Yeah like I've commented on a vid few months ago, I legit sometimes feel bad for the amount of bullying he gets lmao, it's entertaining asf though
amazing how spoiled this chat is, these cave trolls don't have the slightest idea of how physically exhausting skateboarding is. try jumping 5 times per minute for twenty minutes and see for yourself why he got tired fast. it takes some months to build stamina and muscle mass to skate for long periods
also, you can easily see he was an intermediate skater. kickflips and tres seems basic but actually can take even years to get on lock... I've been training kickflips for two months and I'm not even close to landing them. he's actually very decent
@@gustavogoesgomes1863 i feel your pain man. practiced for almost 2 months and couldnt even land a sketchy kickflip. Now through winter i didnt skate at all, putting me even further behind. Skating as a smaller hobby is really hard to become good at

but I'm enjoying it a lot, skating is stylish as F and eventually I'll get it, what I can tell you about the kickflip is to learn to land/catch with only the back foot and landing/catching only with the front foot. I'm trying this way for the last days and I feel like I'm improving a lot... also, pay attention to your shoulders AND hips. always avoid turning your body during the motion
As a long time skater, you can tell xQc was pretty solid at one point. His knees, arms, and height of each pop shows he knows how to orchestrate the board.

@@faizanhassan4406thats not why. The two are surprisingly very different sports. The only thing that would help you if you do go from one to another would be the balancing aspect. A pro snowboarder would have to spend just as much time landing a kick flip
I love the energy that everyone has at the skate park. It’s so natural and neighborly. It’s like everyone is in a big supportive friendship once you step in.
Sometimes there's some dumb shit that makes skateparks a bit toxic but 99% of the people there just want to enjoy the infrastructure to skate without being harassed by security like they would skating on the street, they're just happy to have space most of the time they're so nice about sharing equipment and encouraging new people too.
Though I'm not from America so take it with a grain of salt (Australian skate culture may differ)

I’ve got mad respect for skaters. Being able to land or even attempt most tricks is wild. You know it’s a result of some gnarly falls and countless hours.
We sorta Learn to get over the fear and learn to fall properly after a While so It's a matter of dedication and experience after that cause a lot of tricks share the same building blocks

I guarantee a bunch of skaters were pissed looking at the chat while xqc was failing to kick flip, Cause getting the flick down and even being able to make the board flip is hell in and of itself, Even though he wasn't landing it it wasn't all that bad.
after years, relearning kickflip is hella hard, I took a 6 month break and got it after like 1 week. Years of break is crazy to almost get it on the first try and chat acting like they can do a kickflip damn
@@fortnitefortnite2916 It took me a year to learn how to Ollie and 3 months to learn kickflips, Most people think that both tricks are incredibly easy but they certainly aren't. I guarantee 90% of chat would give up in the first month of skating.

Not really an xQc viewer, but of course I know a bunch about him simply based off of how popular he is, but this video was a genuine pleasure to watch and I may start watching him more because of it. I really hope he gets back into skating as 1) it's healthy 2) he's outside more 3) he enjoys it and 4) it makes for really nice content!!

love the content! I hate it when people at skate shops now try to tell you a specific size is going to be "too narrow". Skated every day from like 1997 until 2010 and ALWAYS ran between a 7.625" or 7.75". Went to buy my first board like 6 months ago (haven't skated since like 2015) and had the same conversation with the guy at the shop about how it was too narrow. Just because sizes have changed over the years doesn't mean that's what people are used to...
