My daughter has cystic fibrosis and this is one of the devices she was given to use, in US called an acepella. But what worked the best for her to clear mucus was a simple saline breathing treatment. They found Austrialian surfers with CF had better lung function , so was included in regular treatments, it helped a lot and was not too expensive. Hope this helps.
I want to share with you. My daughter was put on a CF med for having very thick mucus. She doesn't have CF but gets that kind of mucus she has asthma. I want to share the name of the med incase you didn't know? It helped my daughter tremendously. (Pulmozyme®) is an inhaled medication that thins mucus. Sometimes referred to as a mucolytic or DNase, dornase alfa acts like scissors by cutting up the long DNA strands contained in white blood cells. The peds Dr said it's like a pair of scissors that cuts the mucus and makes it much easier to bring it up. They also have percussion vest as well. She no longer needs that med she grew out of her condition. Her Dr said after all the testing she had never seen a case like hers before. Take care I hope this helps? Also the med was extremely expensive but that was back in the late 90's. Take care.
Bless you Joe , its always nice to see you x
oh my, lol.... just happy to hear your voice, Joe you are a treat! Happy Thanksgiving from Toronto!xxxx
let it be May
I still have my respirator thingie I was given after my thyroidectomy. It was hell on my neck stitches but it definitely helped. I even used it while I had COVID to get the crud out.
Hilarious dry humour, I love it! If you can cough and take a shower….lol
The idea behind that thing is great, but I'd rather go with the more expensive ones or steam tbh.
Best wishes! o7
Interesting. I remember the hospital providing something for mucus after surgery a few years ago. It was a bigger device. This device looks like an improvement.
Thank you for the review.
I wonder how the efficacy this device(e) compares to just wiggling the side of your finger up and down on your lips as you breathe out. My fingers even come with lanyards called arms, but I know this is not true for every person.
all the best
Did you try the N-Acetyl Cysteine?
They might want to work on that name a bit.
Poe the professional product testing puddy cat?
Wait what... it comes with a lanyard... that makes all the difference!
Refreshingly honest review (not that I expected anything less). 👍
Also I'm loving that T-shirt! 💙
Poe really knows his mucus reliever lung expanders!
Ouch expensive - The sound reminds me of Steve Austin - Six Million Dollar man, when he lifts a heavy weight.
Hey Joe, what cenote is that behind you??
I can't remember the name of this particular one but it was as part of a trip to Chichen Itza after visiting a Mayan village we went there to cool off and have lunch.
Ur going back brown xx
“I just did a review of something that i bought” 😂😂😂😂
I reckon all it does is make you concentrate on your breathing, and that is what helps? Just a theory, based on absolutely no medical qualifications.
🧡🎃🧡
I thought it goes into the throat lol
I wonder if the med I'll drop here could help? It's for CF but my daughter had weird mucus and needed help for her asthme she had CF mucus but didnt have CF. This stuff made it much easier to bring the mucus up. ((((Pulmozyme®))) is an inhaled medication that thins mucus. Sometimes referred to as a mucolytic or DNase, dornase alfa acts like scissors by cutting up the long DNA strands contained in white blood cells.
The issue is my multiple lung tumours obstructing my airway, this causes a build up overnight. A nebulizer would really be most effective.
