    Since distance equals time, keep out of range counter/ intercept then let the opponent get close. If you have time to block, you have time to move and counter, best to simplify and be direct with economy of motion.

      @@crisalcantara7671 movement is one of the best strategies, you can see many ufc fights where they block but don’t move and get hit.

    It's also useful from clinching range! Sometimes mawashi geri just requires too much space.

    I’m 6’5”… my mid kicks might classify as high kicks, but I’m not giving up. Just need more flexibility in my 45 year old hips😂

    nice, I suffer from a hip impingement, so Jodan mawashi and Yoko geri won't work for me. I can kick good Jodan Mae geri, though. Will try this kick, though it might not be allowed in shotokan WKF rule set :)
