Elden Ring is set in a dark fantasy world called the "Lands Between." The world was created by the Elden Ring, a powerful object that has been shattered, leading to chaos and turmoil. Players assume the role of the "Tarnished," a character who has been exiled and embarks on a quest to restore the Elden Ring and bring order to the world.
Elden Ring is known for its intentionally cryptic and enigmatic storytelling style, where much of the lore is left open to interpretation and speculation. Players may need to piece together clues, engage in speculative discussions with the community, and make their own interpretations to fully understand the lore of Elden Ring and its intricacies.
In alot of my videos we break down the epic tale of Elden Ring, from its origins to its climactic finale. We analyse the intricate web of narratives, the fates of key characters, and the deep lore that binds this fantastical world together. With in-depth storytelling and meticulous attention to detail.
Elden Ring is also an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration; it features elements similar to those found in other games developed by FromSoftware, such as the Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the open world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game's progression-similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls-and are explorable using the character's mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system is an available option. Throughout the game, players encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main are
Soulsborne or soulsbornekiroring (a bit of a mouthful) is the title given to games fromsoftwares made over the last 15 years, soulslike refers to games that take inspiration from fromsoftwares game design!
The elden ring outer gods lore is so amazing I'm a massive cosmic horror fan so it just ticks all the boxes I have lmao! I also love the elden ring numen lore like damn its cool! also also the elden ring land of reeds Is so cool too!
You've probably all heard of dark souls or bloodborne over the years and while there probably wont ever be a dark souls 4 or a Bloodborne 2 (As much as I want a bloodborne 2 i lose hope every day)the trilogy legacy and bloodborne will live on as a classic for a very long time!

I feel Alexander's place in the story has a similar function as most characters in Nier Auto: show humanity in things that aren't human. I find the magical nature of ER's setting liberating enough to allow these kinds of stories.

I think another of Alexander's facets is that he portrays a wholesome and good natured fellow that just happens to commit unspeakable acts as everyday work.

The fact you have to kill a buddy to get an excellent talisman sucks. But then again if you keep track on how many other NPC's lives you ruin just to get to the end makes ya ask "Was it worth becoming Elden Lord?"

This is a whole debate, but I have a pretty simple point of view about it.
First, no being should be considered "lesser". Our inability to prove an organism sapient does not mean it is not. Only that we have no idea if it is or not. And while most likely their psyche works on a different basis than ours, it does not mean it is inferior, just different.
    Then regarding Elden Ring,
If we assume it is a game, then of course, every entity their is man made. None of them have a real personality, and for the moment, without the addition of AI, we can fairly comfortably prove they are not sapient.
Assuming it is real (not a game) then it matters little the origins of each ones. At the end, they all have a life, a purpose, and something they want to achieve, and are ready to struggle to achieve said goal (even the Tarnished). Coming to realize where this urge comes from does not invalidate the being they are. They can chose to go against their nature, but they still are obliged to abide by them (like getting nutriments for the body, rest, and other vitals needs).
Same can be said for us Human beings in the real world. Proud of our "Only known sapient beings known to us", we yet have no proof that we are not, in fact, like the jaars people in Elden ring. Programmed by (you choose what from : God, Aliens, Evolution...) our DNA to perform all the complexes tasks we are able to perform, for a purpose we are yet to realize... Maybe our goal is to keep reproducing, until nature takes over once again and we all go extinct because "the tarnished" of our world wiped our entire specie.
And maybe our sapient state is just an other thing our "code" allows us to think. Just like Alexander is able to be very different from the others jars we meet.

Another great vid, of course! I don't mind the rambly bits, because you know that's how my mind works too, lol! I thought at first the Marionettes were just enchanted metal constructs, now, holy s%#@, these poor guys! They got f-ed over, just like almost everyone else in the Lands Between! I bet the second part of the Shadow of the Erdtree, is about the Gloam-Eyed Queen! It HAS to, it's TOO huge, just to let it sit there! Especially, if you get the Frenzied Flame Ending, she flat-out RETURNS, and vows to hunt you down and kill you! Possibly, Miquella is the one to help her with that! Because, fighting the actual Lord of Chaos, in the usual methods, is either going to be VERY difficult or too time consuming! Depending on WHICH ending you got in the main game, the DLC could have multiple endings as well! (If you're the Lord of Chaos) I'm imagining a cutscene, a fully-grown and powered Miquella, sighs sadly, and then states:' Even I cannot abide by this! The Good and Malign, together is one thing, but, when ALL of existance is threatened, I cannot do this alone!' He then turns around and says over his shoulder:' Will you help me?' A figure that has been standing in the shadows, starts to walk forward. Now, face to face with Miquella, slowly pulls back the hood on their cloak, and simply says:' I will!' It's Melina, who, was either the Gloam-Eyed Queen this whole time, or, is the NEW Gloam-Eyed Queen, the last resort, by whom or whatever, to save all life, and everything within it! IF this even somewhat happens, we could see Mohg, Morgott, and Malenia again! But, this time, they would be in their PRIME! IF the Gloam-Eyed Queen had that level of power over Death Itself, could she resurrect them to battle against the Lord of Frenzied Flame? We don't know exactly what the Outer God of Death was! I think the Twinbird was just it's Vassal Beast, like the Elden Beast was for the Greater Will. IF things go THAT bad, could the missing Draconic God return too? I have another theory, and it's about Grandsax! I think he was the Vassal Beast for whatever Outer God was for the Dragons! Placidusax was the Dragonlord! But what about Grandsax, his corpse covers half of Leyndell! He was SO powerful, it took Godwyn, defeating him alone, after Grandsax killed everyone else in Godwyn's Army! What else could Grandsax be, but, the Vassal Beast for the Outer Draconic God! Far as I know, no one else has even asked or talked about it, yet. I know you really like my crazy theories, so, I put them here! This DLC could be the biggest we have ever seen! It could go in so many directions!
