- Acrylic pour painting using a Fantasy pour technique, a beautiful combination of a wandering ring pour and a straight pour, on a 24x36 gallery wrapped level 3 canvas.
Hello Friends!
I am trying out a slightly different format today! I want to be able to post videos for you every day, but with the amount of editing needed for our very noisy backyard, and the pretty close up shots, it was taking a few days to properly edit each one. So I have decided to try out a slightly less edited version for you (hopefully daily) and one of our fully edited videos on the weekend. Let me know what you think, I'd love to know. Do you want more (maybe noisy) videos? Or do you want the fully edited and 'pretty' ones?
Today's pour is a Fantasy pour, which means it's a wandering ring pour combined with a straight pour. Pouring in this fashion creates some beautiful rings but also some areas of more solid blocks of color as well as beautiful designs and cells.
My colors are:
Colors used:
Metallic Cobalt Blue, Bright Aqua Green, Pearl, Dioxizne Purple, Ultramarine Blue, and 24K Gold.
My pouring medium is Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish, some water and Floetrol.
I really like this technique, I've tried it on a 24x24 and it came out really beautifully! I did the Fantasy pour on a triptych of 18x24s, and it came out really beautiful and vibrant (video coming soon for the triptych)..
I hope you enjoy this video, and like and subscribe and share..
I love to hear your comments, please let me know what you think!

Its a gorgeous fantacy pour Mina thank you so much. Love that dark purple! Have a great day🤗🌹🌹
Oh this is beautiful. I love the colour combination. I usually use a copper or bronze, but when I get home... the gold is coming out to play! Thank you for sharing Mina. Xxx
I really like this one!! It is beautiful but also interesting. I like to get lost in the different valleys and canyons.
love your videos and your art wish my art was that good.
I am so excited that I will get to see a new video from you daily! Your video is the first one that I watch if I have a few notifications. Love the colours in this one.
This one turned out beautiful!!! These are my favorite colors to work with. Fantasy pour sounds better to me too!!! Love your work!
Very awesome great color combo concept was great I liked how it didn't have a lot of gold and it seems like y'all use a lot of gold to me but most of your pictures for all of you all come out wonderful thank you thank
The composition and colors here are just gorgeous. I'm so happy you fought the urge to scrape off that large block of purple that seemed out of place, but it did create balance with other purple areas across the canvass, and with so much movement in the painting, it gives our eyes a place to rest. Plus it celled up a bit so it thus in the end connected with the overall composition. Fabulous!
Gorgeous! I am gleefully obsessed with your video channel.
Thank you so much Stephanie, that put a big smile on my face! ☺️ I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos! Have an awesome weekend! If you ever have any questions feel free to ask! ❤️
I love all your paintings that I have seen. this one was awesome, the best one!
Thank you so much 🥰
💖💖💖
👋 Mina. Don’t worry about background noise as long as we hear 👂 you all good.
Lovely colours combination today, the gold really popped up and loved the purple and white river . 🙏 Karen NZ
Thanks Karen! I'm glad you liked it 🥰
Love this effect better than just a ring pour gives it some really interesting design. Love what you painted & how you stretched the cells.
Thank you Barbara! I agree, very pretty effects from the Fantasy pour, I'm having a lot of fun with it 🥰🦄❤ thanks for watching!
Love it 😍 And just so you know, I mute most videos when I watch - I always have the sound on for yours 😊 your happy disposition always brightens my day!
Aww Katie you're so sweet 🥰 I hope you have a wonderful bright sunshine day 🌞🌻👒 🥰
Absolutely gorgeous Mina. I love the Cobalt blue as well. Peacock colors are so magical. I watched Heather's video of mixing colors it was very informative. You guys should check it out.
"Fantasy Pour" does sound much better. 😄 You've inspired me to do larger pours. I recently purchased a 48x60 canvas. 😜 Now I just need the courage to pour on it! 🤣
Zeke Enamorado 😳 Good luck!🍀
You can do it Zeke!! Practice, plan ahead and have some extra paint ready then go for it!! Remember with the big ones you really want to stretch the paint to open it up, so use some pouring medium and Floetrol. I'm excited for you!! You can do it!
@@MinaVillegasArt Thanks for the advice and the encouragement. I appreciate it! 😀
Oh wow! I absolutely love your fantasy pour ❤️❤️❤️. What wonderful effects and the colours are super delicious! I must try something similar. Thank you so much. I love watching your videos. Not only do you do fabulous art, you always make me smile with your sense of humour. 💕
Thank you so much Alison! 🥰
Very nice. I was yelling at you during the video but then you were tilting where I wanted you to tilt. 😂 Turned out fantastic. ❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad I went the way you wanted 😂 thanks for watching Pam! 🥰🦄❤
pretty like to see what it peaked great silver black
These colors are so beautiful together. I like watching you do big canvases. I have two 30 x 40 canvases waiting to be poured but am a bit intimidated by them 😕 . Your videos give me inspiration. And hey, it's just paint. 🤗
Thank you Joanne! When you are ready you will know 😉 remember, length x width then divide by 28 to find how many ounces of paint you will need. (30×40=1200, then 1200÷28= 48)..have an extra cup or two of paint just in case and go for it! You are exactly right, its just paint. If you hate it you can wash it off.. but you just might create a masterpiece! 😉 I wish you the best of luck, please send me a picture when you do it!! ❤❤❤
Love all your art!!
Sidebar- seeing the dried finish in the next video doesn’t work bc they’re never shown in any order. Loved it that you showed the dry results at the end & it does take extra time ✌️✌️✌️
Hi Debra, thanks for your feedback! How about if I also post a photo of the dried painting in the community tab of my channel?
Its just that they take a few days to dry and be able to move them, but I still want to share other things with you guys in the meantime. I will do my best, with some of the older videos I do have the dried piece that I can show you
I keep saying No No you are losing the part I like......love the colors...don't know how you handle these large pieces...talent you have my dear......
This is probably my favorite color palette! The blues with the peoples and gold are just amazing. I love the little 'fingers and feathers' that stretch into the solid areas. Stunning, Mina! 😍 I have to ask, do you do anything with the paint 'skins' left after your pour? You could make some absolutely gorgeous jewelry with what I see left on your table when you're done!
Nevermind you explained the fantasy pour! Me duh!
Love your work! Daily paintings - that’s a huge commitment- especially with the editing. Just a suggestion - if you number your paintings that will give us an idea of what ‘the next’ painting is (so we can view the dried results).😊
That's a great suggestion, thank you!
Thanks for watching!
I like your art but I love how happy you always are! It makes watching you work just a good time!!
agree 😍😍
Thank you so much 🌻🦄🌞❤🥰😂
I love those colours ,I would really like to try this myself ,well done !thank you for sharing !
Beautiful. I love it. The colors, the composition, and your cheerful self
Another beautiful piece. I love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing. I love the Celtic style music at the end too. Can you tell me what the name of that song is? Thanks!!😊
Hi Margaret!
czcams.com/video/eSUGj1Bvse0/video.html
Its called 'Arms of the Wind' I believe.
Thanks for watching 🥰
Stunningly beautiful Mina love watching you create 😍🤗😘
You're so sweet Vicki, thank you so much for all your lovely comments 🥰
I really appreciate you watching ❤

Beautiful, I love how it looks like feathers in some sections. Do you put a floating frame or any type of frame on these before you sell them or just leave that up to the buyer?
Wow Mija there's a beautiful tree in there. I love the white! It looks like branches of part of a trunk. By the way, what is a fantasy pour exactly? I'd love to try it but want to know the correct way. 💘💘💘 your work! Thank you for your guidance of I may have given up pouring all together. You've shown me that fluid art is deep and meaningful. Thank you for spending your time.
I super love this! Thanks for sharing. 😀
I am happy you like the OXO spatula I discovered.
I love it!!! Thank you!!!🥰
@@MinaVillegasArt And I appreciate your passion and inspired creations!!
So very gorgeous, I just want to jump in and become one with those spectacular colors❣️
I couldn’t care less about the noises Mina, they don’t bother me at all. I’m usually so focused on the painting that everything else fades into the background.
Thank you for another amazing masterpiece!🥰
You are one of my favorite artists to watch! Love your work.
Thank you so much, I'm so happy to hear that 🥰
I don’t care if there’s noise or not. Love your work with noise or without noise. Thank you. I’ve to try this color 😍😍
I know you called this a peacock pallet and it is, but to me it is definitely a Mermaid pallet. When you do this is similar pallets with those waves I expect a mermaid to come soaring out of those colors. I just love it. Thanks so much for enlightening my day with your creativity!! Love it!
Beautiful as usual! You are my inspiration!
Thank you Sonja! 🥰
Breathtaking! I love these colors and the painting is stunning. I don’t think you could mess one up even if you tried. Just like Heather Mader you have the golden touch.
You're very kind, thank you 🥰
Gorgeous! I love watching you and more is better for me! I don't care about the noise.
Thank you Vanessa 🥰 I appreciate you watching and your feedback! We will give it a shot and see how it goes ❤ thanks again
Beautiful piece. 😍Love this color palette Mina.
I also really like that you list the colors on the video itself.
Brushing up on my Fantasy pour knowledge - this piece is beautiful! Love the details and restful places for the mind. Gorgeous! 😍
Yay! Have fun!! 🥰 I cant wait to see!
I love 💕 it I like the way there is solid colours here and there please don’t scrape it off
Its almost dry now 🥰 no scraping, dont worry
I love your big paintings so much❣️ I really hope that I‘ll be half as good as you one day.☺️ Lovely greetings from Germany.
You are such a sweet, positive and pretty lady. Watching your videos always makes me feeling really happy, you definitely make my days. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful artwork.🙏🏼☺️
All of this wonderful art and the desire to dance a jig at the end. Beautiful Mina.
Just out of this world gorgeous! That's what this is. Bravo!!!! I am in love!
Thank you!
This is beautiful! Well done!
WOWZER, it is so beautiful, the colors are amazing. Could you tell me what your PM was and what was your PM to Paint Ratio please? I really love your Pour Cup, how many cups is it? Do you remember where you got it or the brand name? I think this Format was great, I can certainly understand less editing, it does take a tremendous amount of time. Thank you so much for another fantastic Video.
Hi Calmom! I used Liquitex Gloss Medium &Varnish and a bit of water, then Floetrol. For a 16 ounce cup I start with about 60 g of the GM&V, then add 30 g of paint.. stir well to combine, then roughly the same amount of Floetrol as pouring medium, so 60 g. Depending on which brand of paint you are using you will need more or less water.
The pour cup with the handle is by Catamount Flameware, they make a 2 cup size and a 4 cup size. I use the 2 cup size constantly lol. They are available on Amazon, a little pricey, but if you put in 'beaker with handle' in the search bar a few other alternatives show up too that are more economical.
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Beautiful pour!! I also love the big canvases!! They are so very exciting and impressing!
Such inspiring color pallet!!
Thank you ❤
Simply stunning Mina! The colors you selected are the best! Great detail and depth! Awesome work! 🥰🎨💐
Love the colours in this one! I was so looking forward to the dried painting because they always look so different dried. I’ll just have to watch the next video 😉 And the vid was fine, outdoorsy noise doesn’t matter to me.
So BEAUTIFUL... you never cease to amaze me!! I'm new at this... only been pouring for a couple of months now and YOUR videos inspire me every day... I check DAILY for new videos!! I've learned a lot from you and would love for you to take a look at my pieces and give me some advice .... 😁 your artwork is AMAZING! just thought you should know. 😉
Hi MJ! I'd love to take a look, you can send me pictures via Messenger 😉
It's amazing, Mina! That just happens to be one of my favorite color pallets too, lol! 😄 Thx for sharing your talent.
Fantasy Pour = "The Paintings Got The Blues" :O)~
Love this one. Where did you get the giant push pins and how big are they?
Hi Hannah! I get them from Amazon
Officemate Giant Push Pins, 1.5" Assorted Colors, 2 Tubs of 12 (92905) www.amazon.com/dp/B07GPQ47F7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_sAyEDbYFA86QX
@@MinaVillegasArt Thanks will get some. I had been using large cup hooks to screw in like Gina Delucca uses. Tired of screwing! Ha
OMG so beautiful! Love the colors and so impressed with the size! You make it look so easy and i know those canvases r heavy when u get all that paint on them! Thank you for sharing!
Another question for you, if where you live and its hot, it takes about 2 to 3 days to dry......i dry inside at about 67 degrees. 1 week, or so?
How much does that pour cup hold?
Gorgeous ❤️💕
What kind of table are you working on and what dementions is it?
Thanks Christine! It's my 10 year old kitchen table, its 54 x 54.. its one of those tall barstool height ones. Good height for me! I think I got it from Living Spaces.. I have it wrapped in 3 layers of thick black heavy duty garbage bag material called "Weather All Polyethylene Sheeting"..
@@MinaVillegasArt cool 👍.. it's a great table!
I always wonder why the paint isn't distributed more evenly over the length of the canvas during most pours. Usually in a little tiny area and then they try to stretch it all over the canvas. ;O)
Wonderful!
Stop tilting it, right now!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Omg i was going to like but there is 666👍6👎so ill wait abit lol little superstitious
Beautiful!!!
