This second season is waaaaaaayyyyyy more interesting and exciting than the first that’s for sure! Love the love hate relationship with our leads.
Yeah, I actually skipped most of the first season and just watched the last four episodes, then watched every bit of the second season. I loved it! I went back to watch the first season, and now this is my second time watching the second season! This season is interesting, but the backstory makes it even more so!

In situations like that between Junhe and Changyi am always angry or hate one of the leads in other dramas but for the first time I understand both characters, I'm glad the second chemistry have made up and ended their tension . Like the way Luo Luo makes that spiritual master go frozen mode like he's lost all his senses and can't speak or react 😂😂😂 .

Finally San Yue and Li Shu fixed their misunderstanding!!! 10:00 I was so touched and teared up. San Yue finally forgave Li Shu. 9:44 - 11:06 was where it hit me. San Yue said lets restart. I wish Chang Yi was able to witness that part of them.
One couple down and 2 more to go! Hopefully Kong Ming and Luo Lou get together too!
24:42 - 25:11 was like Yun He saying farewell to Chang Yi… At least she told him how she finally feels and wanted to say. Have no regrets.

Another beautiful parallel scene was epic epic epic!!from30:13 to 30:50 to when changyi was in the inauguration function,yunhe was attempting to commit suicide, he left to save her such in a hurry, didn't cared abt the ceremony. the scene I imagined in the novel turn into real. How much he loves her.merfolk tracking system to know abt the condition(happy,sad,in pain,angry,even can see each other in closed eyes wt he /she is doing according to the book), of his partner, is mind-blowing, mostly the pain that yunhe is enduring now, he is also enduring it!!. i wish we have in this world too, it is way better than wifi,bcz it is connected with their heart and soul. 33:25 to 34:40 ,these scene r real heartbreaking!!! she tried to kill herself with his hairpin,even tried to make him remember abt the cliff so he could kill her. to the scene btw Changyi and yunhe both r so in pain yunhe wants to die to free herself and Changyi, 34:33 #renJialun hats off, changyi was smiling in pain,
changyi is doing everything in his best only to save yunhe,bt she wants to die even try to convince him to kill her. both can't see each other's pain and how they are both r suffering immensely. I cried like a baby my babies r in pain.😭😭

I think you just don't like severe misunderstandings between couples
Lishu and Sanyue's relationship is alot more simple compared to the main characters
And alot of people prefer romance with little to no misunderstandings that gets resolved easily
They look alot sweeter and cuter compared to complicated ones like chang yi and yunhe's relationship

I think what is going on between our leads is much better because even if they were in good terms as soon as Yunhe finds out that she is going to die she would habe still pushed Cheng yi away.......for me i prefer the misunderstanding which am sure will be resolved oneday to a deliberate push from one of them because of limited life span

Maturity is when u understand he never wanted to cage her but to protect her. He is cold but treating her with patients and just asking for her explanation that he deserved.
The sad thing about this is that Ji Yunhe could end all of the suffering, both hers and Chang Ji's, by doing one simple thing; TELL HIM THE TRUTH.
Even in the previous episode after Chang Ji bound her when she was lying in the snow, she promised she wouldn't run off if he let her walk back by herself, she immediately lied to him and tried to run away. She continuously lies to him thinking she is helping him. If the roles were reversed, how would she feel?
All the people that know the truth about why she did what she did, refuse to tell him thinking it's all for the better when they *know* it's only making things worse. He values one thing above all else....honesty, and they can't even give him that one simple thing.
