I hope you love this vid! This hat took me 4 hours to make! Also this can deffo be done in a single crochet if you want to do that!
For this project I used about 75-90g (about 2/3 of each ball) of cotton aran yarn from yarn and colours epic in the colours pearl, white and papaya!!

Ch 4, sl st in the first chain
1: Hdc 6 in the middle of your round (7), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
2: ch 2, 2 hdc in every st (14), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
3: ch 2, 1 hdc, 1 increase (21), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
4: ch 2, 2 hdc, 1 increase (28), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
5: ch 2, 3 hdc, 1 increase (35) , sl st in the third chain from the bottom
6: ch 2, 4 hdc, 1 increase (42), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
7: ch 2, 5 hdc, 1 increase (49) sl st in the third chain from the bottom
8: ch 2, 6 hdc, 1 increase (56), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
9: ch 2, 7 hdc, 1 increase (63) , sl st in the third chain from the bottom
10: ch 2, 8 hdc, 1 increase (70), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
11: ch 2, 9 hdc, 1 increase (77) , sl st in the third chain from the bottom
12: ch 2, 10 hdc, 1 increase (84), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
Measure if its 8 inches across
From rounds 13-22 you will place 1 hoc int0 every space (no increasing) - when completed these rounds will equal 3,5 inches
23: ch 2, 11 hdc, 1 increase (91) FRONT LOOP ONLY, sl st in the third chain from the bottom
24: ch 2, *12 hdc, 1 increase (98), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
25: ch 2, *13 hdc, 1 increase (105), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
26: ch 2, *14 hdc, 1 increase (112), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
27: ch 2, *15 hdc, 1 increase (119), sl st in the third chain from the bottom
28: ch 2, 1 hdc in every stitch (119), sl st in the third chain from the bottom

i just bought a ball of cotton rainbow yarn qnd decided to make a crochet bucket hat! ive never crocheted before!😁😁 im sure this us gonna help me alot though! i have more than enough yarn so i think im going to unwind it, cut it up and rewind it into its individual colours. then i will knit one colour each round from red to purple, then start at red again. thanks for the nice tutorial, this will be immensly useful!

Hi! I love this pattern! I was wondering if for the circle parts is the 8 inches in U.S. measurements?
Hi! Yep the 8 inches would be a regaular 8 inches or 20 cm x
So i want to make this into a solid color.. is that possible? I’m trying to follow along just without switching colors but it’s a bit difficulty since you start in different areas . Should i just follow exactly what you do without changing my color?
You could do that or you could just slip stitch into the 3rd chain from the bottom, chain 2 and then continue on from there, starting the new row without tying off !
this is lovely!! 🌞🧡 how could I prevent the bigger/noticeable holes from forming when I increase? 🤕
They will become less noticable when you complete the row and also when the hat is starting to come together more with more and more rows! It is only very noticable at the beginning! Are you using a 4mm hook? x
@@emmapcrochet I am using a 4mm hook! I actually wasn't referring to your pattern as I havent tried it yet 😂 I've made a couple of hats from another pattern and the holes make me so sad haha. Thank you for your response and I cannot wait to try this pattern out, it's so pretty ☺

hi, I have been trying for literally the past 24 hours to get past the first circle step. I feel like I am doing something so wrong. everything just looks so wrong especially by the slipknot. I also can't really see like my stitches that well and it just doesn't look correct the way yours does. idk how many times I have been repeating the same step over and over. please help:(
