Greetings from David,West Malaysia.I was working in Sabah for 15 months and i had the wonderful opportunities to hike up a few hills nearby KK. This Bukit Bonduk is one of the best to hike and it offers the best views from the summit!.The signage along the hiking route technically,is indicating the distance hiked so far and NOT the height.Initially,I was also incorrect to have mistaken the numbers! The two bicycles that were neatly parked up there, were all white when i hiked there in 2022. Now, i see some graffiti colurs added onto these 2 bikes! The chinese lady whose conversation was over-heard was the Cantonese Dialect. If time permits, try to check out Bukit Kopungit, very close to the city and it had tunnels from WW2 and a rustic British Colonel Mansion! Japanese used the tunnels during the 2nd World War! Keep enjoying Sabah!

Hey David! 🌟 Thanks for sharing your awesome experience! Loved hearing about your Sabah hikes and the hidden gems you found. Your insights on Bukit Bonduk and the trail signage were super interesting. And those colorful bike changes? So cool and you really noticed such a small detail, WOW! Definitely gonna check out Bukit Kopungit. Thanks for the tips and greetings from West Malaysia! Thank you for watching! 🥰🥰

tq for reading and replying. The other hills that I had hiked in kk are Bukit Helang, Bukit Kopungit, Bukit Padang and one more hill which I would NOT recommend as you are going to be affected by the unpleasant smell and sight of rubbish dumped at a designated site. Keep enjoying Sabah while you are in KK.

that bukit i did not mention its proper name is Bukit Tiriq. Because to access the starting point, you need to pass by a church and at the first slope, you will see 3 wooden crucifixes made of wood, standing upright!

Welcome to Sabah bro..my home state of East Malaysia commonly known as the "Land Below the Wind" because free from the Deadly typhoon..Interestingly you had a special beautiful local tourist guide who can speak fluent English as we all Local Sabahan can that makes you so easy to understand without any hassle and seems there is a common bond between the two of you 😂..Bukit Bonduk is one of the so many hill for hiking likewise Bukit Padang n Bukit Kopungit to name a few are equally challenging n very close to kota kinabalu city..the massive mountain you mention on your vlog is the iconic Mount Kinabalu the symbol n Pride for Sabahan..the highest mountain in Malaysia or South East Asia with a height of 4095m above mean sea Level n freezing cold temperatures above the summit of the mountain and i have been to the summit twice in my life time..there is a lot more amazing n interesting places to explore within kota kinabalu in particular and sabah as a whole..thanks for visiting sabah n promoting sabah through your amazing vlog..hopefully more people from around the world will come n visit sabah one day to venture into this amazing country..sorry to ask you a question..by the way which Country you came from? I know Runic your friend you mention in your vlog is from Alaska and he is an Alaskan Guy..and he always says..'Salud' an alaskan dialect maybe in his vlog😂 Cheers Bro..
