- This dog looked into a storm drain every day, and when it was finally opened people were shocked to see what was inside. In lots of countries, stray dogs are a common occurrence. But, it was one dog in particular that fascinated people by his actions. When a young woman called Annie came across a stray dog, she instantly felt sorry for him and began to feed him every day. One day, she followed the dog to see what he got up to and found him staring into a storm drain. When the young woman looked inside though, she was shocked to see what was down there. This actually didnt happen there were no kittens in there the guy made it up. Yes the dog was there but when the firefighters opened the thing there was nothing in there.
Always pay attention to what your animal is trying to tell you. They see ,hear ,feel more than we do. What a gift. Love that the pup now has a home!

I always pay attention and it actually saved me from Snake bite. My puppy was barking continuosly while I was watering the plants early on a Sunday morning ... I turned-back telling Puppy to stop barking ..... still, he continued.. Then suddenly something moved in the grass about a meter infront of me & was shocked to see a snake with its hood up ! I ran for safety ... Since then I always give attention when puppies bark !!

I did my best for him, and show him love . ❤ He was Awesome, He played peek a boo. And I rarely get company, I'm old, BUT He was perfect company. Wish I had let him sit in my lap more tho. I was Constantly up and down - Always stuff ta do. He got injured and it wasn't gonna heal, and I couldn't afford the vet care and room n board. He was suuuuuch a Handsome feller. And SO Very Sweet.

Cause this is just a fake story. In a fictional story everybody can be a princess. The actual story is that the dog is indeed were watching the storm drain everyday and there were firefighters. But actually the dog was just watching a mouse inside the drain. There were no kittens at all. Read it in the turkey local news.

Animals have more compassion then people. That's why I love more than people. They forgiving, gentle, and so smart. They open their hearts without asking for gratification. These stories stay close to my heart
The dog's stomach was growling. He was clearly hungry, but he still made sure to share what he had, with the 5 kittens, and managed to keep them all well-fed to not be unhealthy! This is complex, high level thinking being done by a dog! They are SO much smarter than we give them credit for. And it goes without saying that they are so much kinder than we are.

One of the most important things in this world without a doubt is perspective. A homeless dog knows the value of a meal, much like our own species that perspective breeds compassion, especially with those that can’t help themselves. It’s unfortunate we judge others so quickly without having walked in their shoes, and this dog has more humanity than we do at times. This is an amazing story.

If a city is going to allow strays to wander freely about, the city should take responsibility to see to it that these animals have proper inoculations. Spaying and neutering should be paid for by the government that allows this freedom also! Who takes responsibility for them when they are injured or sick,or injure someone? This is a very cute idea, but the total impracticality of the situation it creates is so ridiculously unfair for the dogs and people! I hope someone recognizes the huge downside of this!

What a heartwarming story.
I don't have anymore animals living with me but I still love them !! My 88 year old mother and I take care of humming birds every year. She makes the nectar, sugar and water and I put the nectar in their feeders !! They are our babies !! We miss them when they go south 😢 but look forward to their return every spring and summer then we send them off with plenty of nectar to make it to their next destination in the fall!! @@annheatherton It would be better if you, who is claiming this to be a fake rescue, provided the proof. It's not up to anyone else to prove there was nothing there. It's up to you. But I highly doubt the dog would repeatedly stare and wait at a storm drain for absolutely nothing.

While I won't deny that scenes like this are possible in nature, the truly sad part about this is that except for the dog staring into drains, everything else is fake.
Yes the dog stared into the storm drains everyday and yes firemen came to look but they found nothing. They checked every drain with cameras, nothing out of the ordinary found.
The local shop owners claim that the dog behaves that way cause he once caught a mouse coming out of a storm drain so he checks on them in hope that another one may appear.

Miss my Bella she was homeless with me. But had her 7 years before we became homeless during pandemic. I lost her last year do to extreme Texas heat. She was all I had and she was so much more to me then just a dog. She was my happiness and my inspiration to find a way to keep making life what we could make it. It's almost been a year and I still cry.❤

It really is something else, Something else indeed....Both selfless and sometimes selfish both brutal and sometimes beautiful. As we just watched a stray selfless dog share it's meal with a pack of trapped kittens. Somewhere In African on the Savannah a pack of selfish wild dogs just stole a dead Gazelle that a hunting lioness's brutally killed to feed her family. But then she went back to the pride told the big maned male lion and then he went on to go kill those dogs and retrieve the prides meal so they all don't die of starvation. Now the leaders of the pack of the wild dogs are dead and their pups are going to be picked off by some Hyena's because no one's there to protect them. Something else indeed....

This story illustrates the compassionate need for a spay and neuter program so animals don't have to vie for places to live, food to eat, water to drink and so many of them don't wind up homeless and struggling to live every single day. A range of emotions i felt as i watched. Pain and sorrow for the dog, the attentiveness and caring of this woman, the joy of the kittens being rescued, and the loving care and expense this woman incurred caring for these pets. @@sarah06ish That is actually not as sad as you believe. Except for a few of the wild species (like lions) felines are not herding animals. They are individualists and have no specific desire to live with others of their own kind, except for a very brief moment when mating or when females nurture their kittens. Other than that they don't particularly care for other cats. We've had cats for 50 years, and sometimes 3 at a time, and sometimes you see two that accept each other where the third actually feels ostracized by the two other cats, or you see three cats that all hate each other. Sometimes you can get extremely lucky and have two cats that live happily together, but when one dies, they don't react like dogs and walk around for months where you can tell it feels something important is missing. We compare it to the human feeling of grief, but it's not, but you can tell on the dog something isn't quite right for the first couple of months when it keeps looking for its pal. Cats are different. We've tried having a cat die suddenly, and its twin sister was actually a little tinier than her brother, and she went sniffing his normal sleeping spot on the sofa the first day, but after that, she acted like he never existed. Actually - however harsh it may sound - she actually lived up so much and became a much "happier" cat once she had all the attention and so much more space to herself. Her twin brother was a bit of a bully, so she was quite pleased to suddenly have the house to herself. Right now, we only have her, and since she's now twelve, we'll wait to get a couple of kittens until she passes away because she's never felt better than the last 5-6 years where she's been the only cat in the "castle". She is also an outdoor cat, but she's a bit the shy type and quite tiny, so she will quickly end at the bottom of the pecking order. So she doesn't stray too much and more or less sticks to our garden, and when cats from the neighbourhood pass through our garden, she hisses at them and then she turns around and projectile back home, flying through the cat flap with a bang, as she "hisses louder than she bites", so she is quite happy to sit with us on the balcony on the second floor where she can sit and throne over the garden in a safe distance and hiss at other cats, squirrels, birds and whatnot, who don't give a rats ass about her hissing. She "feels" very dangerous, but obviously, the other animals in the garden don't think so, which is a bit sweet and hilarious at the same time.
I do not know the kittens from the story, obviously, but rest assured that no matter whether they lived happily together or not, they have now all forgotten about their former siblings, and it's only because we think like humans (which you can hear I also do myself) we forget animals are different. But it's a totally natural reaction, and I would also want such kittens to live together happily ever after, so it's not that I don't understand you.

After traveling to Istanbul, Turkey I fell in love with the city and how they let all the stray dogs and cats walk free. On every corner, people created a tiny house for them and all the people helped out with food and all the animals were very friendly. I am sure they are some cruel creatures called "humans" here and there that might hurt them but in comparison to other countries, the majority live free in a loving environment in the city. They are all vaccinated and neutered with city tags. 😍😍😍😍😍😍

Having been a vet tech for over 14 years, I have seen it all. Some people would come in, and it would be very obvious, that they didn’t treat their animals very well. When we would do the, routine, exams and, sometimes, talk to the animals, the person would ask why. We would tell them that the animal was frightened and we wanted to reassure it that everything was ok. The owner would, then, say why?-“they don’t have feelings.” It was all that the vet, or myself, could do to contain ourselves from treating the person the way that they were treating their “animal” as they saw it. So many animals, no matter their breed, i.e. birds, etc, show a lot more empathy towards their, fellow, friends, including humans, than we do. We could learn a lot from them if we choose to.

How an animal is so selfless while struggling to live on its own as a stray is truly astonishing and just shows to be that a little bit of care and importance given to those kittens go a long way. Animals are so unpredictable and full of surprises!

This is so heart warming. Seems like something my dog would do (she absolutely loves small animals like kittens). That dog was on its own trying to find food etc, and despite the poor dog being hungry himself he still shared half of his food with the five baby kittens. I love animals so much, they are so kind, more kind then most people nowadays

amazing thing is that he shared his foods with the kittens to keep them alive or from starving even when he was a stray dog and didn't have enough to feed himself. Wow, how wonderful is that!!! Bravo to Annie also, who has a good heart to feed the dog and came to get help for rescuing the kittens from danger. I am so happy and thank God that the dog and kittens are saved to a good home.
