Igli giving props for Hayden's acting and portrayal of a screwed-up Anakin is awesome.
Anakin: I killed them all!
Padmé: shut up and marry me, you absolute psychopath
btw, Coruscant has 5127 levels, lvl 0 is the planets surface, there is a bunch of lore down there ;P
21:27 the guy who offers Obi Wan the death sticks, “Elam Sleazebag”, is the same actor who played “Mouse” in the first Matrix movie. The one who wrote the program for the Lady in Red and tries to pimp her out to Neo in the movie. Matt Doran.
The entire galaxy plunged into war because sifo dyas not only trusted Dooku with his password, but became a master and never changed it.
The Jedi were truly awful at cyber security…
For me Revenge of the Sith is the best of the prequels and is also up there as one of my favorites of the franchise 😊
This was a fantastic surprise to come home from work to find up. Thank you all as usual for the amazing content.
Stop saying "the future".
Yeah, I can't remember when exactly but it's supposed to be like a long time ago
In a galaxy far, far away
I'm torn on the Tusken thing.
We don't learn enough about Tusken culture in the movies to determine if the women and children were non-combatants. It could be like the Spartans where the children are trained to fight and kill from the moment they can walk and the women are armed to defend the encampment when the men are off raiding. It's possible that he could justify it as self-defence of sorts, even though he initiated the fight.
On the other hand it does seem like he doesn't see it that way at all and feels like he did slaughter innocents. And that could be because the women and children were non-combatants or it could just be that he's judging his actions by his own human cultural morality and not based on the reality of Tusken culture.
technically even if they have tech futuristic to is, star wars doesnt take place in the future. its in the past. "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" so it coulda been like caveman times on earth when all this was happening
First time watching you guys. Appreciate you sharing some trivia I haven’t heard before! 👏🏼👏🏼
Hyped for potential Lord of the Rings content with our boy Igli lol.
fun fact grandmaster yoda uses form 4 when fighting with a lightsaber
3POs daddy is Anakin making Luke and Leah 3POs younger half siblings. R2, really being Amidala's droid, makes him the step bro?
I watched this in the cinema aged 21 preying for better than Phantom menace 🤣🤣👏the John Williams score is Genius next level for this film and Kamino is awesome
Loving these reactions and the discussions!
WOW the Star Wars knowledge dropped here made my head spin! So much info. I know I need to watch The Clone Wars for sure.
I love ❤️ starwars . Watching igli and hearing him and at same time watching all the other guys faces lol 😂 is just so great 😀 thanks gentlemen. So fun .
The scene where Obi Wan meets Boba Fett for the first time... Ewan McGregor gave some acting advice to the young Daniel Logan about how best to approach the interaction between the two characters. He told him to imagine that he just let out the most obnoxiously loud and disturbing fart imaginable...and with that in mind? A natural look of suspicious disgust and slight confusion. ... Boy! Does he ace the look he ended up giving him!! Gets me giggling every single time... Its like he just saw the robes he was wearing move via the force--of bowel breezes! 🤣🤣 I've given the exact same sorts of looks to folks who lack common sense.
42:16 Yep, thats the point. This is the start of the fall of Anakin.
1:27:23 - the novelization of Revenge of the Sith is a banger and I highly recommend it.
The movies are made for kids , THEY LOVE THEM.. especially PHANTOM MENACE you guys are adults... you will see them differently.. try to keep this in mind
In regard to your speculation about whether or not Jango's severed head was still inside his helmet. Although I'm not certain if it has been confirmed but if you review @51:29-51:32 when you see Jango's helmet flying off you'll notice the shadow of something that appears to come from the helmet which could have been Jango's head. Again I've never heard anyone confirm that so it my speculation at this point.
It’s been confirmed by LucasFilm and mentioned in one of the short documentaries about Attack of the Clones. That’s how I learned about that tidbit of info myself, I just don’t remember specifically which one it was. Maybe one of the special features.
OK, so Igli is giving major Ming the Merciless vibes, here…😏
That is not the same Sabre he had in episode 1. That one was tossed down the shaft by Maul.
Between that one and his most famous one, the Alec Guinness Sabre, he had his current (for this movie) Sabre, it looks similar to his first but does have changes.
With regard to The Phantom Menace, Lucas is known for details, and since Obi-Wan told Luke in ep IV that his father was already a great pilot by the time he met him, the pod racing was his way of keeping true to what obi-wan said. I know it kind of sucked but how else could they turn a nine year old into a great pilot? Anakin was also the only human who had reflexes fast enough to pod race. Just my opinion 🤷🏼♀️ I love all of the movies, some more than others, but for us middle-aged people, it takes us back to our childhood. 💙💚💜
mentioning "lost arms" (are lost weapons and lost swords also "lost arms" ? :-) then there are some more) is no real spoiler as long as nobody tells who or what lost them when and to/by/from whom or what. there were so many in all the movies that i hardly can count them. just think of all the sword fights against droids that already happened or will happen, or Monty Python's "Holy Grail", or any duels and bar fights not only in western movies.
but making a list and counting them at the end of all 9 or 11 movies might be fun :-)
count dooku erased kamino from the archives when he was still a jedi before he left the order and the jedi didn't know he became a sith till this movie
Igli should pursue voice acting.
Edit: I said that before he read the crawl. Lols
Remember a long time ago in a galaxy far far away
Syfodias idea, Dooku funded.
13:23 was a wholesome moment. :)
35:22 i was starting to like you guys, but you'll be relegated to the "pre-watching sons of bitches-squad" what a sad day
What's the song they were talking about with the seismic charge
they do have prostetic limbs. A certain character in the ot gets one.
Shhh gotta keep the bit going to keep Igli in the dark - Blake
I think I would enjoy these sequels more if Annikin and Padme's "love story" was more believeable. It comes across very awkward and forced. I understand that he's just... intense? But I find her reciprocating those feelings unnatural?
I dont understand being into a guy who's so obsessed with you that it's borderline creepy/desperate feeling. Who also has anger management issues issues on top of that, to the point where he was willing to kill the children of the creatures that killed his mom. Like yeah be mad, and take revenge on the adults if you gotta, but man. Obviously, this downward spiral is part of his character arc, so I get it! I just dont get HER attraction to him in return. He would make me feel sooooo uncomfortable.
The trilogy has good moments overall though.
I keep having to remind myself this is a fantasy world not a Sci fi world. They have the tech they need to move the plot and they dont the tech that would mess up the plot.
I know people like to say the Clone Wars show improves the prequels, but I don't think there was anything so wrong with them that they needed improving. While TCW fills in some interesting blanks, a lot of it is just filler, and some of it actually weakens the prequels.
For instance, in this film, it's clearly stated that the clones were genetically modified to be completely obedient, and it's heavily implied that they are the future stormtroopers. Going by what's just in the films, that's what is going on here. But TCW turned the clones into likable heroes, so to avoid pissing fans off, it was changed so that it's an inhibitor chip that makes the clones so obedient, and it's retconned that the stormtroopers are conscripts, not clones. I think this kind of weakens the effects of what comes in future films, and it's one of those things that make me want to see just the films as canon.
The original movie, Star Wars, is considered by most measures the best of all these films. It redefined movies and remains a cultural icon. The only other movie in this franchise to come close is The Empire Strikes Back. Return of the Jedi and Rogue One follow. Then maybe Revenge of the Sith. Saw every one on opening day except the first. It took 3 attempts to get tickets.
I don't like sand aka I've nothing to say 🤣🤣
To the guy that keeps saying "for the future..." just read the first four words at the start of every single movie
A long time ago...
What's your favorite Civ to play Blake?
Any civ with science boosts. Korea particularly is a lot of fun but they are OP. Babylon is fun too - Blake
@@RaggedyPack The new Yongle emporer leader for China, his Lijia ability is absolutely bonkers.
I’ll have to give it a run - Blake
Do you guys ever play Star wars bounty Hunter video game jango Fett Back story very fun game it's hard bad beat it
Idk what you’re talking about but it sounds cool! - Blake
@@RaggedyPack oh yes this game is amazing I can't wait I have to make a remake of this game but I don't think it will but this game is pretty amazing
Hello, Raggedy Pack Bros. Hi, Wyatt (nice 'stache...the 'stache gives LIFE..how's The High Republic treating you?..I'm hoping to finish Phase Two, before Phase Three begins, just before Thanksgiving...it seems, The Acolyte will make direct references to the events of 100 to 250 years before its live-action story; including a major character from the books, comics, and video game), Blake, Corey, and Igli (welcome, Man!). Episode II...without question, my LEAST FAVORITE Star Wars movie...BEFORE We include The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker (I don't count The Disney ST as canon, though). Perhaps you should have had Igli watch, along with TOTJ, The Clone Wars 2008 Animated film, which would've given him an even better idea about where this film is going, since TCW is so much better than this film? Ironically enough, there's better romance in that Animated film than pretty much all We got in this "love story" episode of The SWU...
The funny thing about Representative Jar Jar Binks...I have a strong theory about WHAT he may have been doing, when Order 66/Operation Knightfall began...and WHAT he did over the ensuing years, while "playing" the naive, ne'er-do-well Gungan, who gave Sheev Palpatine the power to (ultimately) destroy The Galactic Republic...a spy for Naboo, The Rebellion, and a secret friend to Lor San Tekka and The Church Of The Force (intentionally started during the birth of The Empire)...
Can't wait to see you Guys' reaction to the likely gloriousness We will experience, on August 23rd, when Ahsoka begins. May The Force Be With You...
We’re aiming to have those Ahsoka reactions out day of! Igli will watch all of the clone wars with Corey eventually. It’ll probably be one of his favorite shows of all time I’d imagine. MTFBWY - Blake
Glad Anthony brought up the Dark Jar Jar theory. You need to show Igli this after you finish the movies lmao
@@JohnYoo39 Actually, my theory is that, to make amends for being manipulated by Palpatine, for the next 20-plus years, in small yet significant ways, he's aided The Rebellion, esp. when it came to spying Imperials, then passing on intel to other Fulcrum cells, protecting surviving Jedi, safekeeping Force artifacts, and helping to create the beginnings of The Hidden Path. Perhaps, by the time of The Galactic Civil War and its aftermath (The Mandoverse), he's a full member of The Church Of The Force.
Rewatching after yrs, still struggled with Hayden’s Anakin some. Has some craft (eg, Shattered Glass, Kenobi), grown up and into himself. So, I’m wondering if the writing & direction could’ve been a factor. Or even the incredible pressure on him WRT the prequels. Set me straight?
It’s the Writing in some instances where it can be obvious what Lucas is pulling from but most of it is the style of acting and Anakin’s character. It threw people off for people that wanted Anakin to be like Han Solo and that’s where the hate started. It’s important to note Hayden plays Anakin deliberately monotone because of Anakin’s upbringing and training as a Jedi. It was also mimicking the cadence of speech Darth Vader’s voice had.
I can't take the [undeserved] hate & negativity towards the Prequels! 🙅🏼♂️🙅🏼♂️🙅🏼♂️
... gonna have to pass for now
Not sure I understand your comment because me and Wyatt are the two biggest prequel fans around. - Blake
The Clone Wars butchered so much stuff
