That's practically it!! 2 smart kids but one that might grow up as you describe ha. The family moved to Florence, Italy afterward, the husband being Italian. The whole family spoke English, French and Italian fluently. Listening to the kids speak Italian was cute.
The problem is the area, the streets around are unsafe, full of junkies and illigal migrants

Amazing place for Paris. It almost seems like it’s in the country. One question though, how do you get your car into that garage? I assume the big metal gate opens right the way up but the driveway seems so narrow.
Hello! Thank you for your comment and question. The garage is much larger than it seems and houses several cars for the buildings around it, and therefore there is plenty of room to move around once inside. :-) The house in question (which has been sold now) has 2 designated places within that larger garage with the possibility to close it off as well. But again, plenty of room inside to pull the car out and drive in.
Hello!! Well it looks more narrow than it really is, but it is narrow ha. The door opens all the way up and there is room to get around once inside. Great question thanks. It is like being in the country!

Gare du Nord?, I don't care how hidden it is. When you step outside of that gate, it is one of the worst places to walk at night or daytime.
Hello! Thank you for your comment, but It’s not that bad at all and you also have an entrance on rue de l’aqueduc…. and… AND…it’s an excellent investment. The sellers made Capitol gains of 700.000€ in 7 years. That’s not negligible.

All I can say is wow! This house even blew away my expectations of what my dream house in Paris should be like. It's simply stunning. As a book lover, this place is Valhalla. I just hope those new owner's renovations don't take away it's magical characteristics. Thank you for showing this. I just have a question for you. Which arrondissement is this house in?

Right?? But it's also understandable as they are academics and writers... but it is still a lot of books ha... I never asked them if they had actually read them all... In any case the place has been sold last winter/spring to a lovely gay couple. I'm sure that the people that saw the place and didn't make an offer will be regretting it in years to come. I wish I could have bought it. :-)

Hello!! Yes of course, it all depends on budget, and the size of your family etc. But you definitely don't have to be a millionaire. It's always a good idea to rent something in the beginning to see if you really like it, want to live in Paris. :-)

Do people "stage" homes in Paris, as they do in US? (Actually, I think staging started in CA.) This home would benefit from that. Put outdoor furniture on deck to emphasize it's another living room. Personal opinion: I would paint red brick exterior to match upper floors. That would make the entire building more cohesive. Nice job, Robert Tycen Hauser.
Hello! It's not as common as it is in the USA, but they do do it sometimes, and with an apartment that is already empty. As it is this lovely lady has lived there with her husband for some 17 years and difficult to get rid of a lot of the clutter... It would be nice to even get it empty, so that people could use their imaginations for their own deco!
My thoughts exactly. Could be more enticing to have staged it a little, hard to see through the clutter. Lovely balcony/terrace.
@@huub1989 The real selling point is the terrace for sure, and more rare in Paris. The people live there so it's kind of delicate to suggest it, and because it is not such a French thing... Imagination is key, ha or just imagining it empty. It's a great space however! ... and interesting neighbourhood.

Robert Tycen Paris Properties Yes the image is small and you can’t make it bigger. I just watched your Gervais 1930s townhouse video and it’s the same problem. The intro when you’re outside looks great but then when you go inside the camera or the phone is made vertical and it’s a very small image that won’t enlarge on my tablet. But again the intro to that video was perfect.
