    Please give a thumbs up if you like the video :-) It takes a lot of work to create these and I don't earn any money with it at all.
    Here's my initial review about the LatteGo 5400 series coffee machine I recently bought. Please brew about 4 coffees when you start using the machine. I didn't create any chapters for this one because I would highly recommend you to watch the entire thing!
    Then you can really judge about the taste. And please do yourself a favour and spoil yourself by buying a good coffee brand.
    Let me know if you have bought this machine too and what you think about it.
    If you like this video I would be very happy if you could support me with tip: www.buymeacoffee.com/cat3d

    I've had my Philips LatteGo 5400 coming up for a month now. The only problem I've had is the power cable at the back. It worked loose & turned the machine off. But that was only once & I quickly figured what was at fault. I'm enjoying the machine though drinking too much coffee because of it.

      @@H-RutherfordHill I usually drink my coffee with a lot of milk, it's hot enough for my taste. You can adjust milk dosage in every recipe. The foam depends on the recipe. You can not adjust it directly, but the cappucino foam is a bit different from the latte foam, I think. Could be wrong.

      standard measurements for a latte on the 5400 would be 60ml coffee and 140ml milk. and you can up the coffee length to 75 or 90 ml, and milk amount to 200, 270 or 340 ml. I think you don't get those exact ratios on the 4300, but can probably get pretty much the same thing by adjusting the cafe au lait preset, or doing an epresso and then milk froth seperately

    We love your review. It really gets to "the details". We actually did buy this machine, partly because of your review (and partly because Philips made "a good deal", 25% off an okay pricetag). We also feel lucky, that we did buy a Philips and not a Delonghi. Mainly because we later discovered that the Delonghi wasn't very "intuitive", in normal situations, where the Philips can handle many of these situations - due to better rhought-out UI-programming!)
    We do, however miss a touch-display, and like you, we miss navigation scrolling without repeated key-presses.
    PS: We have gotten 1 (the included) used-water tray exchanged through Philips support - because of a small hole, causing it to leak water - so if anyone has problems with water leaking,it can be due to this!

    • @choschiba
      @choschiba  Před 3 lety

      Thank you so much for your nice post 😊 Mine doesn’t have any water leaking. Can’t understand how this could happen as my tray is made out of thick rigid plastic. 🤔
      Who knows if they might offer a Pro version with a touch display one day. But I guess that would increase the price a bit.

    • @Vores-Faelles14
      @Vores-Faelles14 Před 3 lety

      @@choschiba also my thought. The only explanation I have for the hole, is that the tray has weak/thin spots. I can send pictures of the hole and tray, if you want it (when discovering the water-leakage, I thought that I would need pictures, to document this strange fault to Philips (and to help them improve their design), but the person didn't want this). Again, our second tray, is not leaking - so maybe it is a "one and only" case. But it did make us think: "what if other "design-flaws" exists inside the machine - and we later will experience water/grind-leakings? [so far, we have decided to pay for an extra insurance, securing us 4-years of use - which then hopefully will cover us, if other design-flaws etc. surface!)]

    • @Vores-Faelles14
      @Vores-Faelles14 Před 3 lety

      (the hole: is quite small - and as such, it wasn't leaking all the time! .. 3 days passed, after installing the machine, before water leaked - and when we "(immediately) tested to find the leaking-cause" the leaking stopped before the tray did empty! (strange, because when I discovered the leak in the morning, the tray was all emptied from water!).. And, it was first when we put light from a pocket-flashlight, that we saw "light coming in", and could "see" the hole ... funny though, is that the hole is "at bottom-level" .. so water should leak "all the time" / after the first day! ... but, pressure etc. could be an explanation). ... [And, as a positive thing, such a fault will/should show itself quickly - and we didn't have the machine on a wooden-table ... so no damage, in our case! .. and machine-warranty is then a sure thing! ... but I did have to go through all the "standard-questions" by a sceptical support-worker! (have you "over-filled the tray"?, "did you wave it, while removing water?", "have you over-filled the water-tank?", etc. etc..)..]

    • @Vores-Faelles14
      @Vores-Faelles14 Před 3 lety

      Ensuring against water-damage: After this experience, we luckily found a tray, that measures appr. 35x50cm, which secures us from any water-leakage to the kitchen table, from the machine (up to appr. 0,5L).
      The solution could be "better looking", .. but a solution was needed! ... and the metal-tray makes "the coffee-place" look "industrial" or like we have a "coffee-shop" ..
      And, daily use is now a breeze .., for instance "taking out the tray" and "putting in the water-tank" - without worrying about spillage ....

      @@amkprofile Здравейте Александър. Много съм доволна от машината. В къщи сме големи любители на кафето и си търсехме нещо ,което да задоволи нуждите ни-хем хубаво едпресо,хубаво мляко за капучино хем сами да избираме какво кафе ще пием. Пяната за кафето става много креместа и хубава. Съветът ми е да използвате стандартно прясно мляко ,а не тези които ги водят “истински” от малки млекарници като Вършец-не става пяна с тях,което е доста странно. Ако използвате разтителни млека ползвайте тези на които пише barista.
      Относно кафето-гледайте да е малко по-висок клас ,защото ако е по-евтините арабика те са “мазни” и стоят самите сърна лъскави,а това пречи в един момент на мелачката.
      Иначе за почистването-на 3-4 месеца я почиствам ,има таблетки на Phillips .
      Ако изпускам нещо пишете.

    Hi I have a question...
    I have the 3200 machine.. Great machine, but it annoys me quite a bit when it runs out of water... The machine starts to make the drink anyway, but then pauses in the middle of the drink of the water is missing.. Sometimes it restarts after water refill, sometimes it doesnt.. and when it doesnt, then I have to abandon and make the drink from the beginning... So thats a waste of money.. So My question is.. This 5400 model, Does it give a warning before it starts making the drink, if the water level is low ? or does it just stop in the middle when brewing, as the old one does ?

    • @choschiba
      @choschiba  Před 3 lety

      It also stops in the middle of the preparation and tells you to add water. But then it resumes to finish it. Only if you have stepped away and didn’t recognize it in a certain amount of time the machine won’t resume after adding water anymore. I guess that’s okay because then the coffee wouldn’t taste good anymore.

    • @choschiba
      @choschiba  Před 2 lety

      I think 8.5oz would be better. In order to create a chilled coffee with a milk foam topping I guess would be best to create a bunch of espresso which you cool down in the fridge. Then you put one espresso serving in one of those cups and run the milk foam program on top of it. You will have to test the amount of milk foam until you are happy with the size of the end product and the taste. Normally you add some ice cubes. The longer you wait after producing the milk foam, the more the foam will collapse. I have personally never tried something like that. But now you made me curious.

      @@dumdumreviews7436 i have Jura Z8 for 4 years now and its very good machine, good quality. It needs to be cleaned often but its very easy. Newer machines have cleaning tables and it cleans machine from inside itself so yes i think they worth it. You can do more research.
