Find a close knit community or Village to have a home base. No contracts, they'll keep an eye on your place while you're gone on a trip. Build to your specifications and don't buy someone else's headaches. Vacant lot first and build when you are ready.

If you come back to Michigan especially the UP you need to hike Pictured Rocks. My husband & I are 64 and we do an 11 mile hike every year. No wild animals and the beauty of Lake Superior & rocks are awe inspiring.

My suggestion since you are taking older age into consideration…… a stair case into a loft for living quarters might not be a good idea. If for some reason you ended up with a broken leg or unable to climb stairs for some reason. I only mention because the older I get the less stairs I want to climb. Just a thought. Great video BTW! But I do agree with you that you are going to need a home base that is just for you believe me I get that none of us are going to stay young. So I am really glad you are thinking about long term just for yourself. Everyone needs some time and a space alone. Wow a lot of exciting things happening for you. Your conversations sounded like you're very aggravated with with your followers asking questions, maybe you should take a "Yube-tation". A vacation from doing youtube and all that goes with it. You're starting to sound very defensive and it wasn't like that when I first started following you.
