    I studied one year at Vaasa university then I switched to study in Espoo (Aalto) but it was not that worth it as the city is very boring and people are not very open. Best university in Finland is Aalto

      Dear Samir, for me as a person I respect and understand your point of view. My advise is to try your best to connect with the Finns. I found incredible support from VYY - the main student community here. They catered me as one of their own. Loneliness becomes part of the game if you focus on it and complain. Adapting is a gradual process. Aalto is also a fine university. When it comes to Finance in Finland - VAASA and Aalto are the only CFA affiliated universities thereby postulating a mark, a proxy, of standard good education. I found beautiful vaasa people and the professors are too sweet. I am sorry you did not have the experience you hoped for.

    Hello, I wanted to ask about how hard is it to get admitted for a masters program? I am planning on applying for a masters degree that is fairly different than my undergraduate major, do you think I will face problems with that?
    Cheers

      Dear Abdullah, the best tip to give you is to write an honest reflection of the motivation of why you are choosing your program. Hypothetically speaking, I chose MSc Finance, because of for e.g. Vaasa's CFA-affiliation which for me is a proxy for good standard. Try to back up your reasons with your honesty, and of course having good grades helps. I would not think that it is a problem, if you have good marks in your undergrad. I would explain thoroughly in my application what inspired you to change your line of studies. Hope this helps.

    Hello brother!
    I got 100% fee wavier plus 5000 euro relocation allowance at University of Vassa. Most people sre saying Vaasa is a small city. You will not find an odd job. I'm learning the finnish language also. What is your advice?Please guide!
    I'm an electrical engineer by profession.

      I advice to do small steps and not immediately seek a job. First get used to university life, and the city (yes which is small but nice), then try to get a job if that's your goal. But the reality is, that in Helsinki it is easier to get a job then in small Vaasa. You chose Vaasa as a study place so keep that in mind. Vaasa is small, but now post COVID it will be more fun presumably.

    Is malta a good country for study and living or work

    • @aboyinfinland9230
      @aboyinfinland9230  Před 2 lety +1

      Malta's university is very valid and has a good finance program. Living in Malta is beneficial in terms of weather for sure and the culture is very open. Depends what you mean by work, depends on your nationality, depends if you're EU or not and depends on your qualifications. Depends on the sector as well.

    What is the fee's of Master and is there any scholarships available?

    • @aboyinfinland9230
      @aboyinfinland9230  Před 2 lety

      The fees depend on the international master program you are seeking to study. Let's say you intend to do MSc in Finance. If you are non-EU they are in the region of 12,000 euros/1 year. Re-scholarships, you can check the website of university of vaasa. There should be some scholarships for sure. If unclear contact the admission services they reply swiftly.
