- Since Adi came to the Netherlands, we have been living together in The Hague. But… our time in The Hague is coming to an end! In the last months, we have discovered all around The Hague, however, there are things we have not seen, or done. So our last weeks in The Hague are all about… completing our The Hague Bucket List!
► One of our bucket list items is to see The Hague from the sky, and we succeeded! We slept on top of the city! We had an amazing stay at The Penthouse @ The Hague Tower. We slept in an apartment with a 360 view over The Hague, so: dinner with sunset and breakfast with the sunrise!

When you come back, do a walkaround/through the Parliament: Plein, Binnenhof, Buitenhof, Hofvijver, Gevangenpoort.
One trip I recommend: on a sunny but not too hot a day, walking from the old harbour in Vlissingen with its Dutch and Belgian Westerschelde pilotboats, via the boulevard, over the high dunes at Zoutelande to the Zeedijk in Westkapelle.
From the dunes you have a good view of Walcheren, the ships are seemingly within arms length and you get to see why we spend so much money on defense against the see. Onwards with the bus to Domburg and then again with the bus to Middelburg.
Veere should be visited too, the old church is big and the churchtower is high with a nice view. Speaking of towers, Westkapelle has one too, all that remains of a big church and it is in use as a lighthouse. That is the high light, the low light is right there in the Zeedijk.

Just came across your videos. Nicely done and set up. Enjoying the content. I'm a Dutchy that moved AWAY from Holland, The Hague area to Canada, 6 years ago (i believe I saw my old neighbourhood in one of your other videos). Lived in The Hague area for more than 32 years, so got to know a lot of the bucket list that you have here.
I saw the tower with your penthouse being build (was a crime for the traffic, as it was basically in our back yard ;-) ) and when I saw a glimpse of your empty bucket list @0:45 , with 'hazelnoot gebak' on it, I knew right away it was Maison Kelder. LOL!! Still, after so many years, it's still famous 'gebak'.
We'll be going back to visit The Netherlands and of course the Haagse Region (since most of our family still lives in that area), in a few months and will put some of these items on our Bucket List.

My heart aches & breaks for the Netherlands. I love the country so much. I wish I could live there now. Circumstances don't allow for that to happen. You don't know what you miss until you have moved on.

It's neat to see these videos. My current Dutch teacher lives in the Hague, and we share a lot outside of the on-line classes. So I have various pictures of some of these places. It's nice seeing things from your perspective too. Also, it is nice seeing how well the two of you get along together. Many people never experience such a good relationship as yours.

If you want to see the Highlander cows, go to the Savornin Lohmannlaan. at the end of it, go into the dunes. I see a herd of about 10 cows there everytime.

What he is eating at the end of the video is BITTER BALLEN MET MOSTERD WHICH IS ALWAYS SERVED HOT! I know this because I have eaten this Dutch snack when I was living in The Netherlands. Broodje kroket is soort gelijk als bitter ballen ook met mosterd geserveerd. It is all meat stuff fllings! Since 2010 I have become vegetarian!
It was for sure not bitterballen, we are vegetarian! Nowadays you have them also veggie 😋

I'm trying to get us all back to the Hague after living in wassenaar last year but our boy didnt get on in his Dutch school so sad to have to go back to the UK. I'm looking for an English school and Dutch language ones to get us back there asap but I need to find a school that's not too expensive for us. I've 3 children!!

You make the best videos. Youy can find the Highland cattle in an area around Arnhem. Perhaps a little less of the word "guys". This is an Americanism of the worst kind. Keep up the good work.
