Hi Luci 👋🏽. Of course! Great question 👍🏽. Some verbs are stem changers. That simply means there is a change in the stem in addition to the change in the ending. How do you know a verb is a stem changer? You have to memorize it for now .... eventually it becomes second nature but for now you need to memorize them little by little. For example: empezar and pedir. Once you know it’s a stem changer and which vowel changes, if it’s an e to ie stem changer you will change the e on the stem to ie on all forms except for nosotros and vosotros. That happens in the present tense. The same things if it’s and e to i. You will change it in all forms in the present tense except for nosotros and vosotros. It’ll take some practice recognizing stem changers but the more you practice the easier it’ll be to recall them ;). Hope this helps ;)
