I was a student when he visited our school. I was very fortunate to have attended his lecture. I was even more fortunate as I was one of the students announcers in that event which means I get to shake his hands. I will never ever forget that moment. Doctor APJ...

wow!!! i had d only n only desire to meet him in person but when he passed away i felt struck from d inside...my 1st ever dream became unfulfilled for ever.
Kalam always kept his promise. Once he told that he wish to die as a teacher. Being a scientist he also loved teaching profession. While giving a lecture in an institute he took his last breath. Two hours before kalam's death, he was thanking a soldier as was standing for two and half hour to give security to kalam. The soldier replied to kalam " sir i can stand a whole day for you". Kalam sir we all miss you.

I do not believe I read that in his autobiography. However, there is a portion where he mentions that he did go there for six months for a training programme on Sounding Rockets. I think you should verify this fact from "Wings of Fire". This information might also be available through Google search.

About time! The world needs to hear about his story. He was a true inspiration to all kids my age growing up. Also, he used to give free lessons to underprivileged children whenever he had time.

U know i hv met him in real life.. He had come to our city for a science conference and i was a part of it.. I was 14 years old... He was so humble and godly.. I still considered that day one of the best moments of my life.... The day he died it hit me hard cz i was a fan.. I still am.. He asked us about our dreams/aspirations and advised us to never stop dreaming big and work hard to make them a reality! When I was 10 years old, I got to meet APJ and take a picture with him. I didn’t even know that much about him but I could just feel he has so much poise about him. I was in awe and could cry but my heart was also beating so fast to see this man in person. You could just feel that you are in the presence of someone so smart and yet so humble and gentle. He carried this soft smile. I couldn’t even utter a word because it just felt like he had so much knowledge and wisdom, it was almost overwhelming but it didn’t match his kind behavior to everyone else around him.
I warned u before, a day will come u won't be able to cope up with the requests, n now u made the list. It's 1.35 bn people here, u can't satisfy everybody. Pls don't exhaust urself doing it. Do it if ur enjoying it or leave it. And APJ cant be explained in a 10 min video guys, it didn't even touch an inch of him.

There are just so many things about him that cannot be summarised easily. His reach to the citizens and his philosophies were out of the world. Dr.APJ & Swami Vivekananda are like those very very few people to have graced our planet who literally have _zero_ haters. July 27 2015...I wont ever forget the date...because its the Day I got my 1st salary...I was out of the world then suddenly heard abt Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The whole World stopped right there. I was in the bus on my way to work but tears couldnt be stopped. That moment I wont ever forget. For me he was the greatest Indian ever. The only Muslim whom no Hindu ever hated. Man of the Millennium. RIP sir. Proud to be born in the same country as yours.

He is truly the kind of man who should be in politics to serve the country. He served his country in everyway possible keeping very little for himself from whatever he earned. Even after leaving his post as President of India he served his country by visiting universities, schools and places everywhere possible throughout the country at that age to guide, motivate and inspire young people whom he very much liked and believed can change the future of nation. one thing they forget to mention was, at the time of his death his sole property was his 2500 books,his cloths and few month salary that he donated(few thousand rupees).

The video has not even scratched the surface, he was way more than this. I certainly don't have words to describe him but I think you should know following 3 facts too :-
1. Even after all those awards and achievements he had no riches, he still used to live in his ancestral home which is roughly 450 square feet (15X30 sq. ft.). Furthermore after his sad demise his house has been converted into a museum and there is no entry fee to visit this place.
2. He used to say 'always dream big' i.e., even when you know that it out of your reach still don't stop dreaming because to achieve something big in life you have to start dream about it first.
3. He was and still is very famous amongst Children, he had a website where he used to answer all the queries put up by scholars, be it a 1st grade student, a high school graduate or an engineer or a Scientist. He had this open platform where anyone could ask for his guidance and he would try to answer them all.

He was even offered to continue the Presidency but he refused and wanted others to also get this opportunity. The list is very very long.
