    Great review! I just ordered HH’s standard Puller Pro V2 2200kv to replace my CC Slate 2850kv in my Bomber. I want more smooth bottom-end control. I’ve been running the Mamba X over the years in multiple rigs and I freakin’ love the tuning abilities of this ESC! BTW...you don’t have to spend $50 on on the “Castle B-link” in order to take full advantage of this ESC. Castle Creations actually sends you a voucher for a FREE “Castle Link” with the purchase of their Mamba X. The Castle Link is a USB cable that’s run from your ESC to your laptop or pc for tuning. If you have to tune from your phone app though...sorry, you’ll have to drop $50 on B-Link. Also, I heard the Castle B-Link features are limited in comparison to the Castle Link. I could be wrong though...

      As of now your able to do exactly everything you can do on the regular castle "Link" with the B-Link i have both and prefer the B-LINK Over the regular "pc" link 🤘but either way great product 👍

      Tekin what? Motor? I run a complete Tekin rx4 esc paired up to the Tekin roc412 1800kv Motor with the hot wire 3.0 so tuning is a breeze 👌 and the Tekin system is top of the line in everything i have no complaints and ive ran every brushless system out, have an axe system in my trx4 and a castle mamba x with holmes hobbies puller pro v2 2700kv stubby in my capra 4ws, and the Tekin system in my comp rig

    Use the auxiliary wire to adjust your drag break ...on my crawlers I do this and on my bashers I use torque control .....I like my Castle and Holmes stuff I have this in almost all my rcs I did follow the band wagon and buy Hobbywing AXE not real impressed but it works well ..I like using 4s on my crawlers both brushed and brushless....

    I’ve been thinking about jumping the gun with going brushless. Couple of concerns though: 1-cost 2- battery life 3- if I do get one, which kv motor to get. Seems most of these are sold out through amain and rpphobby.

    • @RCReviewChannel
      @RCReviewChannel  Před 4 lety +5

      Battery life is 25% better since brushless is more efficient than brushed. For KV, the most comon is 2700kv for good balance of top speed and low-end torque. 2300kv has more torque and 3300kv has more speed.

    Just finished the ifs element enduro sendero kit and I've been torn between this setup and the axe combo. I have 5 axe combos already and just not sure I can stray. This video was great, but not very convincing for me to make the switch. Plus having to spend extra $50 for the Bluetooth module and also if I remember correctly it only works on iPhone. I will NEVER be an iPhone user. Also the noise.. I like the silence from the axe. Keep up the great videos!!

    • @ConditionZero76
      @ConditionZero76 Před 4 lety

      Sidewinder 4 isn't made for crawlers its not a sensored ESC , you cant program anything on it, you need a Sensored ESC (Mamba X/Monster X) with a Sensored capable motor such as Holmes Puller Pro's, Castle Slate etc.

    • @reggaejunkie8642
      @reggaejunkie8642 Před 4 lety

      Not sure if Holmes updated his brushed line but he definitely did on most of his brushless line. PP standard, PP Stubby, PP R and some of his Revolvers I think. He did lower the prices on his V1s now that V2s are out BUT the PP V2s have “better drag brake, adjustable and more accurate sensors, better performance in reverse rotation rigs, beefier solder tabs for lower resistance and sideways oriented sensor port for tight installs”

    • @whitsrcleftovers2707
      @whitsrcleftovers2707 Před 4 lety

      @@reggaejunkie8642 thanks for the info. The improved drag brake is what I am most curious about. I currently have a PP 540 2200KV in my roughly ten pound trx4, and it seems like it could use just a bit more. I would guess it stops holding around 35-40 degrees of slant, up or down. It's still two speed, and geared 9/45. I still love the motor. But if I'm putting it all out there, that's my only small gripe. I should have also said, running mamba x at 100 percent drag.
