  • My second demo of favourite synth type patches (no presets) for the Roland XP Series Workstations. All recorded from an XP50 with some Reverb added to some patches.
    Mainly synth pad sounds using preset waveforms and a few extras thrown in. All patches, no performances. You can email me for the .SVD file to load via floppy :) jmp701@sky.com

    Something I should have got into a long time ago, but chose the Dj route instead, it was either a Roland XP series, one of the cheapest to start or SoundLab DLP series...the cheapest and since my keyboard skills were rotten at school, I opted to Dj instead and got the Soundlab DLP1600 belt drives. Still had lots of fun learning though, but if only I had just bought a music theory book, I think I would have understood things a lot quicker, but got there eventually.

      No, I collected these from several libraries/expansions. I can send the . SVD file to load in another XP.

    Cool patches...how does. it compare soundwise to say JD990 or JV880? Is it that much different?

      Purists may say there are differences but essentially they virtually the same. The JV1080 onwards are better value for expansions and price. Cheers
