I’ve had short hair for quite awhile but was growing it out for a chance of pace…my bangs were almost long enough to go behind my ears…until I saw the original version of the video. I showed that video to the stylist and got my hair cut as short as hers and I LOVE it!!!

I grew my hair without colouring for 6 months and then had it cut short from shoulder length. It's the best thing I've ever done. I have had so many compliments on how good it looks and how young I look., nobody believes I'm 73.
I am 46 and have to colour my hair every month, how did you not colour your hair for six months, I can’t cope to see my white hair 😢😢
@@daphneho115 I felt the same way, that skunk stripe I could not handle it. What I did is to tell my stylist that I wanted to do a transition. She lifted the box color from my hair and recolored with a softer/lighter brown with hi-lights and low lights so as it grew out the gray blended in. I had to have it done 3 times. It was also cut in a layered bob.

She/You were the inspiration to cut my hair like this. It took almost a year to get the guts to do it, but like her, I get so many compliments and I absolutely love my look now. I've always been classic at work and casual at home, with Jack Russell Terriers and horses what else are you going to do. Now that I'm home full-time I miss dressing up and being that classic woman. It takes a brave woman to shear off all that hair and keep it that way. She's not afraid of what anyone says about the length or colour. Some smarmy person in the comments said she looked like an old lesbian nun which I thought was very offensive. Hers was the first video I ever watched of yours, and I was so amazed and impressed at how amazing she looked after her makeover. She was pretty before, but her short hair style was WOW! She is even more beautiful with the short hair. She looks great! I was hooked on your channel from then on. I only wish I could afford to get my hair done, too. Lol Maybe not quite as short as hers, but something different. You do amazing work, and without being able to travel to Minneapolis, I'll have to continue my search in the DFW area to find someone that won't butcher my hair on a simple trim. If I can't trust a "veteran" stylist to do a simple trim, then how can I trust them to do an actual style, without messing it up? SophieMia806 Go to Ulta and try their salon. Find a mature twenty-something. I’ve had your same problem here in my hometown with old school stylists. The stylist recommended to me was twenty one with tattoos 😄. She knows different approaches, and is very patient. I’ve been going three years and still very happy. Before, I was miserable going to the hairdresser. Now, I look forward to it. I realize I can’t guarantee you the same, but just give it a go! Good luck.🍀 p.s. she would not cut & color my long hair (which I asked for). She texturizes it, which means she uses special scissors and goes inside my thick mane and thins it out vertically somehow. I’ve got about 2-3 soft layers. Now my grey hair is peeking through just right. Im a coffee dark brunette going platinum. She was almost 21, I was 59 at the time. Never been more impressed in my life at the results.
Tip: If you have an old hairdryer throw it out. The new ones are ionizing which means they dry quicker, with less damage. I got same dryer, just different technology! It also pulls less on your power supply.
