.
Anyway, really enjoyed the reading today! Thank you, yet again.
It is extremely simple to fix this sort of thing. I do digital audio editing and have offered to help Justin if he wants.
