Right?? But it's also understandable as they are academics and writers... but it is still a lot of books ha... I never asked them if they had actually read them all... In any case the place has been sold last winter/spring to a lovely gay couple. I'm sure that the people that saw the place and didn't make an offer will be regretting it in years to come. I wish I could have bought it. :-)

The area is good for ethnic cuisine. I think it was some sort of a warehouse.
It was actually the old washing house for all of the linens from the trains at the Gare du Nord just nearby. Yes, excellent ethnic food in the area!!
the house is giving university professor with intelligent 2 kids plus 1 radical kid who's long been wanting to move out from parents house kind of vibe
That's practically it!! 2 smart kids but one that might grow up as you describe ha. The family moved to Florence, Italy afterward, the husband being Italian. The whole family spoke English, French and Italian fluently. Listening to the kids speak Italian was cute.
All I can say is wow! This house even blew away my expectations of what my dream house in Paris should be like. It's simply stunning. As a book lover, this place is Valhalla. I just hope those new owner's renovations don't take away it's magical characteristics. Thank you for showing this. I just have a question for you. Which arrondissement is this house in?

Wonderful video but it’s so tiny. For CZcams shoot it horizontally at full resolution so people can see it. Wonderful property and a wonderful description.

Robert Tycen Paris Properties Yes the image is small and you can’t make it bigger. I just watched your Gervais 1930s townhouse video and it’s the same problem. The intro when you’re outside looks great but then when you go inside the camera or the phone is made vertical and it’s a very small image that won’t enlarge on my tablet. But again the intro to that video was perfect.

Amazing place for Paris. It almost seems like it’s in the country. One question though, how do you get your car into that garage? I assume the big metal gate opens right the way up but the driveway seems so narrow.
Hello! Thank you for your comment and question. The garage is much larger than it seems and houses several cars for the buildings around it, and therefore there is plenty of room to move around once inside. :-) The house in question (which has been sold now) has 2 designated places within that larger garage with the possibility to close it off as well. But again, plenty of room inside to pull the car out and drive in.
Hello!! Well it looks more narrow than it really is, but it is narrow ha. The door opens all the way up and there is room to get around once inside. Great question thanks. It is like being in the country!

I'll check it out thanks, ha.... It sold a couple months ago!! But not right away... I had to show it about 15 times or more... those that didn't make an offer will regret it in 5 years... the whole area is gentrifying.
How do academics afford a €2.2M home? Lol. And all those books!!! Awesome home! So big! Didn’t know Paris had such things. Assumed everyone lived in 10 sqm closets with kitchen washing machines. 😂. I should visit someday.
Same thing in the US coasts more than 2.2M euros. Paris is full with surprises, in the area where I live 16th arr you can find bigger but guess more expensive.

Personally, I would reconfigure the house. Make the huge kids room on the first floor into the master bedroom and turn the guest room next door into closets and master bath.

Gare du Nord?, I don't care how hidden it is. When you step outside of that gate, it is one of the worst places to walk at night or daytime.
