"Dark Litanies of Terra" is a set of seven priestly chantings dedicated to the cradle of Humanity. Deep bassy monastic voices coming from the enormous Cathedrals spread the message of Deliverance and Truth. The chants transmit the distant atmosphere of dark future - the gothic worlds of Man are in peril, and the lodge-masters seek to unify the fallen cults in the name of Pax Imperatorum. Immense and ancient giant statues, once a display of might and glory, now stand dilapidated upon the grey skies, awaiting the repentance of the ones who strayed from the Holy path of Eternal Providence. At the forgotten Monastery, the dominus-priest gathers his disciples to await the dawning of the red moon.

This album is partially and indirectly inspired by the fascinating Warhammer 40,000 universe and lore. It may as well serve as a soundtrack when reading the literature/playing the game/praying to the Emperor or pondering about the Grimdark future. @@haroonmohammed6351 Dark Ages are an enlightenment era myth. It should be regarded as a Golden Age of technological, scientific and religious revival. The term dark age was invented years after by philosophers who wanted to demonise that era of history because it goes against their worldview. It's also a buzz word used by anti religious types and the like.
I actually think they're called the Dark Ages because there isn't a whole lot of information from that period. But that's what I learned, I could be wrong. Either way, I don't think reverting back to the old ways of Christianity would do any good. Bribing for tithes, ignoring those who need care and sanctuary (more so than is already done now), and if you had any sort of knowledge or looked different, you would be considered a witch or a monster, then tortured and burned, or tarred and feathered. Old men running everything (much like today). It just doesn't sound like a fun time to me.

This playlist reminds me of the otherworldy shadows and glowing orbs I used to see in my room at night when I was little. I wasn't afraid. I was mesmerized and mystified. They didn't feel evil or dangerous. The countryside house was built in a neighborhood near a cemetery, but it wasn't creepy like you'd expect. It felt more peaceful, especially when the moonlight touched the glass on the door. Thank you for reminding me.

It's so beautiful. When you look at the stars and you are carried away so far that your very existence seems negligible against the backdrop of the universe. Especially when you hear this. As if the voices are not people, but the stars themselves in the arms of eternal emptiness. I don't believe in gods, but such beautiful music makes me look up into the sky and imagine green gardens and the clearest sea not far from the coast.
